They took two full days to make the move. They originally gave estimate for one day but we ended up paying more than estimate. It caused us some inconvenience when they said they won't be able to unload and unpack same day. So we spent the night without any furniture, clothes, or anything for the kitchen. As it was all stored overnight in their truck. The crew of 6 were friendly, did their work and hustled. They were responsive to our needs and always polite. We appreciated that. However what didn't work well for us is that we lost a cabinet in the move that they dropped and it got damaged! Post the move we also spotted a few prominent damages to our furniture like a full chip off our brand new mango wood breakfast table, a rip near the leg of our living room loveseat. Chips off night stands. And skid marks near the door trimming and hardwood Floors. The prominent one was the sliding door new closet cabinet that we just cannot use because of the crack and breakage at the top and back entirely. They need to take better care with the move especially when the crew changes hands to finish the job. And if you're considering them make sure you double check and verify how long will it take and cost upfront. We were told one thing and what ended up happening was different. read more

I hired All My Sons Moving because my son had used them and had a good experience. I had a much different one. Live & learn I guess. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews first. When I called and booked, I gave a description of what I had for furniture (2 beds, 2 tvs, couch, coffee table, 2 end tables, a small desk and boxes & bins. I was told that it sounded like It would be a couple hour move. The distance between locations is only three minutes. They arrived at my prior address at 8:30, and got started at 8:45. They did not finish unloading at the new address until 3:30. The two guys were nice enough, but I should have known from the minute they started, that there would be issues. One of the guys was complaining right off the bat about his job, his boss, etc. And would also just start conversations instead of loading up the truck. The other guy, had a bad back. So I can understand going a little slow, but how does that become my issue and having to pay more because they were going slow? They didn't seem to start picking up the pace Until I started to ask how much longer they were going to be. Another thing, one of them used the bathroom and didn't even flush. And a bigger issue, Was that I had a stepstool go missing. It was with all of the stuff to be loaded onto the truck, and it never made it to my new address. Which is really disappointing. I did end up tipping both of them, because it was hot, but honestly, I kind of regret that. The move cost me $1300. I will never recommend this company. I would not recommend All My Sons Moving & Storage based on my experience with their Raleigh location. I hired them for a full-service intrastate move and paid extra for Full Value Protection. The move was expensive, multiple pieces of furniture and other household items were damaged, and the crew left before the move was fully completed. The damage itself was frustrating, but the way the claim has been handled afterward has been just as disappointing. I submitted documentation and photographs of the damaged items, including significant damage to a Sleep Number bed and other furniture. Despite the Full Value Protection I purchased, the settlement amounts offered for several items appeared to have little relationship to the actual cost to repair or replace them. Their own moving contract states that under Full Value Protection, damaged property may be repaired, the repair cost paid, replaced with an item of like kind and quality, or reimbursed based on current replacement value. That is not how I feel my claim has been handled. After I disputed the settlement amount, I was also told I had only three days to accept the offer or it would be withdrawn. Considering the amount of damage, the protection I paid for, and the fact that I was still trying to understand my options, I found that deadline incredibly frustrating. I also raised the fact that I paid for a full-service move that was not fully completed, which is separate from the property damage itself. After months of trying to resolve this directly with the company, I have now filed formal complaints and contacted the North Carolina Utilities Commission regarding the move and claims process. Moving is stressful enough without spending months afterward fighting over damaged property and services you already paid for. I wish my experience had been different, but based on both the move itself and how the aftermath has been handled, I cannot recommend this company. read more

Do anything possible to avoid hiring this company. Wish I could give zero stars. Took over 13 hours to move our 1 bedroom apartment with 1 office to a different place in the same county. In the process, they damaged several of our valuable belongings. Didn't even bother to wrap an original painting, which was destroyed in the move. Also broke furniture and, rather than disclosing it, taped the leg back on with packing tape. Luckily we didn't try to place any weight on the broken furniture, which could have caused injury or further damage. Customer service was terrible throughout, and the service was overpriced. Hire a different company, do it yourself, or abandon the move entirely - anything to avoid hiring this company. read more

Very unhappy with this experience. Movers should either be fast or cheap. All my sons was slow and expensive. I had a two bedroom apartment to move 12 miles. The entire thing took almost 9 hours and cost close to $2500 (after I had to argue for a discount to unwrap the things myself). I was promised a fast move when I signed up for an third crew member. No one discussed budgetary constraints with me before this move or a not-to-exceed number. They charged $50 for a piece of cardboard on top of a table. Crew members were extremely slow and standing around for much of the move out until I asked them to finish by a certain time. I even loaded up two cars myself and moved the last load off the elevator alone. I went with All My Sons because I needed availability on short notice, but I regret this choice. read more

