Trigger Warning: Miscarriage I am writing this with a heavy heart, because no one should have to feel as helpless and abandoned as I did during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I sought IVF treatment through CARE Fertility and, at first, everything seemed to go well. I had a successful embryo transfer and remained under their care until 9 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy. During that time, I experienced no complications. Then I was told I had "graduated" from their program and was instructed to follow up with an OB doctor. I scheduled an OB appointment, but like many offices, the earliest available visit was three weeks out. I trusted that this gap would be okay, especially since I had been stable up to that point. But eight days before my OB appointment, everything changed. I suddenly began experiencing severe vaginal bleeding and cramping. Terrified, I went to the ER, where I was evaluated and discharged with instructions to follow up with an OB within two days. I immediately tried to get an earlier appointment, but the OB office could not accommodate me. Feeling scared and desperate, I reached out to Dr. Thomas at CARE Fertility--my IVF doctor--explaining everything in detail. I made it very clear that I already had an OB appointment scheduled, but it was still over a week away, and now I was having complications. I simply asked if they could evaluate me in the meantime. The response I received was devastating. I was told they could not see me because I had "graduated" from their program. I again explained my situation--that I had nowhere else to go right now and was actively experiencing complications--but the answer remained the same: no. I cannot fully describe the feeling of being turned away like that. After everything--after trusting them with something so deeply important--I was left completely on my own when I needed care the most. With no other options, I returned to the ER two days later as my symptoms worsened. Again, I was told to follow up with an OB. I explained that my appointment was still days away and that my fertility doctor refused to see me despite knowing what I was going through. It didn't change anything. One day before I was finally supposed to see the OB, I miscarried. When it happened, I called CARE Fertility to inform them. Even then, I was met with the same response: I needed to see my OB because I had already "graduated" from their program. With nowhere else to turn, I ended up back in the ER for the third time in one week, where the miscarriage was confirmed. This experience broke me. The lack of compassion, the rigid refusal to help, and the feeling that I was no longer their responsibility once I "graduated" left me feeling abandoned and deeply hurt. I am sharing this as a warning to others. If you choose to seek IVF care through this practice, please make sure you have an OB appointment scheduled immediately--ideally for the very next day after you are discharged from their program. Because if something goes wrong before that appointment, you may find yourself, like I did, with no one willing to help you. No patient should ever feel this alone. read more

