OB/GYN Today I came to my 18yr Old nieces 8th month OB…read moreappointment and brought my aunt. My niece lost her mom the end of March and is expecting her first baby last of May. -I'm stationed overseas and have to return home this week so I brought my aunt with us to ensure my niece has support since her mom Is gone. Last appt we attended (2 weeks ago) the nurse that brought us back said only 1 person in the room. Baby daddy was with us for his 1st time and I told her I'd be present today as well because we just lost her mom the week before. No issues and everyone was polite. However, today when we were called back, the nurse or tech (Stephanie) said only one person and I told her I was returning overseas and she had a nasty attitude. I don't appreciate attitudes from medical professionals. In this situation it should be understood and empathy should be given. She retimed to but room to retake her blood pressure and when asked if it were high/low or good she initially ignored me and I had to reask. If management or supervisors read this please speak to thanks for your support. Medical care isn't free and we'd appreciate proper respect and care. 23yr Active Duty Army here so pretty sure I've earned some respect. Stephanie decided to send in another tech/nurse in. Her attitude is already better than Stephanie's.

My husband was taken to Wellstar Spalding ER on 7/16/26 for severe stomach pain. They performed a…read moreCT scan and did lab work. We were told that nothing showed on the CT scan or the lab work. Still in pain he was discharged home at 1200 midnight. They didn't even prescribe him any medication for pain. My husband was in pain all night and was vomiting. We returned to Wellstar Spalding that same morning at 930. They did more lab work. I asked them to perform another CT scan this time with contrast so that the visibility of specific tissues and organs would be enhance (I work in the medical field) because I knew something was badly wrong with my husband. They refused and said that the contrast wouldn't make a difference and that hospitals were experiencing a shortage of contrast. They diagnosed him with constipation and discharged him. I and my family rejected the diagnosis and demanded they did more testing; the ER staff simply told us it was definitely constipation and discharged my husband with a prescription for magnesium citrate (a laxative). Once we arrived home, my husband's pain was unbearable. I and our children took him to Atrium Navicent Hospital ER in Macon, GA. There they performed a series of test, bloodwork, and yes, a CT scan with contrast. It was found that my husband was suffering from a bowel obstruction. He was admitted and surgery was performed. Today is 7/23/26 and my husband is still in the hospital at Atrium Navicent. I am at his bedside as I type this review. I and my family will NEVER EVER go to Wellstar Spalding for anything! I pray that anyone that read my review will not go there either, they do not care about their patient! Go to Atrium Navicent in Macon!

Okay, fine. I ask for a nurse to call me back with wound care going forward, because this is info we would have gotten at the follow up visit. The nurse calls back and says that we can go to urgent care. That is pure negligence on this practices part. There is no need for my husband to go clog up the urgent care to find out if we need to continue to wrap is toe or leave it to open air. All because they're waiting on workers comp to send the info for my husbands heel sore. Terrible! Let's me know they are more concerned with money than patient care.

I was officially diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, which I suspected. Doctor said he was giving me an airheel for each foot, a splint for night time, and he was prescribing a topical pain reliever that would be filled by a Texas pharmacy since no local pharmacies carried it. My insurance company was billed $90 for each Airheel and $90 for the splint. Checking online, the exact same Airheel is readily available for less than $30 each and the splint for $20! A couple days later I get a call from the Texas pharmacy saying my insurance company declined to pay for the topical pain reliever so they were looking to set up a cash arrangement. I asked the cost and she replies, "Its in the thousands!" I already pay too much for healthcare but this facility makes me understand why! Absolutely irresponsible!
