They came out the last full week of January... I've been meaning to write a review but I ended up having an unexpected arrival on the 28th of January. Our baby boy arrived almost 2.5 weeks early. So needless to say I've been pretty busy. They spent probably 2.5-3 hours cleaning most of the house. I wanted it clean since I was towards the end of my pregnancy and wanted to treat myself. I work from home so it worked out nicely that I was able to work in the room they didn't clean. The bathrooms were sparkling which was really the main thing I wanted clean. Honestly, I don't think we keep our house dirty by any means but it was still nice to have someone make it sparkle. Kara led the cleaning crew... she was super sweet and what a great person to work with. Honestly, I don't have anything but great things to say about Maids 4 U... all the beds were made (they even offered to change the sheets for us). They cleaned the floors with water and vinegar so nothing harsh. It really was super great service. Honestly I would want monthly service... but I do think it's about pricey considering the entire house wasn't cleaned only 3 rooms and 2.5 baths, when I have 5 rooms 3.5 baths. In fact, they are doing our final clean out and I am not in VA, it is probably better, I would cry if I was. I can honestly say that they are the "Gold Standard" that everyone should compare their service to; from the thoroughness of the staff, to the professionalism of the owner, there is just no substituting for perfection in the area. I get ill, a LOT, and am also disabled. Having a clean home is essential to keep me healthy, and to make sure I don't fall. These folks truly are an inspiration to the service industry as a whole. Not everyone is cut out for this kind of job, that is just a fact, however I cannot say that I had a bad experience that would lead me to ever give them a terrible review on here over the three years I was a client. I have grown close to the staff and owner over time, if I ever had a problem, I would not hesitate to call and talk directly to Danielle; she is understanding, approachable and most of all professional. I honestly cannot go through the entire list of names of people that cleaned our house, I was comfortable with everyone that was sent over. All of the employees were terrific, and friendly to both my husband and me, and our 2 dogs, who were VERY interested in everything they were doing. I messaged on Saturday via Yelp and after a first automated response was still awaiting feedback by…read moremidweek, and I already had quotes from two other businesses by that point. When I did finally receive a response, they told me to reach out directly via their website which puts into question the status of the Yelp Guarantee for going through the Projects process. This seemed to indicate to me that the text in their automated response on Yelp Projects has not been properly updated to reflect how they want potential clients to request estimates. I can appreciate they have a lot going on but if this is how they treat you when they are actively courting your business, I find it difficult to believe they would be much better once they have already secured it. FOLLOW-UP PURSUANT TO BUSINESS RESPONSE: I appreciate the nuances of the Yelp Guarantee may be open to interpretation in terms of when it applies. That said, if the business chooses to be included in Yelp Projects, they should be willing to handle requests therein or at least set up a consultation through it, otherwise the Yelp Projects $2500 guarantee may be in jeopardy. The additional response from them indicates that only a quote is required to seal the deal so to speak, but I did not receive that at the time I was asked to reach out via their website, so it is entirely possibly they would have applied this later and be within the terms of the Yelp Guarantee. I have no way to know if that would have been followed since I did not pursue further contact with them after that point, though I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they would have made good on the guarantee through the process or through their business insurance if a work quality issue has transpired. When I initially made the request I had a two week span of availability for the actual cleaning to be done (though I mentioned ideally this would be to action the following week), and only because Juliana's took 3 business days to get back to me to tell me I should reach out directly did it appear to be an "expedited request". I am glad they have so much business that they can afford responses like this and be unavailable for service but if this were the case then that would have been a benefit to know from the outset so that I could have ruled them out as a candidate immediately. Considering most folks don't have more than a few weeks between closing on a house and moving in, and I personally reached out to them a day after my closing, I do not see any path I could have taken to reach out to them sooner. Juliana's notes in their added response that I did not actually enlist their services, which is true, though Yelp policy is that a review may take place so long as there was a consumer interaction/experience, which there was in this case.
