Brett and my wife walked around dropping color samples in different parts of the area until she landed on the combo she liked. My expectations one the price were high so I was pleasantly surprised when the price was less then half of my expected amount so I added a couple hundred more feet. We had our pool deck done with their Revaflex rubber decking product. We absolutely love it. It looks awesome and the best part it is cooler on the feet. Yes, it gets warm but nothing like the cool deck before, that was burning bare feet. The grandkids can run around bare feet now. The sales rep from the beginning was honest and answered all our questions. The crew that put the product down was professional and did and good job. There were some problems with areas, but they are coming back to take care of it. We are very pleased with the work. And the pool deck looks awesome. Plus, the product is warranty for 20 years so we should not have to worry about it for a long time and just enjoy our pool and deck. read more

***DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THESE PEOPLE *** We signed the contract with Cardinal Concrete on June 27th, 2023, for $14,000 with a down payment of $7,000. Much higher than other bids but came with a 25-year warranty and a great presentation of professional work and quality materials. Work was started and completed in September 2023, while grinding the old epoxy coatings off with a large concrete grinder they gouged a large chunk of concrete from the left-hand center where the driveway flattens out. They also removed the membrane from the expansion joint in the center of the driveway. They then went to Home Depot and came back with floor leveling compound that was then used to fill the gouged area, level the area and filled the expansion joint. When I questioned the supervisor about the wisdom of using that product and filling the expansion joint, I was told that "they did it all the time and it would be fine" I called and then emailed Cardinal concrete in January of 2024 to inform them that after a snow storm the driveway was so slick it was unusable. We first discovered this when a UPS driver slipped and fell. I then tried to use my snow blower to clear the driveway but could not get traction to go up hill on the driveway and the flat area was like a skating rink. We waited a few days for the snow to melt and needed to get our car out of the driveway and our 2022 Trailhawk slid down the driveway into our railing causing $5,000 dollars' worth of damage. I had AAA come out to pull our car out of the driveway and the driver slipped and fell banging his head on the driveway. After the next snow I tried to clear the driveway with a snow shovel and slipped on the flat section of the driveway and slipped and fell fracturing my C1 vertebrae and got 9 stitches in my forehead. Cardenal Concrete said that they could not fix the driveway until the overnight temperature was in the 50*s. Before the returned the covered expansion joint started cracking out as well as the area that was patched with floor leveling compound. At first the contractor said he would not repair the expansion joint of the gouged area as they weren't responsible for cracks in concrete until I reminded him that his company did the repair and filled the expansion joint. While waiting for them to return, we had many storms and the driveway continued to deteriorate, with water pouring through the expansion joint and causing rust to develop underneath on the metal tray supporting the concrete. Cardinal Concrete returned in June 2024 to repair the damaged areas and add grit to the finish. They used a different product to repair the gouged area and removed the floor leveling compound from the expansion joint, filling it with pool noodles as backing rod and covering with sika expansion joint compound. On December 21st we notified Cardenal Concrete that there was blistering in the same area as had been repaired previously and asked them to please look at it before water got under the finish and caused more damage. Mike from Cardinal Concrete came out to look at the driveway and initially sent me a bid for $600.00 to repair and recoat the failing area, after I spoke with him, he agreed to repair it under warranty. Cardinal Concrete's worker returned on June 9th, 2025 and started grinding in the failing area and then stopped to inform me that in his opinion the concrete was failing, and he would need to stop and contact Mike, the owner of Cardinal Concrete. I finally spoke with Mike on June 16th, and he insisted that it was not his responsibility to repair the concrete, but he would be willing to recoat the affected area once repaired. My point of view is I paid a premium for an attractive coating that would increase my property value but ended up after three years of headache and an ugly and damaged driveway. 8-13-2025 Cardinal Concrete was directed to repair driveway by Arizona Register of Contractors. 9-14-2026 sent an email concerning driveway delamination. 9-18-2026 called Cardinal Concrete to ask when I could expect contact after several additional emails. It has become obvious they have no intention of honoring the 25-year warranty. read more

