Where do I begin first? Oh yes, this place doesn't have anything good going for it. From the one nurse who consistently hangs up the phone when we call for an apointment, to the other which tells us that the doctor isn't in the office(when we really know he is really in) to other main problems, this location is horrible. But because this is the main location of the pediatric branch, makes this place a bit of a problem When we first started it wasnt this bad. When you are able to see the doc, the doc is okay, if not a little booked. Many branches of this place exist(5 floors worth) in this building. read more

I am a new patient at Caremount dermatology. I haven't even been seen yet. I had made a appointment. I missed the appointment cause my aides vehicle broke down. So they told me too come in today at 12:00. This is the second time they double booked me. I have had enough. They have been rude and incompetent. The nurse hung up on me. An the dr. I was originally going too see refuses too care for me. Deramatology staff made the mistakes so I didnt trust them too give me a appointment over the phone so I went in. I heard the dr. Say too staff over the phone he wasn't going too see me. I just wanted a appointment too care for a very painful disease, it's called dercums disease. So now I lay here in my bed feeling like I am being stabbed from the inside out. Cause they canceled/gave my appointment too someone else. Now I have too wait till Wednesday. I would give this organization zero stars if I could. I strongly believe they are committing medical billing fraud. In two years, I've had billing issues with them twice for incorrect billing practices. The first time the issue was eventually resolved. The second time I was charged almost $1,000 for my annual gynecology visit (which should be fully covered by my insurance) because they submitted it to my insurance as a regular doctor's visit. They then insisted the visit I originally booked was not for an annual gynecology appointment (not true), insisted I was not well at the visit because I had a test done (which came back negative) at the suggestion of the assistant who took my medical history and because I had tests done which I only consented to on the condition they were part of an annual gynecology exam and would be covered by insurance (they did the tests and then said they were not covered and I had requested them). Because I provided some medical history background to the gynecologist (a new doctor I was planning to see regularly as issues arose) they said that the appointment was for a non-well visit and couldn't be an annual gynecology appointment, despite the fact that I had no gynecology issues at the time of my visit and was completely well. After almost a year of disputing the charge, Caremount sent the bill to a collections agency and I was forced to pay to avoid a hit to my credit score. Caremount has a monopoly on medical care in this area and operates as though it is above law and ethics. I'm hopeful this review encourages at least one person to use their power to choose other providers instead of Caremount. read more

If only negative stars were possible. I have used this company, mistakenly, two years and have had NOTHING but headaches with them. Last year, 2010, I went to them for a yearly physical with a Dr. B... at their Southeast Location. Minus the fire alarm going off and the extra waiting the visit went well enough and my copayment was made at the beginning of the visit. I was told I should have blood work done which I went across the hall to have drawn. I explicity said, at the beginning and as I was about the leave the office that my insurance company did not participate with Quest and they could use anyone EXCEPT them. The receptionist assured me that she had attached a note to my file and it would not be sent there. Then began the trouble, a few months later I received a bill for almost half a grand in blood labs because my insurance company wouldn't pay for it as they sent it to Quest. I made multiple visits, as well as phone calls to their Southeast office to have it straightened out and after the better part of 9 months!!! thought it was finally straightened out. (HAHA it's not!) I also went to one of their OBGYN Dr. K who although ok never treated me like a patient and was too anxious to get out of the room (no I do not smell) and I had to ask most of my questions to her nurse, who was exceptional and shouldn't work for a crappy company In my opinion. Now come to this year, 2011, where I had an OBGYN appointment, unfortunately with the same Dr. K. Again this year I felt like she was far too anxious to get out of the room, and on top of it I waited close to an hour for my scheduled visit. Again simple questions I had to ask the nurse, who again was excellent. Now I've received a bill stating that I need to repay my co-payment (which I paid last year at the time of the visit) as they "claim" they just received the information from my insurance company. This I almost laughed at and tried to explain to the woman that I had JUST spoken with my insurance company and they cleared the information 9-14-2010. When I then told the woman that HER company should contact my insurance company, per the advice from my insurance company, and that it was bullshit to be billed multiple times over multiple years she promptly HUNG UP ON ME! NEVER in my life have I been treated so disrespectfully and rudely by multiple personally in this company. NEVER will I go there again and if you are thinking about going I highly recommend NOT. You are not a patient you are simply a bill that they will try to get as much money out of as humanly possible. They do not listen to any concerns you have and try to make every visit as short as possible, and then bill you for things that didn't happen and doctors you didn't see. (oh did I forget to mention that, one of the doctors names on my most recent bill I've never even heard of before!!) Needles to say I will be fighting this bill tooth and nail, and my insurance company will be kept in the loop about the scamming (and in my opinion fraud) this company is trying to get by with hoping people won't notice. If you want to be double, perhaps even triple billed for things and get no service out of a company, and have test results messed up and general headachs go to this company. I needed a prescription renewal. When I called the main number, the recording said I could renew my prescription using the patient portal. So I did. That was 1/3/2019. I have yet to hear back. I hate calling because either I'm put on hold or disconnected. I think it's time to look for a different practice. read more

