I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dentists. As a result, I had gone for a long period of time without dental care. I went to Care Dental because I knew I needed more than just a quick cleaning. Dr. Rai and his staff were so understanding, and treated my anxiety like a normal part of their day. I had to have a deep cleaning (going below the gum line to scrape off tartar), so I knew I would need sedation. They applied nitrous oxide, talked me through every step, kept telling me what they were doing, and gave me a break when I needed one. I'll go back in six months because preventing a problem is easier than fixing it, but I won't be so fearful the next time because the whole office is caring and sympathetic to folks with unreasonable fears. I walked out of his office and would not let him touch my teeth! As a cash pay patient, I was excited to find a resonably priced dentist because I had been having teeth pain and had at least one cavity. (I could easily see the cavity as could my husband.) When I arrived, I was happy to see a decent kids area and tv with Netflix on. The office staff were friendly and helpful. After my xrays were completed, Dr Gupta was very rigid and not relaxing at all (maybe he was having a rough morning). His response was, "I don't know what is causing your tooth pain. Try a sensitivity toothpaste." He also missed a cavity until I pointed it out to him. He then said that he could patch over it and admitted that he missed it during his exam. We needed emergency dental care for my husband. Care Dental was understanding, attentive and ready to help in his time of agony. The staff was kind, direct and even light hearted to help us receive new care. You see we are new to being n Texas again and becoming familiar with our new place we call home. They did not let us down to see and feel the love of Texas. The care was wonderful and the cost just unbelievably affordable. THEN when we said thank you and goodbye, they handed us a beautiful backpack with several goodies including a Quip toothbrush and toothpaste which I've always wanted. This is not cheap stuff but instead dental care items that truly help us care for our teeth and guns. WOW I was really surprised. Really because I am an advocate for the homeless and poor in another state and never would we receive quality care like this for us and definitely not for those in dire need. Let me start off by saying that I don't like going to the dentist. I am terrified of needles, but Dr. Gupta and his staff were all understanding of my fears and helped me to feel more at ease. When it came time for "the neddle" I did not feel a thing! I was surprised that it was over with before I knew it. I had a horrible toothache, Dr. Gupta was very sympathetic to my pain and took care of the offending tooth right away. The staff was so nice and professional. They all made me feel comfortable and confident about the procedure I would highly recommend Care Dental. Dr. Gupta and his Staff will go out of their way, especially for those of us that have fears about seeing the dentist, to make sure that your experience is a happy one.
