Then, refused to return photography deposit "because he had to schedule a second shooter." He told us the second shooter would be his wife who lived on the property so that was BS as well. 1/10 would NOT recommend this place.

Gorgeous venue to attend, HOWEVER…read more.. the rain setting (indoor) ceremony only had about 20-30 seats. Many guests were forced upstairs without a view of the bride and groom. Bridal party had to balance on the stairs for the ceremony. Truly a shame that about half the guests had to stand, had a limited or no view of the ceremony. The bathroom is also weird. Same bathroom for men and woman. Woman's stall had a full door but the men's had a salon style door that did not close and had no privacy. Not everyone is comfortable with that. I'd love to attend an outdoor ceremony, but the weather is unpredictable. It may be beneficial if there was a large white event tent that can be used for the rain and other outdoor events.

Down a flight of stairs is a small lounge with a pool table, where they also had a photo booth set up. One special feature here was that the bride arrived at the ceremony in a beautiful white horse-drawn carriage provided by the farm. It was a really nice touch. Post ceremony, the carriage reappeared to take the bride and groom away for photos during cocktail hour. Another shining point was the food. On-site smoked meats... Wow. The chicken and roast beef were particular amazing. Not just good, but excellent. All of the sides were also tasty, and the dessert spread was pretty impressive as well. A few downsides: there is no AC in the main part of the barn, only in the bedroom suite areas for the wedding party prep. This was a September wedding, but happened to fall on a day with near-record high temps, so even with fans running, we were all pretty uncomfortable until the sun finally went down. Also, there was no sign of a full bar on the premises, nor fountain soda or beer on tap. Bottles only. But, considering that Henry Hill Farm is new on the wedding scene, maybe they plan on making these upgrades at a later date. Overall, this is a very nice venue on pretty grounds with very friendly staff, excellent service, amazing meats, and a fun country vibe. Tip for the ladies: opt for flats, wedges, or block heals... but leave the stilettos at home. The walkway from the parking lot and areas around the barn are gravel, which isn't so stiletto-friendly.

From the beginning, Shana and Olivia were upbeat, friendly and responsive! They made the process effortless and we knew we were in good hands, but on the day of our wedding THEY EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!! They worked fabulously with my amazing wedding planner, Kelly from The Main Event by Kelly to ensure our vision was BROUGHT TO LIFE! In our song, "Die a Happy Man" by Thomas Rhett he says "If I never get to see the Northern Lights I could Die a Happy Man." Therefore, our colors were green and blue to symbolize the Northern Lights. The venue was all inclusive we didn't have to worry about anything and included everything except a photo & music vendor which was a reason we choose it to make our lives easier. But there were a few hiccups on the actual day that I was NOT happy with. The day of my wedding the original bartender scheduled (1 bartender for 100 ppl) apparently got injured the day of. So they threw a brand new girl, who started that day on the bar and the bar was completely backed up and took forever to get drinks because she was new. My husband went to go ask if someone could help her out and no one ever came. The passed hors d'oeuvres only went to certain people, they completely ignored the people that sat in the booths. The hummus, crackers etc that was on the cocktail hour never had utensils put out until my mother had to say something. No one was around picking up glasses or plates so the tables were packed full. Cocktail hour was suppose to end at 7pm and everyone didn't end up going upstairs until 7:30pm so they cut 30 mins into my reception time. We choose prime rib as one of our entrees and half the people couldn't eat it because it was mooing and was completely raw that the whole plate was filled with a plate of blood which was gross. As for the dessert, we had the Italian assorted desserts that were included in our package and mini nothing Bundt cakes. They were thrown in corner on random trays not even displayed nice, I made a sign for it that wasn't there. No one knew it was there so more then half didn't even get dessert. After the wedding was over I returned that Wednesday to pick up my remaining items. I walk in and all my candles were still full of water and not packed up. The wedding coordinator Noura couldn't find half of my vases, the box they came in or the packaging along with my wicker basket. I have been trying to contact her about my personal items to see if she found them, and I haven't gotten 1 response back from her in over a week after multiple reach out. I finally just asked for a reimbursement of the loss of my personal items... again no response. Her communication is absolutely horrible. I've had to reach out to her boss n the past, due to the lack of communication from her) You would think they would want to make it right. But clearly don't care because they already got paid. I 100% would NOT recommend this place at all.

I have been here a few times and they had cool stuff that I loved, however nothing caught my eye this time around. They did sell homes but I couldn't find much. I had a good business relationship with the former ED, Susan Holland as I was there Relationship manager at the bank. Susan educated me about being green and using wooden windows rather than vinyl. In addition, I believe yelp had organized a historic tour for the elites.

(although located in the city, it's nestled in a peaceful area off the main roads.) They offer the most reasonable prices in the area. You can speak with their coordinator to adjust the package details to your needs. (our rental which included 5 hours of hall use AND an incredible bartender was a fraction of the cost compared to quotes from other locations) They have tons of available parking. (not having to deal with on-street parking was worth it in itself) They even have an outdoor seated lift to accommodate guests who have difficulty going up the stairs. (please note, there is no ramp for wheelchair access into the building at this time) All funds go directly to the club which hosts popular public events. We were searching for a local spot to accommodate a little gathering for a few hours where we could; bring in or cater our own food, play our own music, have access to indoor plumbing, and provide an intimate atmosphere without being crowded... It was hard to find this without paying more than our entire budget for the party itself. But thankfully we found the German-American Club of Albany! For a November baptism, we rented 1/2 of the hall which beautifully accommodated the 40+ attending guests, photo prop area, and large buffet set up. No regrets.