As a registered nurse, I certainly understand the ins and outs of the medical field. I've been a patient of MKMG for four years, and I am totally satisfied with my experiences so far. Not once have they cancelled my appointment. Not once have I encountered a rude staff member, or had any of my questions brushed off. Yes, I've occasionally had my appointment delayed. This doesn't bother me, because I know how easy it is for doctors and staff to get backed up. It's medicine, not a train schedule: emergencies happen, patients themselves are late getting to appointments, and sometimes doctors need to spend extra time with a patient who is receiving a bad diagnosis. Minus one star, because while I no longer work for a hospital (thank The Lord!!!), a few of my nurse friends have said that some MKMG physicians can be pretty rude to them when they make rounds. I have had metastatic breast cancer for several years now. I always used the lab located in the blue building for my bloodwork and never had a problem with anyone up until TODAY 1/22/2018 I go into have my bloodwork done by a new person, I did not catch her name, she seemed nice at first, but well I did not end up getting my bloodwork for my oncologist appt tomorrow morning. She asked my name and date of birth as usual I answered all of the questions, I have very BAD veins so I started to tap on the top of my hand to maybe get the veins going like I have always done. She said ok roll up the sleeve, I said WHY? she said I need to draw your blood. I told her my veins are bad and we ALWAYS go thru the top of my, she said well today we are going to do the arm. I looked up and her and said NO we are not going to go thru my arm, with all my surgeries and chemo we were not able to use my arm. She started to put on the elastic thing over my shirt I told her one again we are not going to go thru my arm.....hand only please............. I know what I am talking about. She said that here we go thru the arm, I said once again NO WE ARE NOT!!!. She left the room went to talk to someone out in front she came back in laughing and said ok we will go thru the hand. I asked if she had a hot pack because sometimes that helps me she said yes, but I think I have a vein here, so I said good ok. She puts on the elastic on the lower part of my arm and its is really really tighter than usual, she puts in the butterfly needle sideways and is moving it around hurting me and she said no blood is coming out, I said that has happened before, It usually happens when I am STRESSED out. She said do you drink water ............yes I said, I have been doing this awhile and I know to drink tons of water. She pulls out the needle and said ok we do the other hand now, I said oh no we are not, I will come back tomorrow, in which I have no intention of doing. She really has upset me to the point where I am finding another health care company. I do not like CAREMOUNT they SUCK!!!!!!!! I have never had any problems until they changed over to caremount. I will be letting my oncologist know this tomorrow when I see him. I know there is nothing they can do about this he is not in charge or has no say in anything ADMINISTRATIVE but to let him know WHY I am DONE with CAREMOUNT!!!! Well this maybe a little long. My wife started at mkmg when were trying to get pregnant. This was 4 years ago before the new fancy office tower. I went with my wife to every OB appt after she got pregnant and I have to say her Dr. is the best. The staff is great, the nurses are great and the location is great. Everything went so well that our son sees the pediatricians there. Both pediatric Dr.s are great and so are the nurses. My wife and I also see their GP as well as their eye doctor. It's great to go into a place and see the same faces and have your medical records filled out in advanced. Such a pleasure after dealing with other groups. Yes they are a big group but it does not feel that way. read more

