Stew chicken, rice and beans, and nasty Mac & cheese

Food is nasty and has no taste. Doesn't taste like authentic Jamaican food. Barely had bean in my rice was over cooked and mushy. I would not recommend this to no one.

I really want to like this place, but 3 stars is being generous as it is. These aren't the warmest people ever, but they were pretty quick. I got the "lunch special", which is exactly 2 pieces of your choice of chicken on top of rice. The sauce was sweet and spicy, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I'd argue the rice was a little under-cooked. Overall, it was alright, but hardly worth $6 when, for $2 more, you can get another side and arguably more food with the normal platter? There's some heavy competition in the neighborhood, but if you're pressed for time and craving Caribbean food, I guess this will do the trick.

There are not many things that can make me stop mid-sentence and literally run across a busy street...except for a food truck sign with the words "$14 oxtail platters". My platter was everything I had hoped for. Super tender and flavorful oxtails, perfectly cooked cabbage, and cheesy baked macaroni and cheese. Portion is large enough to share but I won't be so get here and get your own!

Jerk chicken with rice and beans

I think this is the worst jerk chicken that I had and in additional the person making our food was not even paying attention to us when we placed the order and was busy on the phone. I never had a jerk chicken that taste like rotisserie chicken and if I did I think that would taste better than the jerk chicken here. We also ordered white rice and Mac n cheese but we got the rice with beans instead and that tasted bad as well. Paid $10 for some jerk chicken and wrong order and did not enjoy it one bit. Ate it half way and couldn't eat it anymore because of how it taste. Just going to take the lost. If you want some good jerk chicken, I would recommend Jamaican's D food truck and they taste super good and full of favors. Overall I would not get it from here ever again and it was a 0/5 for me honestly.

Great food! Owner is very nice. The food is freshly cooked daily! The portions are great. One of my favorite spots for jerk chicken.

Did truck move? It's gone, I wanted beef patties, wtf.

Not sure if they move around a lot but they're usually on Drexel's campus these days

It's reasonably priced - around $4 for a breakfast sandwich, and $6-7 for lunch items (pulled pork or meatball sandwiches, mango habanero chicken, etc). I approached the cart wanting a breakfast sandwich, but the guy told me they were out of eggs... so I then asked for a pulled pork sandwich, but they were out of that too! I decided to go with the mango habanero chicken, which was a rice platter that had chicken topped with mango habanero sauce, corn, peas, and bits of carrot and green beans. It was really delicious but a bit too spicy for me... luckily the guy offered me a free drink with my meal since he felt bad about being out of the things I wanted. I'd recommend it as a good place to grab lunch. Hopefully I will be able to try their out-of-stock items sometime! The quality of the food is that of a restaurant and not a lunch cart at all. The pulled pork tasted like it came right out of a Memphis BBQ restaurant. The guy working the truck told me he was also the owner and that he makes the food fresh everyday. Everything was under $10 so it was great to grab and go to bring back to the office. My only complaint was that he didn't have a soft pretzel to go perfectly with my sweet pulled pork sandwich. I am definitely making this a regular lunch spot for me and my co-workers in the city.