I'm now pregnant after my first embryo transfer, no invasive surgery, no reproductive issues, but only because I left Care Fertility and went to the Center for Reproductive Endocrinology, thanks to Dr. Saleh. Changing clinics was the best decision I could have made. At Care Fertility, I was diagnosed with failed implantation and chronic endometritis, without any clear explanation of how they reached that conclusion. No one ever explained their reasoning to me directly. Instead, I was told I needed a hysteroscopy with endometrial biopsy to "ensure the anatomical health" of my uterus. This felt misleading and confusing. How can someone be diagnosed with chronic endometritis without proper testing? And how can I be told I had failed implantation when I had never even underwent an embryo transfer? When I moved to my new clinic, they thoroughly reviewed my records and confirmed that I didn't have any of the issues Care Fertility had diagnosed. That original diagnosis was simply wrong. It left me wondering if Care Fertility had already decided my cycle would fail, and were preparing a false diagnosis to blame it on me instead of their protocol. It felt like they were setting the stage to shift responsibility if things didn't work out. It felt like they were preparing for the possibility of doing something wrong. That possibility is not only disturbing. it's infuriating. I was also told on two separate occasions, that I had two 4AA embryos. But when I requested the official embryo grading, the records showed one 4AA and one 3BA. I had specifically mentioned the embryo grades they gave me in both email and phone conversations, and no one ever corrected me. It was only when I called out the discrepancy that they finally said, "The embryologist must have misspoken." That kind of careless communication is unacceptable, especially when patients are making emotional, medical, and financial decisions based on that information. They also require you to sign an arbitration agreement before becoming a patient. That felt suspicious to me, like they were more focused on protecting themselves than being accountable to patients. It felt like they were preparing for the possibility of doing something wrong. Patients trust clinics like this with their bodies, their futures, and their embryos. I left Care Fertility feeling that transparency was lacking--and that critical information was often shared only verbally, without documentation. That made me uncomfortable. It also made me wonder how many other patients might be receiving inaccurate or incomplete information. If you're having doubts about this clinic, trust your instincts and watch for red flags. Save your emails. Ask for everything in writing. You deserve a clinic that's honest, ethical, and puts your health first. (UPDATE) Dr. Kathy was the only one who diagnosed me with chronic endometritis. Also failed implantation even before the embryo transfer. Before I came to your clinic all my test results were normal even the lab results from your clinic were normal. Also if I do have such nonsensical diagnoses, my other clinic did not recommended those unnessecary procedure and I had a successful embryo transfer on the first try. Don't gaslight me and say it's from my primary physicians. They recommended no such thing. Your responses are defensive lies. I would advise anyone to avoid them at all costs. Read other reviews. Review based on my experience with CARE from Dec '17 - Aug '18 After an array of tests, I qualified for their "effortless IVF," which involved the use of INVOcell. Luckily, this was less costly than traditional IVF, but still required much of the same medication regime. While going through the medication schedule in their pseudo-private advising area, I asked for clarification of dates and drugs (see photo of calendar). The nurse/assistant going over it said impatiently, "It's not that hard," which silenced me (until now). We get that you guys do this multiple times a day and you get paid to tell people to "Start this med x days before this one, then stop that one before beginning this injection..." However, this may very well be a once-in-a-lifetime procedure for women unfortunate enough to need it but just fortunate enough to afford it. When it was time to go "egg hunting," I got the best care from here. The two areas, the consultation to the left of the entrance and the lab to the right, were worlds apart in terms of professionalism. Doctors Doody came off as business-oriented in their offices while the people I met in the labs were much more medically minded with better bedside manner. Three beautiful 5-day blastocysts came of the "effortless" process. Each time I went to get them transferred, I tried engaging with the nurse/assistant helping Dr. Doody. "Ok," I would exhale, "Let's hope it takes!" and each time I was met with a curiously tight smile that I read as, "Fat chance, lady." And none of them took. We embarked on this new and exciting journey in maybe March. We had heard great feedback from friends so we came in expecting the same stellar service our friends talked about and we were very disappointed. For us, this was such an important and step in starting our family and from the get go we got let down with the communication, service, just overall attitude of Dr. doody himself. Not sure if it's because our friends were white and we were an interracial couple but it's hard not to think that when every step of the way we had to call in and ask for things that our friends got. We didn't get informational packages, we didn't get scheduled in a timely manner, we weren't getting called back. The whole experience wasn't great and it's sucks because we were excited to get started and started to second guess on if we should just go somewhere else but after investing as much money as we did we didn't feel like it would be financially smart to stop. But for us to be so excited about it to getting what we got we eventually broke down and cried about how hard it's been. Don't think I'd recommend this place for any of our friend after what we went through. read more

I can't praise this place enough. After a bad experience at a previous clinic, CARE was exactly what we needed. They are kind, professional, and just FANTASTIC at what they do. It was worth the long drive for us and every penny to go here. Dr Kevin Doody is incredible! And the staff is just so on top of everything. Zero stars. I can't even begin to discuss the heartache and disappointment I went through with this clinic and Dr. Kevin Doody. They implant embryos they know are not viable only to benefit their pockets. How do I know this? The autopsy of my son said it all. I was in my third trimester and had a still birth (heart issues, etc.). All genetic issues they claim to run prior to selling any "donated" embryos. I could write a novel on here about all the evidence. I wonder how many have settled out of court with this clinic and the Doody's? read more

The Good News - We saw Dr Doody twenty years ago and have lovely twin daughters. The Bad News - We discontinued usage of the sperm storage several years ago; however, the office mishandled this process and we had to resort to legal intervention to get our credit cleaned up. Frankly, it has taken several years of fighting with both the collection agency and the office to no avail. We asked to stop storage - two years later the office came back and retroactively charged us. Then, they turned us over to ProCollect. We paid the invoice and still paid over $1000 for legal fees to get this removed. Do not recommend ANY interaction with their business office without detailed documentation! read more

Edit: They tried to bribe me to take down my previous review. The office manager, Amy, said we wouldn't have to go to a new clinic if I took it down. We declined that offer, and still paid the $1,000 to transport our embryos to a new facility. That should tell you a lot about what kind of people work here and how this clinic operates. read more