Very pleased with this medical group so far. I am pregnant with twins and now go to appointments in the OBGYN department weekly. The reception staff is super friendly. They do get backed up depending on the day unfortunately so I have had to wait an hour for an appointment on certain days, however, I believe this is because of them fitting in last minute emergencies which happens in medicine. That made me knock off a star. Everyone I have seen has been knowledgeable and made me feel at ease while alerting me to any concerns that I have and taking any symptoms that I mention very seriously. Dr. Eng and Dr. El Kareh are especially great and I feel comfortable knowing that I am in this medical group's hands. read more

Went in to see Dr. Sadia Sahabi on 7/25/2019 and she was wonderful. It was my first time meeting her and she was the best GYN I have been to yet. She took time to get to know me and was as nice as could be. I would recommend Dr. Sahabi to my closest family members. read more

My experiences with the doctors have been that they seem competent, but are in a huge rush because they are obviously overbooked. Typically there is a fairly long wait, then the doctors I've seen tend to have very little time to answer questions and can only address one concern per appointment - and barely that. Dr. Aguwa seemed so harried in my last annual that she kept starting to leave and then being like oh wait OOPS I didn't do this/ask you this...And she doesn't seem like a frazzled person, I think she just was overbooked. My bigger issues have been with the billing department, though. I had an appointment in May of 2017, paid a bill for an appointment that cost me almost $200 out of pocket ( I have insurance), but just received a second bill from them for that appointment - 15 months later - saying I owe an additional $400. This was for a recommended, necessary, and routine screening, and I've received no information about why they've sent my this huge bill over a year later...So in summary, it's expensive, mismanaged, and it's run like a business that only cares about the bottom line. Even if the doctors are knowledgable and care, they don't have time to listen to you. Also - there are a lot of "not recommended" reviews that sound pretty accurate to me, if you want more opinions I would read them. read more

