I bought my first bike and jet ski there many years ago. Loved the owner and his wife. So sorry it closed down.

Update: After speaking to Eric at Lonestar Powersports, I have agreed to change the rating…read moreslightly. To the credit of everyone there including Eric, they worked hard to find me the boat and options I wanted and help narrow down everthing I wanted in a model I could be happy with. However, I spent nearly 2 weeks working on a deal for a Seadoo boat and tried to get them down about $3000 on the price. They only came down $1500 after I began speaking to a different dealership. When I said I was going to use my own bank, the Finance guy tried guilting me by talking about how he spent a day trying to save me .25% in interest ($11.11 per month on the payment). He tried selling me $7000 worth of addon packages. His tone was condescending and disrespectful. He told me the service package was good with LoneStar Powersports, but if I paid more I could get the package to get service with other dealers. The dealership I ended up buying from not only charged much less, but also verified the dealerships near me (I'm in a different state from Lonestar Powersports and the other dealership I purchased from) would honor the service package. I appreciate the callback from Eric after my initial review, however, the call ended abruptly (I got hung up on) as I was trying to offer my personal opinion on how they could have made the conversations work better for me.

I went in for a specific Seadoo they had online. went and the salesman told me it was sold and got…read moreme to look at a different machine altogether. while doing a deal sheet on the other ski, the one I wanted was rolled out! They had it, just too lazy to look. I was lied to from the beginning to the end! I was even told by the service dept that it was full of gas but the gauge on the new ones takes a bit to register!! Got on the water and ran out of gas in 5 minutes! I've bought from Kent's Harley Davidson, crown powersports, a Kawasaki dealership in grapevine and freedom power spots in Hudson Oakes and never been lied to and treated so terribly. I would never recommend anyone go there

I live in Colorado Out the Clovis, NM…read more Was wanting to purchase a utv offered through atvtrader.com, a NATIONAL LISTING SITE Contacted initial about shipping. Got a response offering uship.com or depending on how far they could. Called and got info about unit, timely response and pictures again. At this time also sent pictures of both my wife's and myself DL so they had that info. Now the fun part, Ok I'm going to purchase on 2 credit cards, "No we don't except credit payments that large." Went on to explain being burned and blah blah, I get it and respect it. Could you help us get financed for it, "We don't finance for Colorado or Oklahoma because titling is confusing, about to add Arizona. It's just to much of a headache to do it." Ok getting confused but again accepted it. Talked with spouse came up with ONLY OPTION THAT COULD POSSIBLY WORK FOR US, we will wire 2/3 funds and then the rest on credit card. I called back 30 mins before they closed. "Hey I was just about to call you, my boss said he still wouldn't do it because you're in Colorado." What???? Didn't get upset with guy on phone because he genuinely seemed like he wanted to help sell the item. WHAT SORT OF BUSINESS ADVERTISES SOMETHING ON A NATIONAL LISTING, THEN WITH NOTHING STATED ON THE LISTING, ON THEIR WEBSITE, OR ANYWHERE THAT YOU DON'T TAKE CERTAIN PAYMENTS OR WANT TO FINANCE CERTAIN STATES.

Don't waste your time or money if you need anything done outside the realm of "factory reset to OEM…read morespec". Because apparently, that is well beyond their skill set. And I can't directly say they broke my transmission (as I didn't see them do it), I can only say that the transmission worked when I bought this bike, and it was working fine when I removed it from the trailer as I had to shift it from 1st to neutral. And it wasn't anything I even asked them to look at. But when I picked it up (after nothing being fixed) it has suddenly broke. My best guess, and that of the internet, and friends of mine that run a dry clutch setup is someone there wanted to take my bike out for a little spin. And unfortunately, that person was not familiar with the operation of a dry clutch. Mainly how they are either engaged or not engaged. There is no slowly letting out on the clutch and it begins to engage. It's either there or it's not. And if theres too much throttle when it does engage, you can (and sometimes will) break a transmission. As I said before, I can't prove that that's what happened, all I know is it worked before I dropped it off, and now it's hard broke. Maybe while they were looking for the fuel leak I asked them to track down, the transmission decided to break all by itself, with no outside intervention. And the fact they had my bike for 14 days, fixed nothing, and when I showed up, they had all the diagnostics completed. I'm not saying they are blatantly shady, but they certainly give the impression doing shady things. Especially in their work practices. The service rep tried to explain things to me twice but the service manager couldn't be bothered to resolve anything. The only part of this process that went flawlessly, was them taking my money. I await the service manager (or whomever) to reply to this review, as they do. Nothing I started is fabricated or exaggerated. It's all facts, and to attempt to discredit this experience as somehow my fault would be to call me a liar. The right thing to do would be to refund the ridiculous diagnostic fee since the problem your technicians "discovered" was created while in your custody. And to also pay the cost of having it repaired (as I stated earlier, IT WORKED PERFECTLY BEFORE YOUR TEAM TOUCHED IT). Although the likelihood of someone stepping forward and admitting the wrongdoing would probably not happen in this lifetime. It's sad integrity isn't a virtue most people possess anymore. If you were in the business of doing the right thing, you wouldn't have giving me back my motorcycle more broken than when I dropped it off. I eagerly await your reply so I can then dispute that as well. Regards, DJ