I would stay far far away from this clinic and these Doctors!!! They are only in it for the money!! During one of my IVF cycles, they LOST one of my embryos. they couldn't find it. They left us waiting and lied to us during questioning, as we knew something was wrong, but no one would tell us what it was. Finally Dr. Kevin Doody was called in and they came clean about the ordeal. They gave us two options as what might have happened to my missing embryo, and made promise after promise to make this right. It took them 8 months to "find" my missing embryo. This was after they spent some time on getting quotes for new tanks. silly me I thought they were suppose to put the interest of their patients ahead of their own. Apparently saving some money was more important to them than I was or my missing embryo. During these 8 months i complained regularly about them not communicating with me. Even after my complaints, they still didn't get any better. they claimed that the Lab supervisor was emailing me, but I never once got an email from him. He finally did call me twice. Once was to say he was still in the process of transferring all specimens and the other was to say they had "cleared and drained the tank and were moving on the second one" A couple of days later I received an email from Dr. Kevin Doody claiming that they had found my embryo at the bottom of the tank. Well why didn't the lab supervisor inform me of this when he called? Sounds suspicious to me. We gave them a chance to keep all the promises they had to made us about making this right. However once he realized we would no longer feed their pocket full of money, we were fed even more lies and were promised he would call us the next day. This was over a month ago. NO phone call as of yet!! Maybe after he read this review? Dr. Kevin Doody was not even my DR. His wife Dr. Kathy Doody was. Where was she during all this? Who knows!! She wasn't there half the time anyway and when she was she was too busy to give you the time of day. Why did I go here in the fist place? Well I read review after review, and this was suppose to be the best clinic around. They were even awarded the tittle of "Super Doctors". So we thought we were in good hands. These Doctors are anything but Super. IVF is an expense and emotional roller coaster and many insurance companies don't even cover this procedure. If you want to endure this route then I highly recommend that you find another dr. and clinic. One that puts you first and not the money first. read more

Dr. Kathy is a MONSTER! I was referred to her by my OB/GYN. My bloodwork was sent to her before I arrived. Of course she did not look at it until I was in front of her. She saw that a specific level was high and that would make getting pregnant difficult. Instead of kindly explaining it to me, she went on a 15 minute rant about how unfair it was that she was left to give me the bad news. She was so upset that SHE was put in a difficult situation, she was only able to to yell about her misfortune of having to speak to me. I would have been devastated to receive this news by anyone. But having someone literally raise their voice and yell at me because someone else had not given me bad news was simply unacceptable! So yourself a favor - avoid this woman at all costs! read more

I used CARE Fertility for fertility preservation ( freezing my eggs). Even though I loved Dr Nackley, I feel that I can not trust their lab ever again. This lab is the only lab that has touched my eggs. When we went to unthaw them 5 years later, NONE of my eggs survived. Since this is the only lab that has touched my eggs, I can not recommend CARE Fertility for egg freezing/thaw. I wish I had done my homework a little better back when I was wanting to freeze my eggs. My advice to anyone who is looking to freeze their eggs for fertility preservation is look for a Dr and a lab ( lab is just as important as Dr) that has a good record for egg freeze and thaw success, and has done alot of freeze/thaw of eggs. This is different then embryo freeze/ thaw. Most labs have lots of experience with embryos. Dr. Nackley is by far the best doctor that I have ever had the privilege of meeting (her husband is also an awesome GI doctor). Dr. Nackley took care of me for 6+ months through fertility treatments. As an attorney, I wanted to do all the research I possibly could about the treatments and the good/bad. Dr. Nackley talked with me, helped me with my concerns, and answered all my questions. Please at least go in and consider meeting with her before you choose a doctor - she is amazing! For those patients that are complaining that the nurses are all they see, say something! I didn't see Dr. Nackley for a while for sonograms (which happen a lot when going through treatments) and for the remainder of my treatment she was at all my appointments and I made them when she was going to be at the office. Also, please remember that this is a fertility clinic and the area of practice is a very emotional one so those that didn't get pregnant under a doctor's care should not fault the doctor. read more