Well upon arriving one of the drivers asked me if I had air freshener because his other employee was "too smelly" and then they managed to destroy shelving unit and then crack my marble table down the middle. when we arrived at my new place one of the drivers became severely ill and projectile vomited down the hall all over the walls and floor. Nobody offered to clean so we had to. I'm cleaning it off the walls the new paint was ruined and they offered nothing. We We're offered 300 dollars for a completely ruined shelving unit and ruined marble table and not to mention the vomit and ruined paint. Awful customer service. read more

My friend used their service, long story short they gave him a quote of around 600 and he agreed, when they had everything in their truck they held my friends stuff hostage unless he paid almost double what the quote was. They mentioned nothing about such a price increase during any step of the process. Not when arriving, not when seeing the full scope of what would be moved, and not when loading the stuff. They were courteous and respectful of my space and covered everything with protective equipment so nothing was damaged. We had a quick move out and unload into our storage space with no issues at all. The value was good, since this was my second move the company gave me a nice incentive for a second move. I am mortified that I referred All My Sons moving and storage to my neighbor, a lady in her 70's, who needed help to finish boxing and moving her 3-bedroom home. They arrived and took 4 hours (and her $800) to move less than 1/4 of a 26-foot truck, then told her their time was done, and she'd need to pay another $400 to finish loading the truck. When she said that was more than she could afford, they wouldn't do any more for her. They also told her they'd charge her less for additional boxes if she gave them a good tip. When she asked me this morning to come see what they'd left behind, I was beyond angry. I called All My Sons, and after speaking with several people including in operations who were equally upset about this), being transferred (and hung up on), she and I were told that she was mis-quoted, and they would send a crew out to complete the job for an additional fee. Movers were slow and inefficient. At several points they were moving one box at a time. Or standing waiting for another mover to hand them a box. Was charged for overtime every though that was never discussed in any of our calls and despite giving them a detailed list of the things I own when I received the quote from them I had to get a uhaul to finish moving my furniture. I had a water emergency. All My Sons sent barbarians to a tea party. Priceless antique furnishings were manhandled and damaged; my lithographs thrown in the puddles on the floor; my vintage books tossed carelessly into a large box. They had to be told to wrap a live edge walnut table top as well as an antique brass headboard. One of the movers was more interested in looking through my VHS tape collection than packing them. They broke things, never said a word about it, and left a lot of items outdoors, before leaving with a half empty truck. As of now I have been told the contents are in their storage facility. So, I originally booked these guys without reading any reviews - they were just the first ones that popped up in my search and I really didn't have time to do any additional looking. However, the night before they were scheduled to come out, I started doing a bit of looking and stumbled on this page....hand to God, I literally had nightmares that night. Y'all scared me to death. Well, I don't know what happened in everyone else's case, but I can't say enough good things about my experience. Cori, Aung, and Sar were at my house exactly when they were expected and they could not have been friendlier or more professional. It was a long move with a ton of intensely heavy, large, and awkward stuff - let me tell you, they did an amazing job. I genuinely think they defied the laws of physics in getting some of the stuff up the stairs without leaving a single scratch or scuff on the walls. I don't know, maybe everyone else who works there is terrible - but I had a fantastic experience and I'd encourage you to ask for those three guys by name. Thanks again y'all! read more

DO NOT USE THEM. Not only do they sneak in payments, but they mistreat their crews, overprice, and go back on their word. I scheduled a move, paid the deposit to hold the date, paid for included packing of a few rooms, and was ready to go. The day before the move they showed up really late (not the crews fault, they were over booked) and finished maybe a 1/3 of the rooms. They said they would come back tomorrow, the day of the move, and finish. No problem. Note, I had also paid another $2k at this point as part of their % of the move requirement. Fine. Then they show up the next day, and say the manager told them that the 'paid for packing was only for what was done the previous day'. Absolutely criminal. The crew was cool and helped, but the manager was terrible. The manager then has the nerve to demand 80% of the remaining move balance before even LEAVING/ THE STATE. WHAT? So what's to get them to show up and keep my things intact? They then sent the same crew (only two for a whole house this time) about 500 miles away, and the two of them had to handle it alone. This company should be investigated. NEVER USE THEM. Crew was great, management was TRASH. read more

