The only reason they got 1 star is because I had to click something in order to do the review. I took my mom in. We got there at 9am and there are 5 people in the waiting room already. Two girls behind the desk. The first girl behind the desk told us no need to leave , they'll be calling her back in a few minutes. That few minutes turned into two(2) hours while we watched 18 people (Yes I counted) come in and within 5 minutes or less were taken to the back. I go up twice to inquire as to how much longer my mom's wait would be. That's when the girl volunteered to tell me that ALL those other people were online checkins. We were sitting in the chairs directly in front of the front desk so I Know for a fact that ONLY 7 of those people were online check in. Both girls behind the counter were playing and giggling and slipped up and said my mom's last name(not common) looked at us and said, "oops I forgot to put her chart up there for the doctors." I was looking at them/listening the whole time...they both ran to the back. 30 minutes later we finally get called for a room and had to wait another hour for the doctor to come in. 30 more minutes for the xray technician to come get my mom. The xray was the fastest thing they did as it only took 5 minutes including the time to walk there and back (my mom was there for her hip) This place is very slow to say the least. The girls up front are very unprofessional!!!! If you have a choice and your insurance allows (in network) PLEASE go somewhere else for your urgent care needs. I've been here several times in the past few years and received nothing but highly competent and professional care. This last visit (in the middle of the season when everyone seems to have a cold or the flu) I called for an appointment after work and was told that the wait time was 4 hours but they would still see me at 10pm even though that is after hours. I decided I'd make it through the night and got an early am appointment, checked in online and was seen on time. Dr. Nguyen was just great. She had me tested, scripts done, and out the door very quickly. The waiting room is always tidy and clean. The staff are always very professional. I do recommend you call or check in online if you can, though. read more

I came in to do a drug test. Most places, this is a 10 minute process. Jus show ID and go in the restroom. There were 4 people ahead of me, but the fact that I have just watched the whole movie Tooth Fairy in the lobby and still waiting is beyond me. read more

I would not recommend anyone come to this location. Horrible customer service. I never even received treatment. I did a web check in, maybe shortly before 6pm. I received a phone call maybe 10-15 minutes later, and I proceeded to give the receptionist the required information. I specifically asked if I needed to go ahead and come in now (roughly 6:20ish by this time) and she told me no, that I would receive a phone call around 8pm because there was a 5 hour wait. I ended the phone call and continued to wait. At 8:40pm I received a phone call with a voicemail saying to come in. (I was washing my hands, called back at 8:42, and confirmed I was on my way. I receive a phone call asking if I would be there by 9pm because they close. (I was in route, told her I was 5-10 minutes away, but explained that "you just called me to come in") I get to this location, door locked, nurse mouthing through the door that I cannot be seen but I told her I was just on the phone with you! Unprofessional with continuing to mouth to me I cannot be seen, never opened the door to explain or apologize, then walked away and turn the lights off in the front. Oh, and not to mention she told me on the phone that there would be a 2 hour wait once I got there. The amount of frustration I have with these African American women is beyond words. I will never come to this location again and I am putting in a higher complaint against them due to their poor customer service & unprofessionalism. All I needed was an ear flush due to some allergy issues I'm having. Please don't go to this location! Save yourself the headache of having to deal with these ladies. read more

I did not receive any antibiotics for my viral infection and each day I was feeling worse and barely able to stay awake. I seem to be getting weaker. Someone called me this morning with the results of my COVID-19 test results and I reminded her of the antibiotics. She stated that she was going to check with the doctor and call me right back. 6 hours later I decided to follow up because now I'm having chest pains when I inhale. Taylor at the Wheatland and I-20 office decided that she wanted to argue with me about the conversation that took place this morning. I tried explaining that the call this morning was a reminder but the Rx's were written on 12/8/20. She was so focused on arguing with me that she wasn't listening to what was being said. I am not sure why she would think that it's ok to argue with patients but this behavior is unacceptable.I had to tell her several times that I will not sit on the phone arguing with her. I requested the number to corporate and she stated before she gives me the number she is going to say one more thing. She proceeded to argue some more. I had to cut her off to remind her that I will not be arguing. This was my first time at the Wheatland office and from my experience, everyone that I have come in contact with expect for Dr Chew have been extremely rude. read more