My husband and I had a horrific experience at this office and it was due to our meeting with Mayra, supposed insurance verification specialist. If I could give less than 1 star or negative stars, I would. My husband and I are both professionals and I am also going into the medical field so I know how patients, let alone human beings are supposed to be treated. Let me first say, you don't go into this process not expecting to pay for the expense, especially with us transferring from another office and trying to go to this Center of what was supposed to be Excellence. Money was never an issue and my questions were simply geared towards making sure we as patients were doing what we needed to do if we were going to use our "excellent insurance". That's pretty much all anyone could tell is that the insurance was "excellent". Not only did Mayra talk down to us (until I let her know she had to have been talking to wrong person because I was not accepting her tone of voice and attitude), she also told us it was not their job to actually verify our insurance or get authorization for a procedure. Furthermore, Mayra told us it was our job as patients to do our "homework". Had I not already done my "homework" I would not have been asking her the types of questions I was asking to ensure they were billing the insurance correctly and having everything applied to our deductible as necessary. Also, when I called our insurance while in her office to do my additional "homework" and make sure I could get my questions answered, Mayra was actually rudely mocking me and mumbling under her breath. I have never been treated so rudely and when she became too snappy, I had to ask for someone to go finish going over the information with us. At which point, she abruptly stood up and walked off with an attitude then kept rolling her eyes at me while we were in the other office with a different insurance verification specialist who told us it was their job to actually verify and go over the information with us. No one needs to go through this already stressful experience with someone who has a bad attitude like that. Who knows how many other people she has treated this way. It is completely unacceptable and I will drive my happy self 2 hours away to go to a professional office for this process rather than ever have to deal with someone so rude. read more

Let me just start out by saying I saw Dr. Thomas and received cringe worthy care from her and the office staff. This doctor saw that I had an ovarian cyst and flat out refused any kind of treatment (even after me trying and the office staff refusing to book an appointment after I ended up in the ER), well, due to her negligence that said ovarian cyst ended up twisting my ovary and as a 19 year old I ended up having to have my ovary surgically removed from another doctor. Had Dr. Thomas actually provided care and recognized this my ovary could've been saved. I would recommend not seeing her if you have any pain related medical issues because she refuses any kind of care. read more

Terrible place where no one listens to you. In it for the money. I have insurance coverage but nothing was pre-authorized and after paying $1000 out of pocket and having lots of labs drawn, I find out that NONE of the labs I had drawn were relevant to what I needed to know. Im not sure how a fertility clinic expects to diagnose your fertility problems without drawing any hormones, but this one did. The doctor decided that I needed a hysteroscopy (another $500) despite the fact that I told her the only problem I had historically was a possible blocked tube. She refused to even discuss an HSG, which can help flush tubes and diagnose issues there. The hysteroscopy was about a minute long and she simply said "looks good". She told me I needed to have my husband come in with sperm without even seeing whether or not I am hormonally sound (money, money, money!) . She never sat to talk to me about any concerns. why would I need IVF if "everything looks good"? Why are my periods so infrequent with other symptoms? I clearly have a hormonal imbalance, but they didnt even want to see what was going on. I'd have to be a complete idiot to come in and spend thousands of more dollars for unnecessary treatment especially with a clinic that just picks out which procedures they can put you through to cost you the most money. The only thing that was efficient about this place was how quick they took my money over the phone. It's a joke. read more

I had a fantastic experience with this clinic. I came here after a failed IVF cycle elsewhere when I was searching for new REs. I had an excellent consult with Dr. Kevin Doody. I had lots of questions and was very familiar with the process. He actually let me talk without cutting me off, had good comments, didn't make me feel stupid for asking my questions, etc. Their prices were reasonable comparatively to other clinics in DFW. I got lucky and they were even running a clinical trial which I qualified for. However, they were my front runner to go with even if I had not qualified for the trial. There are some things that were not great, a couple of the medical assistants were horrible at blood draws, they had some policies I would have preferred were different (won't transfer two embryos until a certain age, only prescribed certain meds for nausea), and some of the nurse communication seemed a bit short. But no one is perfect and this experience was SOOOO much better than my first round of IVF. The protocol was better, the ultrasounds were better, the retrieval and recovery was better, and the results were better. Dr. Kevin is also extremely knowledgeable and up to date on new information. Not to mention our first transfer here worked and I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant. I'd highly recommend them! read more