Terrible staff. Good luck making an appointment here. I called with an emergency trying to get in to the internal medicine office. Was told sorry, I have an opening in 3 1/2 weeks. .. this is with an EMERGENCY condition!... If you complain, they put you on hold for about 20 minutes, no doubt hoping you'll hang up... The doctors are fine at MKMG, but the staff is beyond horrendous. Do yourself a favor, like I did, and find another medical group. I had to wait for a call back to schedule an appointment for nearly 45 minutes. When I finally received the call back the scheduler became confused at what I needed to have done, wasted ten minutes of my time, and then "transferred me" to the right department. OMG, Dr. Philip Goodwin has to be the the most insensitive and least compassionate doctor of all. He was abrupt and seemed annoyed that I had 4 questions regarding medical issues. Did not make eye contact. I was only allowed to ask three questions. Told me if I wanted answers to my questions I had to schedule additional appointments. I will never return to see him. I called to make an appointment at MKMG last week and a young man named Kevin answered the phone. He was very helpful and extremely nice. He made my appointment for me and answered a few of my questions also. He seemed very knowledgable and his voice was very soothing and calming. He made me feel very relaxed. The best part is I was looking for a Friday appointment but he was only able to get me in Wednesday or Thursday that week, so I took a Thursday appointment. 15 min. later Kevin called me back and told me there was another patient who had canceled there Friday appointment and asked me if I would like to be moved to Friday instead of coming in on Thursday. Its that kind of professionalism that sets MKMG apart from the others. MKMG should be proud to have a true professional such as Kevin on their team. Its service like this that keeps me going back time and time again for all my medical needs. Not to mention that all the Doctors I have seen at are excellent doctors. I have been very pleased with the doctors and the convenience up until the past year or so. I am so frustrated by the multiple contacts reminding me of my appointments... phone, text, and email even when you confirm they still keep calling. Feels so rude. Not bad enough? Then I cancel an appointment well ahead of time and I get a call the day of the cancelled appt telling me I have missed my appt. I explained that I certainly had cancelled it. The person on the other end seemed to accept this without objection. Well,I thought I was done... not that easy. I get a bill for $25 for that 'missed appt'!! I like my doctors well enough but the way this place is run has gotten very bad. One more... it cost me $1500 for a one page report about my surgery for my lawyer!! He said he had never seen any report so bad and had never paid more than $1000 for a decent report. Is there an alternative? I have tried for months to get important heart prescriptions for my blind elderly mother. She had two blood tests for the same thing a year ago and I tried for months to get the doctor's office on the phone to find out her result and get a prescription. He was always on vacation. When I finally got through, they said he resigned. Nobody had notified us of that. I made another appointment with a nurse practitioner in a different branch because there were no doctors available. Still, the new appointment was months away and my mom's been rationing her heart medication. Finally got there today only for a receptionist to sigh, roll her eyes at us, and say "um, she isn't HERE. We CALLED you." Then she refused to speak with me further, so the other receptionist stepped in and said they didn't know when she'd be back and she'd try to get us squeezed in with someone else in an hour and a half. We'd have absolutely accepted responsibility for my mom missing that call. However, the first receptionist was unbelievably rude right off the bat the moment we came in. We unfortunately couldn't wait so we walked out frustrated and with no prescriptions. These were prescriptions she's already had so they could have at least renewed the heart one. This is how it has been for a year and a half of trying to get my mother treated here. I have also been a patient here and it has been one nightmare after another. They double billed me and wouldn't correct it. They ordered expensive incorrect tests for my problem and it's still untreated. They can't get my prescriptions right so I have to make do with cutting pieces off my pills to approximate the right dosage. I have lived in a lot of places and have never seen such absolute incompetence with a medical organization in my life. read more

Very rude staff. Doctors seem good but extremely aggressive to run the tests you don't need and put you under surgery at the slightest symptoms. If you go there, I recommend as second opinion before you agree to their advise for a biposy and a surgical process. Their billing system totally sucks. CareMount MEDICAL kept me on hold for over 15 minutes when I was trying to cancel an appointment and then the charged me $25 for cancelling within 24 hours. I cancelled at 10:25 on Thursday for a 10:15 on Friday!!!!! It's not like the doctors are sitting around waiting for their patients to come in. They are so overbooked that you wait 45 minutes for your appointment. They didn't lose business because I cancelled. After 20 years with the practice, I am changing all of my doctors. read more

