This is our second time to Pediatric Associates in Weston. We usually visit the Pembroke Pines or…read moreMiramar location. The entire Weston team is wonderful from the minute you walk in for check in and registration until you walk out with the check out process. I did not get the names of the fabulous ladies at the front desk earlier this week on Mon 7/6 or today 7/9. But check the schedule and give them props where praise is due. We were at Weston earlier this week so my other two kids could be checked by the pediatrician to get a referral for an allergist also. We saw Dr. Julian Lacey and he was wonderful, very attentive and friendly to the kids and they felt pretty comfortable with him. He took his time to check what kind of allergies were bothering the kids and tried to pinpoint everything before their visit with the allergist. Today we had an appointment for my oldest to see the allergist and get a skin test. Our medical assistant was Dayanis. She was absolutely wonderful and very down to earth and relatable. My 16-year old daughter took a liking to her right away because of her humor. I felt the same way and I'm usually always paying attention to small things, because it's always about the small things. I liked Dayanis immediately too. She helped check my daughter in and after the allergist saw her, she came back to do the skin test. She was great chatting it up with us and just keeping things light and fun. So thank you for that Dayanis. Dr. Janelle Sher was the allergist and she was great from the start as well. Dr. Sher introduced herself, then asked several questions to understand about my daughter's allergies and how we can address the issues at hand. She was patient and kind. After talking to my daughter, Dr. Sher suspected she may be allergic to raw fruits and veggies, however, she can eat cooked veggies. This is associated with OAS or Oral Allergy Syndrome. Didn't event know this was a thing. And I've had allergies my whole life. I just learned something new today!!! Fascinating. "Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS), also called pollen-food syndrome, is an allergic reaction caused by cross-reactivity between airborne pollens and proteins in certain fresh fruits, raw vegetables, and nuts. It most frequently causes rapid, mild itching or swelling of the lips, tongue, and throat." Once we discussed everything, the allergist wanted to get a skin test done. Dayanis explained the process, marked her back and then started pricking the skin on her back with possible allergens to see what type of reaction she gets. It's actually pretty cool. Waited 15 min for reaction and you can really see if each spot had any reaction by how red or raised it was. So crazy cool. Turns out she is allergic to dust, pollen, certain trees, cats & dogs. Wonderful experience all in all. Thank you to the Weston team. We may need to start coming to this location from now on. Appreciate the staff's patience, attentiveness and support to create a good experience for our kids!

They ordered blood tests for my daughter and wanted to perform them right there at all costs. They gave me a million excuses because I had the tests done at Quest instead. Dr. Martinez is not only incredibly smart and knowledgeable, but he is also genuinely caring and simply wonderful with children. His gentle demeanor, attentive nature, and deep compassion made every visit feel like we were in the best possible hands. Leaving Weston was one of the hardest decisions for me, and a big reason for that was knowing we would no longer have Dr. Martinez as our doctor. Now living in Orlando with my four kids--Freddy, Nico, Gaby, and Ian--I still haven't found a pediatrician who comes close to the level of care and connection that Dr. Martinez provided. He is truly one of a kind, and I remain deeply grateful for the time we had with him. Thank you, Dr. Martinez, for taking such excellent care of my children. We were lucky to have you, and anyone who has you now as their pediatrician is truly blessed. With heartfelt thanks, A grateful mom

Here to express my deep disappointment with the ongoing care my child has received at your office…read more Unfortunately, I have experienced several concerning issues that I can no longer ignore. Dr. Suarez has demonstrated poor bedside manner, and both the doctor and the nurse practitioner have appeared distracted and disengaged during multiple visits, more judgmental This has not been a one-time occurrence it has happened often enough that I feel the quality of care is unacceptable. When I call to provide updates, I am often told the doctor is unavailable, and important information I provide is not communicated to the physician. This has created confusion and gives the impression that I, as a parent, am not following through which is simply not true. It's also concerning that the doctor is frequently unavailable or on vacation, contributing to a pattern of inconsistent care. Today was the final straw. I brought my 10 year old daughter in for a physical, to discuss updates on her medication, and to have an evaluation form completed so we could move forward with her care. At no point did I request a medication refill. However, I received a call afterward where the doctor was condescending, dismissive, and twisted the purpose of the appointment entirely. The nurse practitioner also misrepresented the visit in a way that made me feel unheard and mischaracterized. The communication from this office and in between the dr and nurse has been poor, and I no longer feel confident that my child's health needs are being met in a respectful, professional manner. As a parent, it is upsetting to feel ignored, cut off, or misrepresented especially when I am trying to advocate for my child.

I cannot take it anymore with the downright outrageous mistreatment of clients from your front of house staff. What really done it for me was the following phone call I had to dolphin FIVE weeks ago. Last month I had two very sick kids. They had no time to see them both within the same appointment nor could they actually see the two sick appointments in one day. Difficult in itself to not be able to see two children from a family at once, but okay. I've tackled that in the past. But on this occasion I was extremely worried for their health and told them I would have to go elsewhere to seek immediate treatment. I asked Victoria for my medical records so that if another doctor asked any medical records I could answer them. Only to be met with extreme hostility and mindblowing rudeness. She believed I was leaving their practice, which at the time was not my intent. I was told and I quote "well that's going to take a few days, and it's our paper and our ink so you're going to have to pay for that". (Fast forward still no records have been provided) Naturally, it went from wanting to seek care once since they couldn't see me, to never again. There is a bald gentlemen who has never ever once been kind. You are made to feel a complete bother to them all. It's been over a month, I have called and asked to speak to multiple people including Aliki and Dr Suarez to be told "well let's see if they call you back". I find it really hard to believe those two ladies wouldn't care enough to call. But perhaps I am wrong. I am from a small town in a small country and always loved that they knew my kids and were warm women. All I want is my child's records to move on from feeling so downright awful. So if anyone would like to give me a call before I seek legal counsel please do so ASAP. Niamh Zocco