As a military Tricare beneficiary, I had was referred to CARE and had no choice in the matter. I was worried when I read the reviews on Yelp. I am so happy to report that after 9 months of incredible care by the staff here that those reviews did not reflect my experience. I began under the care of Dr. Mansfield who left after one treatment cycle to take a director position in Arizona. My care was transferred to Dr. Nackley and my husband and I have been nothing but happy to have her in our lives. I've spent a lot of time seeing many different specialists for infertility and gastrointestinal issues. The first thing I noticed as a CARE patient was that my doctors and nurses had read my file/health history/patient record before they ever stepped into the room to see me. I never had to repeat myself because the messages went into chart notes and that chart was updated and read before every visit. And I had a lot of visits! The administrative staff is professional, caring and efficient. They are responsive to phone messages and email messages. They take time to go through all of your questions. Tricare is not the easiest of insurance programs to deal with and they are exceptionally patient with that process. But they're also extremely caring. After a particularly difficult appointment, Brandi saw me waiting in the consult area in tears and came over to hug me. It's not unusual. It's just what the staff does. And that's incredibly special. All of the nursing staff is competent and with the exception of two, they are fully invested in their patients' experiences. My nurses returned my calls quickly, spent extra time with me at office visits, thoroughly answered all of questions (and I had a TON of questions) and got my messages through to my doctors quickly. They helped me when I was in tears after a disappointing cycle, they got excited with me when I had good news and, on the day I had my first OB ultrasound, they wanted to be in the room with me. That's a level of care that goes above and beyond what I ever expected. Whitney, Nikki and Lisa are superb individuals who are doing the work that they truly are meant to do and it shows. The Medical Assistants continue that level care. They know their patients, remember the best places to draw blood and always have kind words to help patients through this emotionally and physically draining process. I love Rudi, Aracely, Yahaira and Marisol. They've been such a huge part of the incredible support network I had at CARE. As for Dr. Nackley, I could never recommend her enough. She is, perhaps, one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. She is kind and extremely knowledgeable. She's sat with me for as long as I've needed to go through my options. She was always aware of our financial limitations, of the distance (3 hours, one way) we drove for appointments, of our emotional states and she did everything she could to help support us. She also was willing to be as aggressive as we wanted her to be. After three failed timed intercourse cycles which Tricare covers, she understood that we didn't have the money for IUIs and agreed to move on to IVF. During my IVF cycle, even though she was on vacation, she was always available via phone and text and my nurses were constantly communicating with her. My embryo transfer was on a Sunday and she never once acted like it was abnormal for her to come in for that. I was blown away by her dedication to this work and to me, her patient. Dr. Nackley is 100% the type of physician you want to see when dealing with infertility. Caring, exceptionally educated, exceptionally well-read and exceptionally proficient at her job. CARE for me was an incredible experience. I feel blessed to have this place in my life. I highly recommend CARE for women and men seeking infertility treatment. This IS the place to go. These ARE the doctors you want to see. This IS the staff that will support you through difficult times. I am currently pregnant with one baby after three failed timed intercourse cycles (using follistim) and one successful IVF/ICSI cycle. We had five successful embryos. We transferred two 4AA embryos on our first IVF/ICSI and froze three. When it comes time for FET, I will definitely be back to CARE and Dr. Nackley. read more

I feel like we were taken advantage of from day 1... we were given false hopes and had our emotions played with for almost 2 years... it was like we were an open wallet for the Doody's to spend at will.. Nothing seemed to matter in their eyes... another failed attempt, another charged consultation FEE.... Let's try again... Kat** and Kev** both acted like we were a Nuisance and took time out of their day. but wait, WE were paying for these so-called Consultations that should have been included.. The Icing on the cake was our LAST Implantation.... we arrived and were stalled.. what's wrong? did the thaw not work? Is our LAST chance not even going to happen? Dr Mansf**** tells us to "Go have Lunch". What the ???? WHY don't these people tell us anything? Okay fine, we will go have lunch and get another Valium for the procedure since the one was taken and we missed our "Window". Lunch, Valium and Phone call... "Come back to the Center". back at "We Don't" CARE we are led to Mr Doody's office where he has obviously been interrupted from a day of sun and Martini's by the couples pool at their mansion. (That many of us SUCKERS Paid for) he looks at with that look that we are "Once again taking time from his day" and says..... "We thawed the one but we can't find the other one and we will go ahead with the procedure and implant this one that is basically poor quality and stands no chance.." ALL our hopes are gone... this isn't going to work but I just paid $2300 for this next experiment that is flawed from the get go. that doesn't matter, the Doody's got their money... we asked "what about our Embryo? " no one seemed to care but US.... that was our LAST hope.. now I'm looking at another $2300 for ONE attempt? (IF they find it) We're broke, mentally drained and very frustrated.. so as we figured our final attempt was a failure and months went by with no word while WE made the Inquiries certainly never got anything from CARE because it was obvious that they didn't..... Where is our Embryo? that is our baby!!! 8 months after they lost our Embryo which the medical records show as Thawed we receive a BILL.... (YES, more money for The Doody's) a Bill for a Embryo that was never found but is in storage? who's Embryo is this, certainly not ours so we made the decision that instead of continuing to feed the "VULTURES" we would donate this Embryo.... We keep good records and know what is what... this wasn't our Embryo.. "it WAS THAWED" . These people are simply pathetic.... I feel for anyone that has had a traumatic experience such as ours and hopefully reading this review stops you from making the same mistakes we made in dealing with these people. our emotions and desire for a child got the most of us.... IF Capitalism is cleaning out peoples pockets with false hopes then that is pretty pathetic. read more