Where to begin.... I have been going to MHMG for roughly 25 years now & have never had an issue until Mt Kisco took over. Beginning with just trying to find a parking spot has always been an issue but adding in the valet just made it worst. Just this morning I could not even pull out of my parking place because of the line of cars stuck waiting for the valet & no one could pass who just wanted to fend for themselves or get out of the lot. Checking in now has become semi automated with the touch pads ASKING THE SAME DAM THING EVERY VISIT! How many times do you need to sigh the HIPPA? Having to swipe the wireless device to pay for the visit is just asking to have your credit/debit card compromised. It is real easy to intercept wireless signals BTW. Its also fun wondering what disease you are going to contract from handling something that you have no idea who sneezed on before you. I don't have a spleen so it is a real crap shoot for me if I will wind up in the hospital after that. Also it is dam near impossible for elderly people to operate the device. Now you would think the counter person would take the 30 seconds to check them in instead but no they suggest they bring help or actually told my in-laws to ask someone in the waiting room for help. I refused to use the pad because I really don't feel like playing roulette with what disease I may get & I was told they would get in trouble if I didn't. I explained my situation & they did comply nicely the first time. Today's visit the person checking me in didn't listen to a word I said & then had gotten rude by the end of check in after asking if I could get a detailed receipt to submit to my med flex. I tried to explain that she could send me it in an E-mail but it needed to be details for the visit. Instead she printed it out & handed me the plan receipt that the med flex will not accept & offering no information as to ho to obtain a copy. Getting through by phone has become a joke as well. I had to hand up after spending 10 minuets on hold. I wound up finding an ENT elsewhere. And don't bother leaving a message. I left one a month ago because my blood pressure medications were not working & I was 157/101 & was trying to get in or at least recommend a specialist since, nurses exact words "after this med change & if it doesn't work there is nothing we can do for you..............". Never even gave me guidance as to who I should go see or what I needed to do next. just "have a nice life whats left of it". This treatment is totally unacceptable anywhere never mind at a doctors office. I will say up until Mt Kisco took over I have not had any bad experiences with the doctors or staff. Way to go caremount? I think another name change is needed here. The new management has taken a perfectly acceptable practice & turned it into a nightmare. Thanks Cares-less-mount. I am fed up with this place, I like my doctor's although the wait time to see them is stupid. Their billing department, once you manage to get through are polite but this big money making machine doesn't give two shits about their clients. Watch out for their "new client" fees, Having been with them for nearly 20 years I just go a new client fee as my doctor was fully booked the one day I got sick! I have disputed charges and in the past, as their billing would be wrong or they miss code things or over/double charged me.. This review is about my experience with the Lab on the 2nd floor. I had the most horrific experience this morning when I visited the lab at the Poughkeepsie location. I've had blood work done very often in my life, in many locations, and I have never been treated the way I was treated this morning! The technician was extremely rude, unprofessional and she hurt me badly. It all started because there was some confusion regarding a specific test that I just wanted to make sure had been ordered because my doctor insisted on it and the technician looked at her paper, and said it had not been ordered. I had to go back to my doctor's office to check with them and they said they did order the test and they sent me back to the lab. When I arrived , I could immediately feel that the technician was very mad at me. She told me I didn't ask her about the right test! Her attitude made me very nervous and I almost walked out. I guess I should have!!! She proceeded to place the rubber band around my arm and it was so tight that I screamed in pain saying it was too tight! I even tried to loosen it with my left hand. She said "it's only for 2 seconds!". After taking the blood, she just said "You're done" and she left. I was absolutely stunned and I left the lab crying, feeling the burn where the rubber had dug in my skin. 3 hours later, I can still see the mark it has left on my arm! read more

Our Dr is still affiliated with this facility so we still goes but when she leaves we will quickly do the same. Nurses station phone answering service reached a new level of rudeness when I was yelled at by mentioning that my latest appointment does not appear to be in their system. Although the practice came highly recommended several years ago, I believe its time to switch. I was sent on a phone goose chase being forwarded to people who weren't there. It is pointless to leave a message. The last time I left a message, it took the person 2 MONTHS to get back to me. TWO MONTHS!! And that person's title was Patient Care Assistant. They still have my wife's insurance WRONG. We have been trying for almost a year to straighten out that screw up, but, ah sh*t, that will never happen. Finding a good Vet might be the better option. read more

