Omkay, so I was there mid July 2026 for a DOT physical -I was there for bout 4 hours yall and lemme explain. . I waited in the lobby maybe 25,30 mins. after my check in. Then, I got my BP and weight and Vision tests done. NOw, what took 4 hours -- YALLLLLLL ... I was under soooooooo soooo sooo much anxiety (over a guy) that it literally affected my health. BP was extremely HIGH (sys 175+/Dia 110+) so the doc had to give me a conditional pass (3 month restriction on DOT) but thank God I passed the physical part. What took me 4 hours was, because of the high anxiety and stress (over this man) my body refused to produce urine. I could not "GO" for NOTHING. Drank 2 bottles of water, also 1 full glass of water, watched youtube "GOTTA PEE" videos, watched water fountains and still NO PEE. So I had to go back 4 days later. So, my visit was 4 hours the first day and the young ladies really was trying to help me get the urine part done but my body just said NOPE. So, relationship stuff and outside stuff can really effect our health. I think the staff there THAT DAY were pretty good with me. I had to stay calm anyway! OH, and they have a term for me - for people who cant peepee -- SB - SHY BLADDER -- Ithink thats what its called. read more

CareNow should be called We Don't Care, Now or Ever! Truly the worst experience ever. I drove to Dallas for my annual physical with my primary care physician. When he took my blood pressure, it was quite elevated: 175/75. My doctor said I should go to urgent care for medication to lower the BP. Unfortunately for me, the nearest place was CareNow on Midway Road. I walked in at 4:30 and explained I needed medication for high blood pressure. The receptionist had her nose in a book and seemed very inconvenienced to have to check in a patient. She was extremely rude and barely spoke two words to me. When I got to an exam room, the aid took my blood pressure. It was 189/99- a very serious hypertensive emergency! But the aid was not alarmed. He informed me that they did not have any medication for lowering BP. (Although he was quite ready to administer a shot for pain. This seems to be their "catch all" treatment for people who walk in. I told him "no thanks." He did offer to call in a prescription for me. He also said that I couldn't leave until I saw the Doctor. I sat in the exam room for nearly an hour. ( I had been fasting ahead of my physical for a full blood panel with my primary doctor.) It's nearly 6pm by now and I have not eaten in over 24 hours. So, I stepped out of the exam room to see if I could leave since I needed food and there was nothing they could do for me anyway. I saw the aid just sitting at his station. Beyond him, I saw the doctor just sitting at her desk. GRRR! With a BP of 189/99, she should have been in to see me immediately to tell me I needed to get to the ER. So, I left to get food and realized I was not informed as to which pharmacy they called for my prescription. I tried calling them several times and each time my call was disconnected. So, I went back there. New receptionist this time, but even more rude than the last one. She looked me up on the computer and snapped at me, "You walked out! So, we didn't call it in." I couldn't believe it. At that point, I searched for the nearest ER and went to Advance ER on Inwood Drive. They were amazing! They took excellent care of me. I got the medication I desperately needed and they kept me there to monitor me until I was out of the danger zone. I am shocked and very angry at the lack of care at CareNow. They should be sued for criminal negligence and the entire staff should be fired. I could have died and nobody there cared. read more

Great staff...starting when you walk in the door (especially if Khori is at the front desk...she is friendly, helpful and puts you right at ease!!). I had to go for a work-related injury, and Khori walked me through everything! The doctors and other staff were awesome, as well! I was there for high blood pressure issue on Jan. 6th. Also had some chest pain. I had to wait a while because my appointment was around 6:45pm. They got me in at like 7:15pm and the experience was excellent. I know ppl give them a hard time in the office because these days ppl are not nice but these ladies were amazing. My wife could not believe how gracious they were. Had pressure check and CAT scan and they walked my wife and me on next steps. Did not leave out til close to 9pm but I was confident I was taken care of. To the front desk, and the nurse and doctor who saw me. Thank You! read more

Extremely RUDE and CONDESCENDING receptionist was very unhelpful and discourteous. They wanted to charge me $180 where I have always paid $50 copay and absolutely NOTHING has changed in my insurance policy. They had access to my CONFIDENTIAL information on my insurance policy which is a gross violation of confidentiality. They were telling me how much of out of pocket I have used, the total amount of out of pocket deductible remaining. They have NO business having access to that information. The receptionists were trying to tell me like I am an idiot who doesn't understand insurance policies. My insurance has a copayment of $75 ONLY for a visit to a specialist's office; specialist like a pulmonologist or a cardiologist or a urologist. This receptionist blurted out that if I take away the specialist's copayment of $75, then I will be billed by CareNow. Why would you charge a copayment at an urgent care center to be seen by a regular doctor or worse, a physician's assistant or a nurse practitioner which is usually the case at such money grabbing places. This location was THE most horrible experience I ever had at any urgent care facility including the CareNow on 14K block on Preston and Beltline. I am NEVER, ever returning to this place. I will be filing a formal complaint against them with my insurance carrier as well as state and federal authorities. read more