First of all I would like to start by saying I'm not a big fan of yelp so the fact that I've signed up just to counter these reviews shows how fired up I am. When I saw these two reviews of the CARE center I was on yahoo maps trying to navigate the traffic around the Bedford office and yelp happened to sponsor this location. I saw the one star review and thought no way, one star! I had to read. After reading both reviews I just about fell out! I'm not saying what happened to these women isn't true. I just don't want somebody to base their opinion about the CARE Center on these reviews alone. My experience with the CARE Center could not have been more different. I started seeing Dr. Anna Nackley in 2008 when my husband and I were trying to get pregnant. We tried Clomid for about three months which my body did not like. we decided to take a break, and I got pregnant on my own. I went into get my blood work done and everything looked fine. I wasn't able to get my first sonogram until I was eight weeks because it fell around the holidays. However, I had a sense that something wasn't right. I asked if I could come in at seven weeks and go ahead and get my first sonogram. They said not a problem. I came in and did my first sonogram and it turned out that my pregnancy was ectopic. They told me to go to Baylor Grapevine immediately and check myself in, which my husband and I did. while we were at the hospital the CARE Center tracked down my doctor, Dr. Nackley, she was in California with her family for the Holidays. she then track down my OBGYN, which then tracked down her nurse and call my husband at the hospital. CARE center had got together a skeleton crew to come in on the holidays to do my surgery and try to save my tube rather than than have it butchered at the hospital. Long story short. I ended up loosing Both of my tubes. The ectopic was extremely bad and my other tube had fluid in it. Through every process the CARE center was amazing!! We did ivf and had five embryos. We put in two and got our son who is now 3 and froze the other three. We then put in two more and got our daughter who in now 4mo. As I write this I'm sitting in the waiting room to start the process of using the last frozen one. The care center has been working with us financially, even qualified us for a marketing study grant that gave us $2000 off our procedure. They have waived fees and let us pay as we went the second time around. The fact that anyone would think they are in it for the money floors me. I need to add a side note* as I'm sitting here the receptionist just informed me that because I'm starting the process of using my last embryo they are waiving the $400 yearly embryo freezing amount. Just to reiterate my last statement. I have two beautiful children and am so very blessed. I feel equally blessed to have found CARE center. If you are considering any aspect of infertility treatments I urge you to at least talk with center for assisted reproduction. I'm glad I did!! read more

My experience with Dr. Kathy Doody was very unpleasant. She treated me badly my first visit, she was rude to me, I had to leave my appointment early, and never return. I do not advise anybody to go there. Stay away!!! read more

This was the worst office I have ever been to. The staff is notorganized. Nobody knew anything, had to always speak to someone else to give you answers. A 15 min appt lasted 2 hours cause they leave you sitting waiting for someone to come speak to you. Kathleen Doody is rough and non compassionate. The only thing good about this clinic in my experience is Dr. Nackley who is an exceptional doctor. She has truly been a life saver. However, I can't say the same about the overall culture that seems to prevail among the office staff. Most of the office staff members that I dealt with were very impolite, rude, and condescending. Particularly, certain staff involved with billing and scheduling of surgery were beyond rude. The person in charge of scheduling surgery at the Bedford location hung up on my call when I was merely discussing insurance related details with her. The other person in billing at the Bedford location told me she was going to disconnect and stated to me that "everyone from the physician on down" is frustrated with my case. Yet another lady in billing at the affiliated Fort Worth location had a condescending tone of voice when she stated to me that they had already made adjustments for me to squeeze my appointment in. Clearly, this was not the type of experience that any sick patient would want to receive. I had a huge fibroid that was causing me to bleed excessively. The staff members that I dealt with made it clear that they were lacking in empathy by their patronizing tone and mannerisms. I felt that the office staff members developed a prejudice against me for having a short term insurance policy at the time. I currently have Obamacare insurance with the affordable care act so hopefully the office staff members there can quit judging me and treating me differently for having less money than some of their other patients. I believe in equality for all. Patients need to be given the same amount of consideration, concern, and RESPECT regardless of their socioeconomic background. I am a certified teacher and I hold a master's degree in social work. My education has taught me not to let these injustices slide. This Dr. is money hungry. I completely understand that this could get expensive, but good lord. Last year my husband and I spent almost $1000 dollars on blood work and testing. Not one call from them. Today I realize that if I want anything else tested I need to do so because I am coming up on a year. $90 just to do blood work before they would write a prescription! Test for pregnancy can be done many ways, but this is the high end. CARE what a joke! read more

