The venue was very beautiful with manicured lawns, a castle-like building, and a sufficiently large banquet hall for guests and a live band. The hors d'eouvres included spring rolls, phyllo triangles filled with cheese, and coconut shrimp. Since we were here on Star Wars day (May 4th), there were even green Yoda drinks with eyes and lime slices for ears. They definitely played up this theme all day and it was a really nice touch. What was noticeable throughout the evening was how good the food was. Everyone at the table said it was better than previous years at a different golf course. The antipasto, which is usually my least favorite dish, was really good. The beef entree was amazing. It was cooked perfectly medium on the inside with the same color pink throughout. The staff were courteous and accommodating. One person at our table asked for the personal caesar salad without bacon since the shared salad had bacon and we pretty much received another shared salad. Towards the end of the evening, the staff were clearing off tables while the banquet was winding down. But they were a little too quick to clear the tables that they took away someone's photo booth photos before those people came back to the table to claim their photos. The tee box, fairways, greens, etc. The staff everywhere were extremely friendly and attentive. We had a great time yesterday morning. Maybe turn up the heat and turn down that chilly wind. It has a rustic feel and it's similar to a barn, without being gross and cold. The bathrooms were nice, though a bit chillier than I would've wanted. But they were nice. The hall for the reception was really nice and spacious. Good amount of room for the dance floor too. We had a really great meal too. We both have allergies, so we got modified meals, thanks to the wedding coordinator, Hayden. He was really great and super attentive to any problems we or anyone else had. I believe we started with a carrot and tomato purée, followed by a flat rice noodle red sauce 'pasta' which to be honest was too undercooked for me. Then a cut of roast beef, soooo tasty! Moist and just delicious. The side of mashed potatoes was also fantastic. And it ended on a delicious couple scoops of sorbet. It was really such a great meal, minus the noodles, but that's ok.

Glen Eagle is a pretty nice 27 hole course. It has a funny layout for their Yellow Track…read more If I remember correctly, there are three colours - red, blue, yellow. Red has hole number 9 come back to the clubhouse, Blue 9 ends at the halfway house and Yellow 1 starts at the halfway house and ends back at the clubhouse. I may have Red and Blue mixed up. Nonetheless, if you finish at Yellow 1, you have a long and thrilling drive - if you follow the Yellow track back via the holes, as golfers launch balls by you - or a confusing drive, as you try to navigate the back trails. The course is well matured and kept in good conditions. The place has great elevation changes and if you are not in the best physical condition, take the cart. The course can be long and hard on some of "weekend warriors" who are more in it for the "weekend" and less "warrior." The clubhouse is good for hosting tournaments. The buffet dinners they serve are pretty decent and well executed by the staff. The golf for tournaments are well planned and after 50 years of doing it, they have it right for sure. I've played this course at least once a year in either a tournament or an outing with my friends. I play it seldom because it is not convenient for me, but I would play it more if I was closer to it. Fees are acceptable and I find it worth the value. FORE!!!! Cheers.

I've played here many times because I have friends who are members here and I've hosted golf tournaments here. The pro shop and F&B staff are always very accommodating of our requests and the food quality is good. For today's round, we got rained out early into the back nine. Getting a rain cheque was no problem. With nothing else to do, we had lunch in the clubhouse. Today's special was a half a rack of ribs with coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs were cooked very well and fall-off-the-bone tender. Nice flavour. The potato salad and coleslaw were properly seasoned. I'm very particular about potato salad and most lack any kind of seasoning. This one was good. As long as St. Andrew's Valley keeps doing things right, I'll keep making the 45 minute drive from home to get here.

Location: It's in Aurora east of yonge Street off on the north side of St. Johns side road. Parking: Golf course in the suburbs= lots of places for cars. They have a main lot and a side lot. You are good to go. Property: Golf course so lots of green. There are three buildings. A club house, a meeting building (where we were) and a barn where I think they keep the golf carts. Great landscaping and the buildings are cute. If you didn't know it was a golf course you would think it was a winery or those little shops that make their buildings look old time ish There's a cute patio off of the meeting building that looks out over the gf course. It's really nice Meeting building: It could be nicer inside. It's an 1980sand 1990s mix. The weird thing, everything seems new. They need to hire a decorator. Salmon paint in the washrooms. Not so classy Oh the washrooms, they have two women stalls in the washroom on the lower floor. Not the best when there's a meeting with a lot of women. You have to walk down stairs to get to them. If you can't walk down stairs you have to go to another building to use the accessible washrooms. That doesn't seem right. Minus one star. Oh they really need to clean the carpets, they are filthy. Visibly filthy Food: Yum The staff is able to take neutral foods, chicken-salmon-veg-pasta, and make it tastes great. Always more than enough for everyone, served on time and by smiling buffet staff. I also love their coffee. It's a welcome surprise compared to the weak water down stuff you get at other places Fruit trays were great, fresh and in season fruit. Dessert trays, heavy on the. Chocolate (love). Can tell it's brought in, but who cares, they had nanaimo bars!!