I checked in online cool appointment time was for 11:06 got there at 10:40. don't get called back until 12:40 then the nurse stated i should be seen in 20 min. 1:15 comes around I ask the lady when I was going to be seen. ended up leaving at 2 without ever seeing the nurse again or doctor. read more

Was told 5-7 daya to get lab results on possible spider bite. It took a good 10+ days and then to find out it was inconclusive. Also, one of the forms i filled out asked if i wanted to keep my card on file and I said no just to see that they ran it 6 weeks later without any authorization saying they could. read more

I would like to file a formal complaint against my services received. Immediately upon entry, I paid my copay and seen the doctor. The office was out of strep tests and throat cultures test to my surprise which is what I was told I needed however, was not able to receive. Another complaint is there was a balance due on my account. The statement provided via mail requested the final due date of 1/1/2025. To my surprise, this payment was AUTOMATICALLY withdrawn from my account on 12/16/2024. This is before the due date, that was sent to me. I immediately called to rectify the situation because I did not authorize any payments to this organization. I am very disappointed with the service I received and also the payments withdrawn from my account with out my consent. read more

This is for the Care Now off of I20/ Wheatland in Dallas,Tx I came there in the late part of April 2025 for extreme coughing. I notice the first thing entering the building is that you have staff sitting behind the counter with no mask on. I was not sure was what was going on with me but I masked up to protect others. I gentleman before me stated he was not well and coughing a lot and no Care Now Staff masked up. Was seen by doctor #1 who had no mask on and treated me and. stated if I did not feel better to call back in after 10 days. 10 days past and I called to have. doctor give me a call and the representative from Care Now took my information about me not feeling better and told me they would give my information to my doctor and the doctor will call me before the end of the day. Now I called approximately about 10 am. 8 pm that evening no call. No call the next day, so I had to call them. They tell me the doctor said for me to come back in. I said you told me to expect a call back and second how would I know to to come in and no communication? The response was they see the doctor notes. Came in and saw another doctor where she was masked up but again that front counter do not wear a darn mask. Given different antibiotics and the same thing, if I feel bad after 10 days call back. Once again I called and notified them about my symptoms and they said the doctor will call me. Well this time I waited. 11 days and no call from Care Now. Not even a follow up to see how I am doing. Care Now respond please to the protocol if a patient is still having the same symptoms do the doctors supposed to call the patient back at at the end of the day? Next why the front counter do staff does not wear a mask with so many sick people coming in and out the building? Why some doctors wear masks? read more

I had an allergic reaction in the morning and decided to schedule an appointment. After getting a call that I could come to the clinic, I told her that I had a an allergic reaction. I figured they would help me figure out what caused it. It was $200 of a waste. All they told me was it was unknown. I told them that I had it on my body as well. The doctor didn't even bother to check. Just looked at my face and said I don't know how you normally look like. I proceeded to tell him what parts of my face were an allergic reaction. And he had no idea or gave any good suggestions. All he prescribed was Benadryl. Which I already took and had with me. I wanted to know the cause of it. If they couldn't run any tests, I wish they would have told me. Instead they made me waste time and money. Do not recommend going here, some of the staff are not knowledgeable. read more

I came in after throwing up and my stomach having the feeling of it turning inside out. Front staff was diligent and made sure i was taken care of while I set up an appointment online. The nurse was quick with Questions in order to get the doctor in as soon as possible. Then, Dr. Chu provided some of the best explanations of my symptoms and reasonings behind the next steps that should be taken. By the end of the day, the pain had subsided. Overall Dr. Chu and his team at Care Now showed great perspicacity in the field they work in. read more