Dr. Kevin is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I've ever seen. Never once did I feel like I was just another patient to him. He was very confident in my individual health care plan and appropriately set my expectations all along the way. If you are struggling with infertility, he is the doctor you want to see for many reasons. My husband and I can't say enough about the level of emotional and physical care we received with him - you can full heartedly trust him and his staff. I don't usually write reviews on my experiences at places I visit, but I felt that the care I received at CARE Fertility needed to be shared. After reading all of the reviews on Yelp, not sure why the rating is so low... I did notice that majority of the reviews on CARE Fertility are positive but are hidden in the "Reviews That Are Not Currently Recommended" section. With the visits I had at CARE, I would only expect 5 star ratings from this clinic!! I did not have an easy journey to getting pregnant, yet the feeling of HOPE never left my husband and I. After two unsuccessful pregnancies, we finally had successful one, and that's all we needed!! If it wasn't for Dr. Nackley and staff at CARE, our daughter would not be part of our life. We will always be thankful for CARE Fertility. read more

People need to quit whining about paying for stuff even though they have insurance. Most insurance plans done pay for fertility at all. So even if things weren't covered here, they're lucky it got covered at another place. They need to take that up with their insurance companies! I've had a great experience with Dr. Thomas. I switched from another doctor at another clinic mid clomid cycle because I couldn't get in touch with anyone at that clinic. CARE got me an appointment for a new patient visit in just a few days. Dr. Thomas actually did a work up instead of throwing meds at me and telling me to let her know in a few weeks if it worked. I'm much closer followed up after taking the meds with her too. She personally calls me with results and next steps in the process all the time. And if she doesn't, the nurses know what they're talking about. I'm always called within the time frame they tell me I will be. We live 2 hours away and they have been extremely flexible with us and our appointments They always tell us what to expect for cost of everything up front before we do it. The whole process is expensive, but it's expensive everywhere. I feel like we are getting what we pay for here. read more

My wife and I started going here May of this year originally at the Fort Worth location. It was an okay experience, everyone seemed nice. However, My wife had the appointment and when we both went there they talked us into me being seen as well. I told them I did not want to unless my insurance covered. They assured me it was covered so I took the appointment. 3 weeks later, $400 bill in the mail. I questioned it, but of course was told it was "because of the insurance" so I paid it. We then transferred to the Bedford location, which is where all our big problems began. My wife had a procedure & paid $2000 & I had a procedure. It was cheaper to self pay, so I chose the self pay option. Was assured there would be no other out of pocket, I payed $1900 cash. A month later, received a bill for $60 more dollars.In May we told the ladies that we wanted to start the IVF process in Dec. They verified insurance AND sent a pre auth, we were told pre auth was approved and her part would be covered. So we planned to pay for my portion and both of our meds. We payed $200 to see the counselor, I did my $1900 procedure she did her $2000 procedure. Upon scheduling, we were now told, today in Nov insurance is NOT going to cover and we have to pay now, roughly, $13k. I made a phone call to the BEDFORD location, spoke with a billing manager named Amy. She immediately knew the situation & was on defense from the second she answered the phone. She proceeded to throw in my face that IVF is very expensive & that most insurances do not cover it. She said "what we do is a very expensive service". That wasn't even my questions and why is that even necessary for you to state the obvious. (I will be honest I felt offended and I felt she was insinuating I could not afford this procedure). I explained to her that I am a office manager at a dental office & with our patients, if insurance goes back on their word, we send things like Appeals, & I asked if that was something they would do? She said no, that she was going to call the insurance company, confirm that they were not going to cover it. She kept telling me that this procedure was expensive & I needed to understand that insurance does not always cover it. I then asked her, what they were going to do to help us with this? Her response was "do not bash our company for something that is not our fault." At this point am confused because I did not "bash" the company. I simply asked if she could send an appeal. I of course, stood there shocked, I could not believe the tone and level of disrespect I was getting for this woman. I am very aware with how insurance companies work, I know they are shady and go back on their word. However, we did not feel that these people had any empathy on our situation. All she did was tell me it was expensive, that she would NOT send an appeal, and that I could do private pay option or care credit. I did not even get a "I am sorry this happened to you, we feel so horrible." To make matters worse, Amy would interrupt me, not hear my responses, she was yelling at me and sighing, and to top it off, as I was in mid sentence, she told me that she could not help me anymore, she would have a manager call me and literally HUNG UP ON ME. I could not believe it. Being a manager of a health care office myself, I was floored. This is NOT how patients should be treated and to be honest there are several people that have this type of customer service at the BEDFORD location. Jill was also another one that was rude to us upon scheduling my procedure to the point where I had to ask if there was someone else a little nicer I could talk to. We really really like Dr. Thomas. She is a great doctor. They also have a scheduling consultant who was amazing named Kelly, she helped with every question we had and always seemed happy. However, the MAJORITY of the staff with this company, all act very similar to this Amy "manager". I will also state, I was told the wrong procedure upon scheduling. A voicemail was left stating I needed a certain procedure, when I called to ask questions I was told that whoever left the voicemail told me the WRONG PROCEDURE!!! I have contacted a manager at the fort worth location named Laurie. I left a voice mail today, hopefully I will hear back from her soon. I am not sure we will be starting our family with this negative medical group. read more

