My co-workers once gave me a nice gift certificate for a group gift at a baby shower... and I just kept coming in because it was my monthly "ME TIME". Over the years, the value I got from these massages just keeps decreasing. I used to have a few favorite massage therapists, but now there's only one therapist that gives good (not great) massages. A long time ago, there were one or two therapists that I considered to be almost as good as "luxury spa" therapists, but this hasn't been true in the last 5 years (not even close). I have enjoyed the ability to make appointments up to 6 months in advance. That works very well for me, so I just call to make appointments every 3 months or so. If something came last minute , I only have to give 24+ hrs notice. They've only had to cancel on me 3 times during the past 12 years, so I'm not sure this happens as much as what the other reviews might make you think. The building is nice and the treatment rooms are always clean and comfortable. I've tried two facials here, but was disappointed in both. I've also tried a few of their massage upgrades like hot stone or stretching, but I don't think it's worth the extra $$. If you need an easy system for monthly massages, or if you often travel domestically and want massages in different states/cities, this may work well for you. If you're looking for a luxury spa type of massage, this place will not meet your needs.

While the turnover rate at these places is fairly high, Phoenix has consistently maintained higher quality of masseuses. Today, I received the best massage yet from a masseuse I've never had before, Myrie. I called ahead to be sure they had an opening today and asked for a 90-minute massage. When I arrived, Myrie greeted me at the front desk and showed me to the room. Her massage style is very Asian but I could tell after a couple of minutes she really had mastered her work. I asked for harder pressure and she started with medium hard and worked her way into a harder pressure where needed. She worked my muscles both in isolation and in sets. Her efficient detailed technique allowed her to be effective within the time constraints. Bonus: my sinuses cleared when she worked on my face, hitting trigger points perfectly and I could again breathe. I highly recommend Myrie when you are healing from a sports injury or looking to get your muscles ready for that Yoga class.

We talked for a few minutes and then she escorted me to the room. The room was a nice dim room with religious and calming paraphernalia around. Seemed a little strange to me, but it was serene at the same time. The table was fantastic. It has a heated fleece top to it which she of course puts a sheet over. I could have slept in there all afternoon. The massage was very thorough and she hit all my knots. I wanted to cry a few times, but the knots in my shoulders are so terrible that I wanted a deep massage. She definitely went deep. The massage was at least 60 mins where other places cut it to 50.