So i sit around and everybody leaves & I'm still the only one here then another rush comes and the employee Mary Johnson finally asks me to resend her an email she says she never received so the times is now 11:01am and the second rush is almost done and i still haven't been seen. If I didn't have to piss for the ua i'd piss on carenow's name. My whole morning has been tied up because of their incompetence, i was supposed to go to the local in Cedar Hill but was turned away because they didn't have a piss collection tech. I went in because I needed a doctor to sign a document for my dentist verifying that I could have a dental procedure done. My general doctor was out on vacation and I had already been having trouble getting an appointment with him. I was thinking of just going to the hospital but my mom suggested I go here. I caved in and went. This was a big mistake. I was charged $75 for one visit and asked to come in for results to tests. I was thinking the doctor would sign off on the paperwork but her refused because he doesn't know my medical record. When I explained the situation, he said he would refer me to a doctor. After that, I arrived at the pharmacy and that's when I found out that one of the medications was for an infection despite telling the doctor that I was taking medication for a tooth infection. This was back in October and we're now in mid-January. Last night I came home to a bill of $300+ and it said that I had never made a payment. I was shocked because the nurses said I wouldn't owe anything to get my results. After the after doctor refused to sign my paperwork and assured me that a doctor would call me, I was prescribed medication and sent on my way. Basically I'm being charged all this money for going in to get my results and being prescribed medication that I already had from the dentist. The representative that answered my phone call keeps saying that the staff at CareNow told her I went in asking for medical help for something else and given injections. A dispute has been put in but will take weeks to go through. Why would a bill arrive 3 months later? Also, the doctor never called with the referral and they rarely answer the phone at this location or call back. read more

I'm here on a work injury, so they decided I need to go to a CareNow Doctor versus my primary physician. I was originally concerned, but not anymore. Dr. Chiu is great! He is compassionate and caring. His biggest strength as far as I'm concerned is that "he" actually listens to his patients and he is "top notch" at it. He is a great Doctor and I feel very comfortable under his treatment This office is always very busy, but I have never felt once like I was being rushed by him or his staff. And for those needs in the future that don't require my primary physician I would definitely come here again especially if I knew Dr. Chiu is on duty. I needed to update this review because I forgot to mention the front staff and the Nurses...they additionally need a big shout out for running a very busy office with people constantly coming and going and they always smile!!! This location is horrible. I came last Friday for a workman's comp claim and waited over 4 hours. When I told them where I worked, they acted like they didn't know what to do. They told me I could leave and they would call me. 2 hours later, I received a phone call to come check in and was given 30 minuets to make it back. I return in less than 10 minuets and it took another 45 minuets for someone to call me back. I injured my knee and was hoping around the entire time without anyone offering crutches or a wheelchair. I had to request a wheelchair when I was finally called to come back. Really? Now I'm currently waiting to check out after my follow up appointment. I arrived at 5:04 for a 5:30 APPOINTMENT and I'm still here. I wasn't called back until 5:50 and I sat in the room until 6:30. The doctor (or PA or whoever) finally came and asked if I was 1. In pain? 2. Ready to be released? He tapped my knee a few time and said I could wait in the waiting area to be called for check out. I'm still currently waiting to check out at 7pm. All I want to do is go home. My entire evening has been ruined. I won't complain too much though. There's another lady in here currently going off because he's been here since 2pm. I completed the Web Checkin online for my mother around 2pm for the 6pm time check in time. We showed at at 5:50. Around 6:10 I thought better call them to see if anything else needed. The office said they do not see my mother's name on their side, I would need to start the process over. I walked inside and talked to them and told them I followed their process. I even have a picture of the confirmation. They would not even look, said since not on their computer nothing they can do. I replied this is a CareNow issue, as a patient my did everything correctly. They turned my mom away which she needed medical attention, even though I had proof and did everything correctly. Punished for an issue on their end. read more

My overall experience at this care now location was satisfactory. The medical care staff was courteous and attentive. The lady who finalized my bill was also very friendly, despite my checking out very late at night and well past closing time. The wi-fi system was also of decent quality. The negative aspect of my visit included an extended wait ( I thought the crowd was moderate in number but the wait time far exceeded this factor). The extended wait is the reason why I gave 3 stars, and not 4 or 5 stars. read more

Horrible! The wait times are extremely long and followups or call backs aren't great either! My first time ever having the flu and my symptoms weren't getting better so I called and asked if there was anything stronger the doctor could provide and I was told that the nurse would call me back. Waited about 2-3 hours and no phone call so I called again and was then told that I would get a call back by 2pm that day (which was an hour away at that point) and no call back ever! I ended up calling again the next morning only for them to tell me there is nothing they can give me that is stronger than what they gave me and to come back in. Too bad this is the closest Urgent Care near me. I would rather travel to the MedSpring Urgent Care Location off Greenville Avenue than to deal with this anymore. read more