Dr. Mansfield is fabulous. I highly recommend her. She genuinely cares about her patients and at times her late evening phone calls to check on me were the most sincere and encouraging. We did our first IVF cycle in late 2010 and I got pregnant but miscarried. We did a 2nd IVF cycle in summer 2011 and I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in the spring of 2012. Dr Mansfield's promise to help me get pregnant was fulfilled. I had very little interactions with the other doctors on staff here so I cant speak for them but my overall experience has been fantastic and this year we will be doing a frozen embryo transfer. read more

I agree with the other postings on this board, do not go to this clinic. I was referred by a co worker and very much regret it. We were told based on my tests that the best recommendation was IVF. We did 2 rounds of IVF without success. I understand that IVF doesn't work for everyone so we decided per the doctors recommendations to move on to donor eggs to increase our chances. We choose to do the clinics donor refund program which meant we paid up front and if we didn't have success we would get a portion of our money back. We choose a proven donor and did 3 rounds of donor egg IVF with no success. After the first cycle and very much after the second failed cycle we really wanted additional testing done to find out why we weren't having success. I have many friends who if their cycles didn't work they would have additional testing or a change in protocol and get pregnant. This clinic refused to do any additional testing or change anything. We even offered to pay for additional testing to be done. I feel like the doctors and staff just blew us off and continued with their cookie cutter approach to my treatment. I am not a doctor, but if you continue to fail at something it makes sense to try something new. I was made to feel like I was being a nuisance for asking for this, and we new going into our last cycle that it wasn't going to work. I still have no medical reason given to me as to why we weren't successful. I am very angry and heartbroken to have spent all that time and money and have nothing to show for it. We left this clinic in September and in November I got pregnant naturally all on my own without any medical assistance. My new OB ran some additional blood clotting tests and we found out I have a blood clotting disorder which is easily treatable with a shot I give myself each evening and taking baby asprin once daily. Ironically these are the same test I asked Dr. Nackley and her staff for and where told they didn't find them necessary.. I am now 14 weeks pregnant and beyond thankful we left this clinic when we did. read more

My experience with CARE Fertility was a bit hard... I will say that all of the staff was very nice and professional, also the office is very nice clean and quiet. My only concerns was all my fertility testing came out absolutely normal they couldn't find a thing wrong. well my husband semen analysis was a bit abnormal so they sent him to a urologist. after months of treatment his numbers started to rise. I had never had any fertility Treatment at all and this office JUMPED straight to IVF. IVF was the only option we had and they weren't willing to try any other approach I stated my concerns with that. Why Jump straight to a 15,000 procedure will out trying anything else first? such as an IUI with Drugs... I was told that I wouldn't get pregnant unless we did the IVF. I left the office sick to my stomach. months went by and we scheduled another appointment with CARE Fertility to see if the Doc. Would change her Mind and the answer was NO! IVF was still the only option given to us!. I decided to get a second opinion. I went to a different clinic called IVFMD. There I had all the same testing and they told me I didn't ovulate on my own. after two rounds of clomid and the IUI I was PREGNANT. When I was told months before IVF was my only option at CARE Fertility. I don't think this is a Bad place I just think they missed a few things unintentionally. My Advice would be to get a second opinion always before you go into to financial debt with a procedure that was not needed! read more