I have been a patient of the Mid-Hudson Medical Group for years. Since Mount Kisco Medical Group has taken over, the cost of services has TRIPLED!! I had a visit at the optometrist group in Fishkill, signed a paper which stated their rates if NOT covered by insurance, which I was not. First of all, these rates are 2-3 times what I paid just two years ago, prior to Mt. Cisco taking over. Secondly, the bill I received was more than twice the rate that I was given at the time of service. This group is one giant rip-off. If you do not have insurance, BUYER BEWARE!! And even if you do have insurance, it is important to know that groups like this is why medical insurance costs are through the roof! read more

recently had an MRI in the Fishkill location, on 4/9/15 of the cervical spine. My insurance is BC/BS federal employee plan, the charges were $2,313 of which they paid $1,465, my copay portion is $219. I did not realized I would be responsible for this amount at time of service. I subsequently am having 4 more MRIs performed at a Different facility which charges $1,245 of which my plan will pay $445 and I am responsible for $66 of copay. When I inquired if the copay could be waived I was told no because it's against the contract policy with MKMG and BC/BS, which is totally untrue. This was clarified by 2 different representatives at BC/BS. They said it is totally up to the provider and can be waived at any time at their discretion. I am under the impression that MKMG and its billing personnel are told this in an effort to NOT allow for any patient negotiation under any circumstances. I have declined to have my additional 4 MRIs at MKMG and will be going to another facility. If I would have been told of the amount I would be responsible for prior to the MRI I would have not had it at MKMG. In the overall climate of reduced reimbursements for care my policy paid a whopping $1,465 compared to other rates that's a sizable amount. My plan pays well and other providers I have contacted agree and would have waived the remaining amount. I will not be returning to your facility. It's just a poor, greedy ,business practice and one that does not factor in goodwill or overall patient satisfaction read more

MKMG has been a breath of fresh air as far as I am concerned. They are a busy practice which I think can be a reason to stay away from so called "medical-mills". However I have always felt like I am receiving one on one care and attention no matter my signs/symptoms. I would recommend them to my family and friends without question. I was upset when my doctor (Dr. Guzzardi) moved to the Fishkill office but due to my experience so far I will make the drive to see him without hesitation. Recently I was seen in the Poughkeepsie office by Dr. Kline and was very impressed with the thorough care and attention provided. I was pleasantly surprised when she called me personally to see how I was feeling The Poughkeepsie office has on site radiology and a lab, blood work is easy to obtain and the phlebotomists are quick and skilled. Plus there is a cvs pharmacy about 100 feet from the building so picking up a RX is simple and convenient. read more

I have had good experience with Doctors here, they are responsive and caring. But their billing and administration are less than the lowest ranks. Be careful of their billing method. Checks sent are applied to visit bills randomly. So if you use FSA, many a times FSA dollars are applied to bills from past years creating a mess for people with FSA accounts.They expect you to specify which payment gets applied to which bill (as if medical bills are easy to comprehend!) Bills are confusing and are always a huge challenge. I have discovered errors and spent hours sifting thru the entries and wasting my time.If it was not for proximity and some of the Doctors we visit, I would have abandoned this practice in a heartbeat. read more

The doctors are more interested in selling other services with possible diseases. first It was my kid could has cilliacts (even though no symptom's) Next it was gluten sensitivity (no symptom's). Looks like there more interested in making money. read more

I love Dr. Flam, but their system does not work. It is impossible to actually talk to anybody or get straight answers on anything. My biggest complaint is towards the receptionists and schedulers who are cringingly rude and unhelpful. They are disrespectful and useless. read more

Three trips to CareMount urgent care. Three time they diagnosed me wrong. Against my better judgement, but due to convenience, I recently gave it another try. After having a bad headache from having a mole removed on my head, I went with the intention of being told what the best thing I should take for it. That was it. I was told they couldn't give me any advice without tests. All I wanted to know if I should take Tylenol or something else. The headache was so severe it was making me nauseous. Told me to to the emergency room. This was after waiting for 2 hours to see a physician assistant that lasted 4 minutes. After having tests done at the emergency room and $450 later, the doctor met with me. Asked me why I was sent there? Told me all I needed was to take Tylenol! Also told me CareMount was sending patients there unnecessarily and didn't understand why. Some things they could handle on their own. It was an expensive day for me. Never again will deal with Caremount. read more