This has got to be the most ghetto, inconsiderate, unprofessional, health establishment I've ever been to. I walk in and the girl at the desk turns around and says there is a 3 hour wait. Not, how can I help you, or what are you coming in for. I came in with my sick 1 year old and explained to her what his symptoms were. Instead of giving me paperwork to fill out she gets up and walks away! She needs to be fired. Normally when I come in I have the best experience with the nicest, kindest, inviting women at the front desk. This girl in here does not need to be working in the medical field at all! I have received nothing but amazing service from any of the CareNow locations, but this one is probably the best at timing Web Checkin and when to arrive so I'm not sitting long. I ONLY use them when I need care and can't get in to see my PCP. They are also the best at the follow-up calls; if they don't hear from me, they continue to call back until I answer. read more

Waited over three hours to pee in a cup. The lab tech was extremely unprofessional and did not care that we waited so long. Over ten people who came in after us were seen and left. Manager was not in and no one beyond front staff available to help. Was told three times we were next and still were not called. Horrendous experience. My husband came here to take a drug test for employment. He arrived at 1:30 and didn't leave until after 5pm. Three groups of ppl came in after him. They were all taken in before him. About 4:30 I asked how much longer & the large Caucasian male said about 3 hours. I asked how is that possible? He said there are just others in front of him. My husband is African American. There was another African American male who was made to wait like my husband. Those others that came in, that were seen & left? Caucasian ppl. It took my husband to raise a fuss and ask for a manager before he was called to the back by someone in the back who heard him fussing. It should not have taken all of that but it did because the male at the desk was going to continue to let him sit there for however long. This was clearly a racist act. That drug test took all of 2 minutes but we were made to wait 3.5 hours because the Caucasian ppl were serviced first. This is completely unacceptable. That male needs to be addressed and disciplined. We've also informed the company that sent him there of the type of treatment people of color experience there. Hopefully they will find another place to use for testing. read more

The audio machine was broken so we had to come back today. After 2 1/2 hours, we are STILL waiting for this test. Over an hour ago, I asked how much longer? The receptionist said 45 minutes. 2 stars because I believe in medicine and I'm sure they do great medicine here. My experience without seeing a doctor, wasn't so great. Read the reviews, felt confident I should go here at first. I'm a work Comp case, last reviewer mentioned work Comp. Went to ER in Dallas twice since my injury, on their website they listed Care Now for local (this hospital is local to home) urgent care needs so I assumed they would share electronic files like every other hospital I know does as their "sister hospital". Online check-in was simple and encouraging, said a call back within 20mins to discuss place in line, told me Work Comp needed me in to sign papers. I was in the parking lot so I figured great! Nope... walk in and said "hey we just got off the phone about my walk in, I have work Comp. I'm here to fill out paperwork". One receptionist remembered convo after looking confused, other woman looked at me weird and told the other receptionist they don't accept work Comp, I need to go to my own doctor. I was confused. I called my work Comp case manager before I went to them and the nurse recommended I go to a urgent care ASAP ... back spams, numbness, tingling. Is urgent care and the ER that different? Why was I being turned away?? I walked out and told them I will call my work Comp Doctor... I did and my doctor told me to go to the ER instead because he couldn't see me til Monday plus they will have supplies to help me ASAP. I went to Texas Health ER in Desoto, See their review for what happened (they got a 5 star). Do not go here if work Comp hasn't sent you here. Do not go here if you want aid or guidance while your seriously injured!! I'm originally from California, spent some time in Colorado, Texas Health Care has been different but I am hopeful to find good quality care here. My lesson, do not allow anyone or anything in your way of getting good care. You deserve it! read more

Wow.....its a shame that in order for you to get quality service you have to.leave south dallas. I checked in at 6:00 pm for a workmans comp claim. I was discouraged by the members of the staff from the onset...First thing that was told to me is ....Sir you are 22 people behind....you can leave and we will call you...but I have to call and authorize your treatment...which will take a while....then at 8:30 they callad and said there is 4 hour wait. I am a customer service specialist by trade and I will never enter this facility again....this is the worst!!! read more

