It caused us some inconvenience when they said they won't be able to unload and unpack same day. So we spent the night without any furniture, clothes, or anything for the kitchen. As it was all stored overnight in their truck. The crew of 6 were friendly, did their work and hustled. They were responsive to our needs and always polite. We appreciated that. However what didn't work well for us is that we lost a cabinet in the move that they dropped and it got damaged! Post the move we also spotted a few prominent damages to our furniture like a full chip off our brand new mango wood breakfast table, a rip near the leg of our living room loveseat. Chips off night stands. And skid marks near the door trimming and hardwood Floors. The prominent one was the sliding door new closet cabinet that we just cannot use because of the crack and breakage at the top and back entirely. They need to take better care with the move especially when the crew changes hands to finish the job. And if you're considering them make sure you double check and verify how long will it take and cost upfront. We were told one thing and what ended up happening was different.

The move was expensive, multiple pieces of furniture and other household items were damaged, and the crew left before the move was fully completed. The damage itself was frustrating, but the way the claim has been handled afterward has been just as disappointing. I submitted documentation and photographs of the damaged items, including significant damage to a Sleep Number bed and other furniture. Despite the Full Value Protection I purchased, the settlement amounts offered for several items appeared to have little relationship to the actual cost to repair or replace them. Their own moving contract states that under Full Value Protection, damaged property may be repaired, the repair cost paid, replaced with an item of like kind and quality, or reimbursed based on current replacement value. That is not how I feel my claim has been handled. After I disputed the settlement amount, I was also told I had only three days to accept the offer or it would be withdrawn. Considering the amount of damage, the protection I paid for, and the fact that I was still trying to understand my options, I found that deadline incredibly frustrating. I also raised the fact that I paid for a full-service move that was not fully completed, which is separate from the property damage itself. After months of trying to resolve this directly with the company, I have now filed formal complaints and contacted the North Carolina Utilities Commission regarding the move and claims process. Moving is stressful enough without spending months afterward fighting over damaged property and services you already paid for. I wish my experience had been different, but based on both the move itself and how the aftermath has been handled, I cannot recommend this company.

The man who runs the storage facility, Bill, was very professional, friendly, personable and was very helpful. I had called a few minutes before their closing time and Bill stayed on the phone and worked with me past their closing time to assist me in completing my order. The price was reasonable, very clean facility, well-lit after hours, clean bathroom for customers, and they had flatbed dollies in the halls for their customers to use. Bill also recommended to me their in-house moving company, Distinctive Moving and Storage, to move my belongings from the storage unit to my home garage. The move from the storage unit to my home garage was flawless. After dealing with a nightmare out of state move for months, it was a welcome change to work with Bill and not experience any issues whatsoever. Great example of top notch customer service. My bill for the storage unit I moved in for was $60/month and once Public Storage took over, it went up to about $100. i wanted to get a slightly larger unit (old one is 10x7 new one is 10x12) to house things temporarily while we moved and it was about $150, which I thought was a ~little~ expensive but went for it anyway for convenience since the old one is in the same building. The rent for just the newer unit is $200 dollars now, due to Public Storage steadily increasing rent rates, and I'm trying to get tf out of this place.

Items were covered with mouse droppings and cockroach droppings. We opened everything in the driveway of our new home because they were infested with roaches. We washed/sanitized the things that were washable before bringing them indoors but many items went straight into the builder's dumpster. When I closed my account, I went back to the unit and took photos of the wet floor and all the mouse/roach droppings. Totally disgusting.

When I explained to her the issues I was having in my unit with mold and dampness and that boxes were collapsing because of it, she told me that does not happen to cardboard boxes and she told me I was an ungrateful customer and she hung up on me. That lady needs an education! Do not use public storage! Even the local property manager does not call you back. It should be the property manager's job to check and be sure that the AC unit is working every single day for those they are collecting money on climate controlled rentals.
