Flew from LA to go to this venue for a family wedding. Quick summary: beautiful golf course and banquet hall. Decent but not fantastic food. Service was average. Parking isn't a hassle I've been to multiple country clubs in LA, but the scenery at this golf club really stands out. Conditions were perfect: grass was well kept, a lake overlooking the sunset mixed with bunkers, hills and a few trees made this course a unique blend of British links golf and Canadian wilderness. The scenery is the highlight of this establishment. Interior of the banquet hall was modern and beautiful. Bathrooms were clean and had mouthwash and lotion- typical fancy amenities. Food was okay. We got a three course meal. Garden salad, steak and salmon, creme brûlée and cake. Salad wasn't anything special, no dressing just some walnuts and strawberries. Steak was a bit overcooked. Salmon was okay but lacked flavor. Best part was the dessert. Creme brûlée was my favorite and I would highly recommend it for anyone who decides to do an event here. They also served an odd red velvet cake which was uneven, some parts were salty and others were sour (I don't know if that was a Canadian thing). Service was okay. Everyone was accommodating but they were understaffed. Had to wait a while to get orders in. Overall, you really pay for the scenery at this place. The food was pretty mediocre but you get to take some awesome pictures

Came here for a staff event and was in one of the meeting rooms on the second floor. The lookout to the golfcourse is stunning. The resident catering company Lago serves delicious pastries as well as their hot catered lunch menu. The butternut squash soup, bruschetta and the white sauce cannolini were delicious. I'm not a golfer so can't comment on the golf course. The location is very high end and looks like a great location to host parties and weddings.

Absolutely stunning golf course. This is a links course and the bunkers are 7feet deep!!! Incredible!! Very tough course which keeps bringing me back time after time! Well groomed and fantastic holes. I really do wish they had gps in the carts. But most people have them on their watch or phone so this is not something that a lot of people would wish.

    Course.

A few months ago, Yelp GTA (that's me) hosted a fun-filled event that took guests back in time to the 80s. But the event is not the focus of the review, the focus is the venue. Now as I mentioned you might not know it's here as it's located in a sort of hidden portion of the Schwartz-Reisman Centre. But now as you read this review, know that the juice (this venue) is totally and completely worth the squeeze (the search). The doors from the main center open up to wide hall, large enough to host an event if so required, lined with doors leading to multiple event spaces, washrooms and access to the outside garden/terrace area. The first room on the left is called the brides suite which is more of a small meeting space, following this you have 2 similar sized rooms for about 100 people, and then the piece de la resistance the grand ballroom space which can hold approximately 300. If you have a larger than normal function, a tracked door can be removed between every room (save for the brides suite) and 3 rooms become one massive L-shaped hall. We utilized the entire space for out event and it really made for an impressive venue. Other perks with this venue, coat check, a totally secure building, and free underground parking (when your event is in the middle of the winter). The one drawback for people not practicing the Jewish faith is that the venue is 100% Kosher compliant, and because of that what you bring in is limited and restricted. With that said they have a full (actually 2) kitchen(s) that produce amazing, delicious food that you wouldn't know was kosher or otherwise. For a wedding, business summit or conference, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or other special occasion, this is THE newest and most elegant hall in York Region. Don't believe me? Come check it out for yourself - it WILL blow your mind!

I was fortunate to attend a Yelp Event here. The underground parking lot is really spacious which I prefer than parking at the ground level outdoor lot. Leo & Sala Goldhar also has it's own catering facilities as they provided most of the food and non alcoholic beverage for the event. Chocolate fountain was impressive! Thanks so much for a memorable evening!

Coffee Now is having their pop up shop at Kaleido to offer specialty coffee every weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm). Coffee Now is well-known for organizing specialty coffee events, workshops and training. They roast their own coffee beans and I have visited their pop-up shop in North York. Of course I am thrilled to know their pop up shop is closer in my neighborhood. During their soft-opening, I have tried their signature Koji Latte which is very interesting which bring out the "sake" like flavour yet without alcohol. I, of course, tried their pour over coffee. Owner, Day is a well trained barista to make very good pour over coffee. I could taste multi-layers of taste notes in different temperatures which is the beauty of specialty coffee. They also have collaboration with a local patisserie maker, Once Patisserie to offer some desserts to pair with the coffee. Purin, Japanese pudding which is hard to find in Toronto. Brûlée basque cheesecake tastes very light that fits Asian's taste bud. During their soft opening, the service was friendly although they may not have cover for their hot drink for take out, but I got my drink and food with reasonable wait time. I will definitely go back as it is very close to me. The space is very comfortable to spend time to enjoy coffee on my own or as a group.

The vibe inside is cozy and relaxed with a modern café-bistro feel. It's bright, welcoming, and definitely lives up to the name "Chillax." It feels like the kind of place you can sit and enjoy a slow brunch or a casual dinner without feeling rushed. For brunch, two dishes really stood out. The braised pork eggs Benedict was fantastic. The pork was tender and flavorful, and it paired perfectly with the creamy hollandaise and poached eggs. The gochujang fried chicken brioche burger was another highlight. The chicken was crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the soft brioche bun tied everything together. We also came back for dinner and tried the seafood paella, which was rich, comforting, and packed with seafood. It's definitely a great dish to share. For drinks, the cheesy mango ice matcha was surprisingly good. The mango adds sweetness while the cheese foam makes it creamy and indulgent. A really unique combination that works well. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, with most dishes around the $20-$30 range. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch, dinner, or just drinks. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!