This is my patio at 6 months and I'm out 3K. I lost in small claims court because CCC convinced the judge that when somebody spills something acidic like a soda or something, it can cause tacky spots. Never mind the fact that the very first time we walked on it 48 hrs later, we reported the 1st uncured spot that they promptly repaired. The tech said "yep still tacky." It was insinuated that I was a Karen because I was displeased with the patch (first thing you see walking out the door). Yes it is small (hand sized), but is hardly just a sheen problem. It hasn't disappeared yet -see included pic. There are other unsightly areas (I'll leave those pic out for now) so I asked for a discount. Fast forward to my complaint with the ROC. The worst of the spots still had yet to appear and he dismissed. Then the judge must have bought into their "spillage" tale, in part due to the ROC report that could neither prove nor disprove the claim. Take note of the patterning on some of this. NOT spills. Again, the dark spots evolved, and other than the repair, were not evident at the time of the ROC. But other ugliness existed - pics upon request. Mr. Davis also claimed to the ROC and the court hearing officer that with mixing problems the entire patio will fail and that spots like this aren't possible. I'll let ya'll do your own Google search using the terms tacky spots, polyaspartic, and mix. Improper mixing or bucket dribbles are usually the cause. No drop cloths were used BTW. Since they are the experts, they stuck to their story. Too bad I couldn't ask the judge to Google. I did have a few websites printed out saying tacky spots were possible, but it did no good. And he just didn't get past the fact that I had asked for a discount back then, but wanted a full refund now. Pretty sure he didn't take into account how much worse it had gotten. In my opinion do not go to the ROC first. They don't cite if it's only ugly. They look to see that it meets "bare minimum" and is it conclusive. It can hurt you in court. You are likely to be lucky and get a nice patio like the ones they show on their website. But if something goes awry don't expect CCC to step up. IMO not honest folks. I don't know what happed but I am 100% sure I didn't spill something within the 2 days between installation and when I reported a problem. And I did not fling battery acid about. Sorry so long but after several edits I can now move onto forgetting about the experience! No pertinent facts were harmed. And yeah, watch those soda pops! Edited to say that CCC explored all options except for making this right. The repairs mentioned are the one patch seen and no further effort of comprise of any sort. The pics do not lie. read more

To start with the sales rep James was fabulous, the workers who did the coating were great. However the phone system sucks. No-one ever answers the phone. I got put on eternal hold every time i called, so frustrating.. I had to call the owner to get anything done. Please check your phone system and see who is responsible to answer the phone because they are not dong a very good job of it. read more

We had finally decided to do something to improve our backyard patio which had ratty old carpeting, which was ruined from sun exposure, rain, and pool water from family members coming out of the pool. Someone suggested removing the carpeting and having the fairly small 8'x20' concrete slab coated. I contacted several concrete coating companies, only 2 companies got back with me in a timely manner, one of them without seeing it, told me no matter the size, the minimum price would be $2,800. The other company was Cardinal Concrete Coatings, which arranged to come out the next day with samples. James Raanes, was right on time. He looked everything over, showed us a bunch of photos on his tablet of patios they had coated, he also had samples that we could see and feel the texture. (we were concerned about it being too slippery when wet) He answered all our questions and quoted us a very fair price. We were very comfortable with him, and decided to hire Cardinal. The staff was excellent at communicating with us via texts, emails and over the phone to make sure everything would be set for the service day. The crew that did the job were awesome. I was at work that day, so they met with my wife, and involved her in everything they were doing. They took care to protect the area before starting (covered a portion of our pool, the glass patio doors, etc. They removed the old carpeting and FULLY prepared the concrete (leveling, no cracks, bumps, etc.) and involved my wife with the amount of sparkles she wanted added. As they finished, I had just gotten home, and the crew leader went over everything with us, everything they did, and what we needed to know going forward (not walking on it for 24 hrs. when to move furniture on it, etc.) He wanted to make sure we were totally comfortable before he left. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up and leaving everything spotless. We had the "Patio Full flake system", with extra sparkles (looks very cool in the sunlight) We are very happy with the finished product, and have already shown it to some of our friends, and we recommended Cardinal to them. I had my contactors license in WA state and a RE broker both here in AZ and WA. I had the sales person come out to my clients home they are buying for a simple estimate on a 2 car garage which were estimated at $1700-$2500 plus a lifetime warranty. Poly product. First off, he was 45 min past our appt and never even called to let me know he was going to be late until it was 11:05 and my appt was at 11. Then when he emailed me the estimate it was $$8375 then minus a $400 discount...LOL I would never refer or trust this company! read more

When someone spends 6 hours on their hands and knees scraping a spill off your driveway, in the 120 degree heat, and then continues to apologize for the inconvenience... that is someone I will work with again. CCC did my patio and pool deck last year. They totally wrecked my pool and it costs $500 for me to have the pool drained, power washed, filters cleaned and pool filled. they failed to adequately protect the pool when the started the removal of the existing deck material. After I posted photos they asked me to take it down and I refused. They asked me to submit the quote for the pool cleanup and they paid the $500. Fast forward to December 2022, I requested a quote from CCC and two others as well to do my 3 car garage. CCC was quite a bit more expensive than others but they made promises to use better materials, do a few "patches of concrete" in the existing floor as well as to repair a few cracks in the concrete prior to coating. They did NOT REPAIR THE CHIPPED CONCRETE NOR DID THEY REPAIR THE CRACKS AS PROMISED. When the install crew came out and applied the base coat they got sloppy with it and threw it up onto my freshly painted white baseboards. The base coat was also allowed to migrate onto the remaining existing concrete slab outside the garage. The base coat dried a light brown color so now my baseboards must be repainted which the install lead person said that he would come back and do for me but he is nowhere to be found now. After a complaint to the office they sent out someone to evaluate everything and he took photos like the initial guy did for the quote. He documented all of my concerns but said that HE WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING THE REPAIRS MADE AND THAT ALL HE WAS DOING WAS TO MAKE A REPORT AND SUBMIT IT TO THE OFFICE!!!!! Bottom line, they are overly expensive, their crews do NOT pay attention to detail and it seems that they get their $$$ and run, like other homeowners have stated was their feelings also. Don't use them is my review. $25 grand into them and I'm NOWHERE HAPPY WITH THEM! RUN FOREST, RUN! read more