This review is for the All My Sons of South Raleigh LLC 3800 Centurion Drive, Ste. 109 Let me say all my problems were not all their fault, BUT They were 2 3/4 hrs late, I was told I did not schedule enough men for the move. So we agreed to add a packer, he was an hour late and did not pack he hung out with the others movers. It got to be 6:30 PM and they were all standing out by the truck with a lot of stuff not packed and still in place in my condo, so all my stuff did not get moved. We had to go to the new place My good suits were stuffed down in a box wrinkled to the max. The guys were very friendly. I was told the unused moving supplies (boxes etc.) would be credited and removed. Over 10 boxes, wrapping paper, plastic wrap, many rolls of tape were left behind . My original estimate was $1100. I knew it would rise with the addition of a man, but not to $2800. $1000 of which were supplies which I ended up throwing away. Like I said some of this was the estimate process which I bear some responsibility, but the tardiness and lack of job completion were not my responsibility read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I will start my review but stating they are getting one star because you can't leave negative stars. I was a little taken aback when the team showed up and asked that I fill out the review page before they even started working. That should have been my first sign of how things were going to progress throughtout the day. The packing of the truck went well though it took them almost 6 hours to complete that part of the move. When we arrived at the new house, I could feel the tension when they got out of the truck. I had snacks and drinks available for them and they sat down for almost 30 minutes. During that time, they informed me that their boss kept calling and they needed to hurry because they had another job starting soon. They got some of the furniture in the house but I noticed more and more were being left in the garage. Then I overheard them arguing that the time was up and the rest of the stuff on the truck needed to be "shoved" in the garage. NOT ONCE did they ask if I wanted to extend the time longer so they could finish the job. They just kept saying that they were working for free. As they were hurrying to get my stuff "shoved" in the garage, I kept witnessing one of them not caring about being careful with my stuff any longer and just throwing things around. When I called to talk to their manager, I was told he would give me a call on Monday b/c he was off on Sundays. By this time, we noticed that 1/2 of our couch was missing, over half of my glassware was broken and found other items missing. Monday morning came and went without a call from their manager, so I called them. I was told that they fulfilled our contract and they weren't liable for anything. At this point, I lost my temper!!! I was told that the crew never had another customer that night and the crew told the manager that we REFUSED to add more hours so they could finish the job. I explained that that was never an option given and if I would have known that, I would have definitely added on more time; that's why I hired a moving company to begin with!!!!!!!! The answer I got from Tim was that it's a "he said, she said" thing and there is nothing he can do but send me the paperwork to fill out for anything broken or missing. Not only am I still missing my items 3 weeks later (what good is 1/2 a couch) but my integrity was questioned. read more

The only time a manager spoke to me was to set up the appointment. I haven't heard from him since to see if I was happy with their service. The movers just cared about getting my stuff from point A to point B. They broke 2 things unloading the van through negligence. I'm afraid to open a lot of our boxes. I was finally offered a $200 settlement with a threat that that was as good as it was going to get. They took apart furniture, didn't put it back together. They didn't take all the furniture. They required payment before they would unload (unlawful in NC). The fact that I had to rent a U-Haul to get the remaining furniture, take time out of my schedule to haul it to the new place and get help moving the furniture, was way more than the $200 they offered. They have now ghosted me. So VERY disappointed that they can't follow the laws or be held accountable. I even reported them to the BBB, who helped initially, but have also stopped working with me. read more

Avoid this company. I booked an afternoon move, and was told movers would arrive between noon and 3pm. We were moving my mom from a 1 bedroom apartment to an older community. The only things to move were boxes and a mattress. When I booked this move I was very clear we were not allowed to move after 8pm (shouldn't be a problem with a noon-3pm move). At 3pm I contact the movers, again at 4pm. At 4:15pm I get a text says "movers didn't show? we are free for an emergency same day move." I call the company and they say moves are on their way. At 6:15pm (over 3hrs late!) the movers arrive. They then spend 15 minutes sorting out paperwork - the movers at my house were not the movers on the paperwork and the guys needed that correct (I get it, they want to get paid). Move doesn't start until after 6:30pm. Thankfully, the community my mom was moving into was very understanding and let the movers arrive after 8pm (otherwise I was told I would be charged for storing the truck with the boxes overnight by the company!!). Movers didn't finish until 10pm. My mom was unable to stay there that night. We were well past quiet/visiting hours of the facility, my mom was flustered, and we couldn't unpack anything. To add insult to injury, I had my card on file - the same card that paid the deposit. These movers knew I was paying. I had to leave briefly to grab my kids (they had a sitter that day for over 10hrs). During that time my mom was told there was no card on file, they couldn't continue without payment, and she paid them. We now have a dispute pending on her credit card since we were overcharged! Since this move, I've called the company twice a day to discuss this horrible service. No one will call me back. I've been left on hold for over 45 minutes each time (have screenshots as proof). I've taken screen shots of the "emergency move texts" I received before these guys showed up (is this a secondary scam they are running??). The community my mom moved to is considering putting them on the no-access list for future moves. AVOID. read more

