Cupping is a traditional therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. It's believed to promote blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and reduce inflammation. The great news is it really helped. I was sent on my way with additional direction to follow at home with tendinitis and heat/cold therapy along with specific exercises to work on. I have never met this Dr, and yet he is charging me for interpreting my results, and supervising. You would think at a minimum I would have met him, but he was not there. I don't understand how is supervising my test when he wasn't there. A friend said what if he was there and just not within your site. Okay, then why did he not come and introduce himself. When I called his office to complain, I get the manager Wausaw (not sure how to spell) and she lied about saying my primary care doctor referred him. He made room for me on relatively short notice and I got in to see him on a Saturday when my surgery was scheduled for Tuesday next. I found him professional, knowledgeable, articulate, and thorough. He took his time and did it right, ordering up tests that were needed but not wasting any time. So while my meeting with Dr. Sankari was just for cardiac clearance, I feel I now have a cardiologist on my health team. I am glad I met Dr. Sankari and will stay with him in the future. While I checked in on YELP through Dr. Sankari's Joliet office, he really has a number of places he can be seen. I saw him at Silver Cross hospital (New Lenox) but he also has offices in Tinley Park, Joliet, Oak Lawn, and Lockport.

I've been seeing this doctor…read morefor over 2 years, being a long time (10+ years) sufferer of Ankylosing Spondylitis, Reactive arthritis, etc (depends who you ask) and have become very familiar with every treatment offered (from chemotherapy to immuno-suppressants and TNF blockers like Humira), diet changes and even corrective surgery (yikes!) available under the sun. So, it seems very strange to me that when I call the office for the first time in 2 years reporting an acute inflammation and pain flare-up asking to fill a prescription for an emergency Prednisone pack (which is what helped me in the past), I get a callback 5 hours later with their secretary's barely intelligible instructions on how to take Aleve twice a day with food. Did anyone even bother to look at my chart and medical history? A whooping 5 seconds would have revealed that I was under observation for the last year, following doctor's suggestion to gradually get off my current medications and reporting an acute flare-up is definitely a RED FLAG. Inexcusable. Also, how little am I informed about how to take Aleve after 10 years of joint pain? Why would I bother calling the office if I wasn't panicking in unbearable pain that I haven't felt in 7 years? Criminal carelessness and neglect.
