Supposed to have 2 nd infusion Thursday. Again, they cant get an order for the required blood test faxed. They just dont bother to send the required orders to the labs doing the work. Their administration is the most useless bunch of paper handling, money seeking leeches i have ever encountered. And when they really mess up, they will not talk to you while repeating over and over how much they care about MY health. If you value your life, I suggest you run from them to any other facility. Edit. To be clear, the person to person staff was very caring. I dont have any issues from the actual care i received from the nursing staff. They have no more control over the system than I do. My issue is TOTALLY WITH ADMINISTRATION. THE PROBLEMS ARRISE BECAUSE THEY RREFUSE TO HIRE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO DO THE WORK, apparently relying on the new magic internet and paiient portals to save them. read more

Everyone is very professional and cordial at the Dyson Cancer Center. You expect that from the Doctors. This is helpful for the patient and family. I like to mention the rest of the staff: From the free car valet service, to the front desk staff, John and Nicole in scheduling who make future appointments a breeze; I have no complaints. I have been having my mammograms done at the Dyson Center for five years. Every person with whom I have come into contact has been extremely kind, compassionate, efficient, and beyond helpful. This morning I traveled 45 minutes for my test and had forgotten my prescription. The receptionist/Intake woman could not have been nicer and more helpful. She was able to reach my doctors office after multiple attempts and get my test done. The woman who performs the mammogram is extremely nice and efficient. The facility is beautiful, clean, and parking is not an issue.I am so happy that I changed to this center from my prior provider. It is well worth the trip! read more

Every person I have come in contact with at the Dyson Center has been extremely kind, caring and compassionate. I would recommend this center wholeheartedly~particularly my surgeon, Dr. Angela Keleher. I did not feel any anxiety going into surgery as she gave me the feeling that I was in good and competent hands. Dr. Keleher is not just a skilled doctor, but she has just the right balance of understanding, confidence and love. I feel very fortunate to have been able to be a patient in such capable hands. (Background: There are some great people who work at this cancer center, and my review should not be reflected on them, or deter you from continuing quality treatment if you are already getting it. I am only comparing this cancer center to a second opinion cancer center we went with. We have a very specific cancer case, so if your case is more cut and dry, I'm sure Dyson would be sufficient). My review is centered around our personal experience with this center, and the negative aspect it had on our emotional well-being. My mother was a patient at this center not too long ago. She didn't have a cut-and-dry diagnosis, and went through a lot of different tests to figure out how to treat it. The staff did everything they could to finally come to a diagnosis, and we are grateful for the thoroughness, but it seemed like they were fishing for something more treatable than what it actually was. During this period of time, there were also multiple issues that came up. Her pain management had become a problem, and often she would ask for pain medicine to help deal with it. The center would approve this, but would not follow up with the medicine actually getting to the pharmacy- this would cause us to routinely follow up with the pharmacy and the center to make sure the medicine got there. Again, this would put stress on my mother who would have to make these phone calls, worried that she should run out of medicine before her next prescription was filled. More importantly though, was the lack of bed side manner her oncologist had with her. I don't want to name the oncologist specifically as I'm sure he/she has helped many people, but if he/she is reading this, then PLEASE improve this in the future. On the day we finally found out about her diagnosis, they kept us waiting in a room by ourselves for over 30 mins, watching the clock tick, the whole family in a nervous wreck. When the oncologist came in, they told her that it was unfortunate but it was very bad (stage IV). The oncologist sat on the opposite side of the room just staring at a computer. We then asked what's next, the oncologist said we could do chemotherapy or hospice. We asked what were the chemo options. Oncologist said a harder one or a lighter one, it was up to us (no detail on the types of chemo offered, the side effect, nothing). When asked how long the chemo would last, he/she responded, 'until you can't take it anymore'. Then, the oncologist wrote some pain medicine prescriptions (that ended up not being approved before sent to the pharmacy, so we had to wait the weekend to get it), and left the room. The oncologist did say we should get a second opinion, and we did. We went to Memorial Sloan Kettering, which is one of the best cancer research hospitals in the world. We were lucky enough to get an appointment right away. The difference here is night and day. The oncologists here were able to give us detailed information related to my mother's case. They told us why we should go with one chemotherapy over the other, based on empirical research studies done. They reviewed the pathology slides and found that my mother actually has a much rarer form of cancer than initially thought, and prescribed her a treatment plan that is specific to her case. They also gave us a plan of attack, 18 weeks of chemo, and then reassess to see if we should go into immunotherapy or clinical trials (they actually told us the chemo that the oncologist at Dyson recommended would not have good for my mother in her specific case). While they were realistic in explaining to us everything given the cancer stage, they showed us that there was no reason to give up hope. We finally felt taken care of. At Dyson, in that room, it felt like the oncologist had just given up on us. Now, I'm sure the oncologist at Dyson is very good at his/her job, but part of that job is being there for the patient. If someone wanted to help cure cancer but not interact with patients, or not show any kind of bed side manner, then become a researcher in the field and help out that way. Sitting with the patient, and explaining to them their diagnosis is such an IMPORTANT part of the job, if not the most important. It just seemed like he/she wanted to get out of that room as quick as possible. Our new oncologist is someone my mother can trust. All I can say from this experience is, if you feel like you are not being properly taken care of, head over to a large research cancer center like Memorial Sloan Kettering if you are close. They have specialists in each field that deal with unique and rare conditions every day. An oncologist that is seeing a case for the first time might give up hope, while someone who has seen this before could provide you with a detailed plan, and instill the hope you need during this turbulent time. read more

I began treatment at the Dyson center in January 2015. From an overworked office staff to an uncaring nursing staff to inept doctors this was a totally nightmarish experience. At a time when you need support the most there was none. We went elsewhere after a month. I strongly urge you to stay away. read more

I have been going to the Dyson Infusion Center off and on for 4 years first for my GBS and now for my CIDP I have IVIG treatments every three weeks over these four years I have meet the best nurses in the hospital I could name the ones that have been there for me but I don't want to leave out some of the new staff that has come in as of late but I would like to thank Coleen ,and JO JO also Wendy who have been there since my start I have to tell everyone that there are days when I am to weak and tired to make my appointment and they will call me on my phone to make sure that I AM OK my own doctors don't do that they are all like family to me and I know I bust there chops sometimes but its all in fun last but not least I need to also thank every other nurse in the dept along with the two beautiful woman at the front desk and also the new aid that has come aboard I thank you all for your care your support and your kindness you all have made my painful trip these years so much easier if your doctor tells you this is where you have to go trust me I know you will get the best care right here they are truly the best at what they do thank you all Leslie Curtis read more