Go here at your OWN-RISK I couldn't get in to my dermatologist or primary care doctor right away, so I decided to go to a Care Now since they are in-network with my insurance. I read the reviews but still decided to take a chance. BIG MISTAKE!!. I signed in at 12 pm and wasn't seen until 3:45 p. The wait time was horrible, but more importantly, they do not seem to take hygiene very SERIOUSLY. I observed that Dr Pierre did not wash his hand before or after the exam and the same with his nurse, Deanna who came in to administer a shot, ..WHAT??? And they wonder why there waiting room is filled with sick people. After being there for over 3 1/2 hours I just wanted to get out of there. When it was time to check out I had to contend with Brittany D stopping the checkout process to gossip with Brittany T about a co-worker or a patient, I'm not sure which, but it was very unprofessional.. After I shared my experience with other people, they said they would have never gone to CareNow. I only wished I had known that before going to them. They may not all be like this one, but I would avoid this location at all cost! read more

I will never visit this location again! I did an online web check in BEFORE the clinic opened, which I've done many times before. I received a call from staff a little after the clinic opened and was told there was an 1 1/2-2 hour wait & that staff would call me when it was time for us to come in. My daughter was having sever ear pain & was finally getting sleep which I didn't mind the wait. 2 hours later, a staff member calls me & proceeds to ask me if I had an 8am appointment & I clarify to her that I did a web check in & was told to that wait until they were ready for us. She stated that we should've been at the clinic waiting and not at home. I then told her that I was doing what was told by staff & which I've done before, wait at home until they're ready for us. With an attitude, she then asked me "so do you still want to be seen?!" I tell her well yes, my daughter is in pain & I've been waiting for your call. I was livid so I called back to complain and as I'm speaking to staff, she's apologizing for the nurses actions and said that she'd talk to her about hurting my feelings. Ummm what??!! Hurting my feelings?? That's not why I'm calling! Their staff needs to attend some customer service training ASAP! read more

Some of the nurses over the phone are rude when they speak to you. The lady called and I told her the person who was appointed for had already left and was. The lady was giving me a little bit of an attitude telling me "well we haven't called yet" and some other words basically telling me that the person shouldn't have left to go there yet. We saw Dr. Thomas Chiu , MD at CareNow - DFW - I-20 and Wheatland. We came on a Sunday and checked in through the web-in was told over the phone that it was a 2 1/2 hour wait. We were called in an hour later to come in. When we got there the front staff was very friendly got checked in was roomed after waiting 10 minutes in the lobby. The nurse was very nice and the doctor was in after 8 minutes later. Dr.Chiu was great made me feel that he cared about my son and did take the time to check him. He answered my questions and spoke in a way that I could understand he explained my sons medications and after care instructions. We were in and out which I really liked I left a very satisfied customer! I have been here a few times and every visit has been awesome! Thank you guys!! read more

Even though I have a primary care physician I now have a new location that is close, clean, and convenient! I have been to care.now and receive the most amazing CARE not just from the doctors( which i LOVE)but from the staff as well! Everyone goes above and beyond to make me AND my family walk out feeling as if we have won the Lotto because we have never been treated so well!! I HATE hospitals and having to see the doctors. So, the point of having a PPO is no matter where you are in state out of state in network out of network you can see a doctor no matter where you are. Why, this office has no clue about PPO and states they do not take BCBS PPO my plan. I said ma'am if you are not contracted that makes you out of network therefore I possible pay a little more out of pocket. She just keep saying they don't take the plan. Call insurance company they tell this idiot the same thing that it would be out of network benefits and she still insisted on not accepting. And that's why I'm certain so many people especially in this area do not get insurance because of idiots like this not knowing how insurance works and businesses like this move into areas were people have limited choices, therefore they are stuck paying $130 or more for medical care. Do not come to this office with or without insurance they want your cash money not an insurance policy.