This is great golf course for beginners like me. The price was also very reasonable. There's also an area for driving range if you just want to practise your swings. I've only gone on a course a few times so I'm still not too familiar with all the rules. If you are not too familiar with it as well, be sure to read the rules on the card that I've posted. Remember to arrive 20 mins before your Tee time to make payment and you should book the time in advance. This is another great fun family activity for "staycation". With my family, we don't take this game seriously so we play best ball so that we don't feel too much pressure from the group behind us. I recall the first time taking my daughter golfing when she was about 9 and she just loved riding the power kart!

I was pleasantly surprised to find Bibimbap on the menu so I had to try it. It may not have been as authentic as what I've had at Korean restaurants but it was pretty good. I had requested no cucumbers and they were happy to comply. My playing partners seemed to enjoy their meals also. The restaurant was busy with many other golfers waiting out the rain. Unfortunately, it started raining a lot harder while we were eating and then came the hail and wind. We never made it out to the golf course. We would have needed a canoe to get around out there. Played 18 holes here, first nine at Parkland, last nine at Forest…read more It was corporate golf tournament and I was coming from the states that morning and wasn't bringing any clubs with me so I called twice in advance to see if they could set aside some lefty women's clubs for me. They said sure and took my name. When I got there, about 1/2 hour before our start, they told me they don't have any lefty women's clubs at all... and it wasn't that they ran out-- they just didn't have any! That was frustrating since I had called ahead to check. Lefties never get any love! They did have one set but it was graphite and it might have been mens, which is probably why they said it would be heavier, but I didn't have any problems with it considering it was a one time rental. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and gave our group towels to keep our cart seats dry in the rain. The course is just beautiful with a variety of Par 3, 4 and 5's and the weather improved for us as we played. Nice locker rooms and facilities at the club house. They do cater on site although the food was just decent and nothing to get excited about. I believe this is a members only club so, if you're in the Toronto area and can get a member to include you, this is a great stop for a day of golf.

Of course, back then, before anybody ever heard of ClubLink, this golf course was known as Gormley Green. It was cheap and the conditions were reasonable (for the time). There was barely a clubhouse and, if I recall, hardly any food. Fast forward to yesterday, after fifteen or more years of ownership under ClubLink and a name change to Station Creek, I returned to have lunch and play a round of golf. A lot has changed, mostly to the clubhouse. It's new, compared to when I last played here. The clubhouse now houses a well stocked pro shop, a large restaurant with a good sized patio, and a banquet room. The parking lot is well partitioned and treed. There is a new halfway house between nines on the North Course course, right by the parking lot. I don't remember there being a driving range here before but there is one now, although it looks like it's seen better days. Although it's been a very long time since I've played here, the course layout did seem familiar. I remembered most of the holes. Some of these trees, of course, seemed a lot bigger and more plentiful. I don't remember there being so many bunkers though. I found several of them. Darn. The course conditions were a lot better than I remember. With this being a private club now, that's to be expected. I will say that the course has matured very well since I last played it. I did have lunch in the clubhouse before playing and it was a good meal. I had the Chicken Clubhouse Sandwich with a Caesar Salad and it was very enjoyable. It wasn't the typical double-decker sandwich cut into quarters but just two slices of bread with the ingredients between them. The Caesar salad was good. It was a good meal but the staff were a bit slow in clearing tables. The table I really wanted to sit at wasn't cleared properly before I arrived and remained in that state when I left. There was only one other table occupied in this section. It could have been cleared. Overall, it was an enjoyable day. It was nice to return to a course I hadn't played at in over fifteen years. Maybe I'll have to come back.

Station Creek has come a long way from its Gormley Greens days. Under Clublink ownership it has…read moreblossomed into a beautifully manicured and maintained course, but still kept some of its casual vibe (you can wear jeans and hats in the restaurant). 3.5 stars There is a large outdoor gazebo as well as interior space for the restaurant. The gazebo is perfect on a breezy day - we could have napped there it was so relaxing. Some good finds in the restaurant, but not all is stellar. If you like curry, then you should know that it is the chef's specialty and an off menu item that you can get most days. Favourite with the regulars The turkey burger was one of the best I have ever had and since they made the fries to order I had some on the side, crispy and hot. The nachos were a miss. The cheese tasted like bag cheese and it was not completely melted. On weekends I have had take home French toast which was good. If you have a food and beverage credit to work out, then this is a good spot for that. I am not sure that I would drive so far out of my way otherwise.