1 star is generous. We paid extra for 3 movers to move a 3 bedroom house. We had everything packed in boxes, and all of them were stacked in the garage. The only things in the house were pieces of furniture. It took the movers almost 5 hours because they spent most of the time doing everything together as a party of 3 chit chatting. Sometimes 1 would sit and watch the other 2 do things. Once my husband started moving things on to the truck is when they actually started working smarter. There was a different crew that delivered it two days later. Damaged furniture. My son's $1k crib is covered in scratches and dings. Damaged walls. Scratches in brand new floors. We had asked them to assemble our bed and the screws were all loose, so my husband had to basically assemble it after anyway. A $2k job for damaged furniture, damage done to our brand new house, and a terrible experience. I'm sure I could have found much cheaper movers who would have done a more thoughtful job. read more

The men who did our move were fabulous..hardworking, courteous, careful, wasted no time. HOWEVER, pricing was NOT transparent. We moved 3 miles and were not informed that we would be charged $159 on top of hourly rate. Also, we were charged for all sorts of packing materials. I must say things were over wrapped. $80 to box 1 TV! And 3% charge for credit card use. Would they have really allowed the driver to receive cash payment? Happy with my moving guys and tipped them accordingly...NOT happy with AllMySons as a company. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY! This company is horrible. I paid a deposit for a move to be done on today (3/28/25) I was given a time frame of 12-4pm. I called the office earlier to confirm my slot and if someone would reach out to me before showing up, it was 2:45pm and I called again because no movers had contacted me I was told the movers are still on their first job and it's taking longer than expected. I called a 3rd time stating I had other things to do today and if you give a time frame to a customer you should honor it. I should not have to rearrange my schedule. I spoke with 2 people John and Spencer both very rude and didn't have any care at all. I spoke to Spencer through the customer care line and he stated I would be refunded and the service would be cancelled. He tried to blame this on someone in Texas stating they made a mistake. Not only did I not receive service by the time frame they gave me. I drove to the office after speaking with Spencer and I stated I needed proof of refund he sat in his office and pre typed a letter like it was an email to me. This is the worst moving company I have ever experienced and for the price it should be organized more. They have no respect for customers inside the office it is your job to satisfy the customer. This whole process has inconvenienced me I had to pay for new movers. Spencer lied in my face as if he didn't talk to me on the phone. Spencer refused to refund my deposit after he told me he would. John was very dismissive and didn't care if I was being inconvenienced. I should not have to cancel my entire day when a time frame of 12-4 was given, and I have a job that I work! This is, without a doubt, the worst service you could possibly hire. Look for another option--or better yet, rent a truck and move with help from family and friends. These movers charge by the hour and only sent two people, which resulted in the move taking 10 hours--and I'm not exaggerating. Ten hours to complete a move just 20 minutes away, even though we had everything fully disassembled, packed, and ready to go. On top of that, the truck took nearly two hours to arrive at the new location, with no explanation provided. We had to call their central office to locate them, and that delay was never deducted from the final bill. Because there were only two workers, they struggled with the furniture, dropped items, broke dishes and glasses, and even damaged the hardwood floor. They do not take responsibility for any damages, so you have no guarantee of a job well done. If you still choose to hire them, be prepared to hand over $2,000 in cash. I hired All My Sons to move me, the only thing they had to move were 6 pieces of furniture. I wrote on a google review that they were efficient and polite, and they were....i did get moved. What I want to add is they were careless. I stood on my balcony as they were loading stuff and watched a box that was used to carry things down in, should never have been used. They were in a hurry and didn't care. They packed this box with furniture and a floor to ceiling mirror on the side. when the lifted out a piece of furniture the box tipped over and the mirror broke. We're sorry, they didn't,t mean it!!!!! The secon thing that went wrong. was an Aimes Chair I had. When it left my apartment it was in one piece when it came back it wasn't,t. I was wondering why they never took the plastic wrap offf. I found out when I did, the entire back of the chair fell off. They had to really drop that for it to come apart. They quoted me a price and gave me the wrong price b/c someone wasn't paying attention. This company claims to be movers for the people, but they're far from it.
