I received a fantastic massage here and was able to easily and effortlessly book a last-minute appointment online. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the odd layout of the lobby. The check-in area is located in a small lobby in the basement of a building. There is no relaxing or spa-like area to wait before your treatment. You sit in a fairly loud, commercial area and when your masseuse is ready, he or she takes you back to a private massage room. I had no idea there was a massage place on Grand Avenue. My mom gave me a gift certificate for a massage and a cold, blustery day seemed like the right time to cash it in. Making the reservation online was simple and straight forward. Nichole, my massage therapist was ready for me when I arrived and asked lots of questions to understand what I wanted. I did feel like she perhaps had not read the information I was required to provide to book the massage. However her questions did allow her to get a good picture of what I wanted. Nichole provided a competent massage and I was fully relaxed by the end of it. A few pointers for whoever runs their website. The parking available adjacent on street and in the small lot is all limited to 1 hour. Since you offer services that last up to one and a half hours, it would make sense to provide a parking map so your clients are aware of this. Also when I went to pay, I had a coupon plus the gift certificate I had been given. I was told no I could not use both. When I questioned this, the manager suggested I should use the 10% discount coupon and save my $100 gift certificate. I pushed and was told they have this policy because people sometimes buy the gift certificates at a discount. I had a copy of the receipt that proved my mom had paid full price, so the manager agreed to call the owner. The owner initially offered to give me the 10% off the difference between the price of the massage and the gift certificate. I stood firm and ultimately was given the discount as described in the coupon so that the discount was taken off the full service, then the gift certificate was applied and then I paid the difference. If this is truly your policy it should be clearly stated on gift certificates and on your reservation site. Finally, no one asked me if I wanted to book a future appointment. You might have been able to make an additional sale if you had. read more

I took my parents here for their Christmas gift. I work in the military so I love getting massages whenever I can. My parents work extremely hard and have never been to a massage parlor before. I paid for an hour each and did a couples massage so they would feel more Comfortable together. The staff made it extremely easy to arrange that and the atmosphere was super professional and friendly. They guided from beginning till end. As I waited for my parent, I read my book and there was treats and water for my wait. My parent enjoyed the massage so much and they couldn't stop talking about it from leaving the place until we got home. I went to Hush to get a prenatal massage that was gifted to me by my spouse. The facilities were clean and soothing and I felt at ease. Cynthia was my therapist and she asked if I had any specific concerns. I told her I was having some lower back pain due to pregnancy and she said she could work on it. Although she did do a good job working on my lower back, she did not once touch or massage any other part of my body. This could have been my miscommunication, but I have never before received a massage where they completely neglect your neck, shoulders, arms, and legs. I've gotten plenty of massages before, but never prenatal so it is possible massaging only the back could be a part of the prenatal technique. I kept waiting for her to move to different parts of my body but it never happened. I also paid for a 60 minute massage. I arrived promptly at 10, my appointment time. By the time we had our brief consultation, I had gotten undressed, and she had come to complete my massage it was 10:15. My massage promptly ended at 11:00. I was a little disappointed because I had only gotten 45 minutes out of the 60 for which I paid. I would suggest Hush factor that extra transition time into their schedules. I hate leaving a poor review because Cynthia was kind and I did feel relaxed and my back pain felt better after my services, but I just don't think I received the treatment I would expect. read more

I received two massages from here. The first one was amazing but the second one hurt me. It felt amazing but i left in so much pain and my pain was so bad i called. They had me come in and redid my massage and she did her best to help me but it became worse. I can't even lay on my back, it hurts to walk, i can't stand normal, and/or move my shoulders. I am not blaming the lady who did it at all but i have received massages for a majority of my life and this has never happened. I am in so much pain i could cry because i can't move or do anything. My back is extremely inflamed and she couldn't get the knots that developed in my back overnight. Again, she did her best but this is pain that makes my whole back feel bruised and i can't even touch it. I want to go back and just get a light rub by someone else and get their opinion. She asks great questions. I get the feeling she's really looking to get it right and not just go through a regular routine, which sometimes it feels like massages are that way. My first impression was very professional, yet warm and welcoming. It only got better from there. Mindy made sure I was comfortable from beginning to end!