Hiring this company for the1600sq. ft 4 car/RV garage in our new build was a big mistake! I paid professional money to receive DIY results that had to be corrected 3 times and take 44 days to complete the project from start to finish... I made the 50% down payment on 7/20/22. I was originally scheduled for Aug. 22 & 23, but apparently the scheduler left the company, and I ended up being scheduled for Sep. 1 & 2. The first install was completed on Sep. 1st. After the install I realized that the surface was extremely rough, they did not knock down the chip flakes enough and there were sharp spots all over. I contacted CCC and they sent out a crew to fix it the next day (Sep.2nd). They sanded it down and recoated it. The topcoat is supposed to dry to vehicle traffic in 24 hours I think but the 2nd time they worked on our floor it did not dry. After 5 days there was still a couple areas (10' x 10') that were still wet and our garage still had a strong chemical smell. I contacted CCC again and they ended up scheduling with my wife to come out on Sep. 16th. I had to change that date since we were having our driveway extended that day and CCC would not come out. They pushed us back until Oct. 7th stating that we had to work with them... On Oct. 7th they came back and sanded down all the rough areas and redid the areas that were still tacky/wet from Sep. 2nd! This time they did a pretty good job but still made the same mistakes, the stress joints were not sanded and coated to make a sealed surface and there were several areas that had chips sticking up. They ended up dragging all the wet/tacky stuff into the next pad and now instead of having a nice clean chip flake it looks like dirt. They came back on Oct. 15th and sanded and fixed most the areas. What was supposed to be a 1 day install ended up turning into everything from our garage sitting outside for 6 weeks during rain and dust storms! My toolbox that was under a tarp ended up getting dust all over in it and the slides are all gritty now. I had to clean everything before putting it back in our garage... Communication to and from this company is horrible, texting ended up being the most reliable, but you really had no idea who you were actually talking with. read more

After 2 years of having my backyard concrete coated I ran in to Darren Ellison. I ran in to Darren because I was having cracking issues with my pool deck. With some help Darren was assigned to my project to fix the cracks and make it right. The original plan was to clean the cracks and refill them. After further inspection Darren and Alex who is the owners son agreed that in order to do the job and make it right they had to redo the whole pool deck. If you want to have someone who takes pride in his work and will do the job right from the start ask for Darren to be your crew leader. I am upgrading my 1 star rating to a 4 star rating because of Darren and his pride in workmanship. My new pool deck looks great! I now enjoy sitting in my yard again knowing we shouldn't have anymore problems in the future. read more

So glad I found this company to solve my ugly concrete patio problem. My salesman James was really helpful and very knowledgeable about concrete and also the products Cardinal offers. As promised the two man work crew showed up on time and eager to get started. Mareslino and Anthony were a pleasure to work with and they both took a lot of pride in their work. The day started with grinding and patching of the damaged concrete. Note: take the time and effort to cover anything you don't want covered in very fine concrete dust. Even though the guys did all they could it will still fill the air and settle everywhere. I'm glad I did. The application of the product is very quick. Once the prep is done things move quickly. The final result was even better than I was expecting! This product for my money is far superior to Epoxy or Kool Decking. It's also a lot less expensive. If I have any complaint it would be that it's pretty glossy and will cause significant glare if used outdoors like on a patio. A matte finish clear coat would be nice. Hopefully the gloss will dissipate over time. read more

I really didn't want to do this but we hired Cardinal Concrete to do our pool deck that had some cracking etc. We were given the quote and told there would be a 3-4 week wait. That was okay with us. Then the nightmare began. The 2-3 day job has now turned into over 3 weeks and unfortunately 75% of our pool looks great but the other 25% is blotchy and looks horrible. Apparently they sent out inexperienced workers and then they were hurriedly trying to correct the job. Not only were we unable to use our pool for over a week, the job dragged on for 2 more weeks of them trying to correct the bad work. I made the mistake of giving them the final check, now we are being ignored and our calls are going unanswered. They were very nice and accommodating until we complained and now I guess we are just the "suckers" that paid for a sloppy project. You will never see our pool deck pictures posted on their webpage because this job is not worthy of the "another satisfied customer" and they know it. They are unable to correct the mistake so instead of trying to make it right, they just are now making themselves unavailable. read more

The flooring installed is perfect. The installation was not. When we made the appointment we told the lady we wanted time to put bisquene over the open shelving. She told us we did not have to do that because their equipment has a vacuum on it and draws up any dust created. This is not true. Our garage was covered in sand and dust; even inside the washer and dryer and inside the shelving with doors on them. I have an art studio in the garage and open shelving for cleaning products as well as stained glass. Everything was covered. I have so far worked cleaning up the dust for 5 days and have many more to go. My point is get the floor, but put up plastic sheeting over everything to save yourself a huge headache. read more
