As we were one of the last cruises of the year, this shop, as well as many others, had some great deals going on. Almost everything was marked down as they prepared to close for the season. My daughter begged for a Skagway hoodie... and I walked away with a Skagway shirt. It took a while because I'm picky and they had lots of great choices. They also have a good range of sizes for men and women. Perhaps they did for children too, but I wasn't looking for kids stuff. Staff was super friendly. This place had a lot of foot traffic. I have loved Del Sol for well over 20 years. Every vacation I buy shirts (& more) for family members, friends & myself. This store had the coolest black hoodie with a bear on it. The bear is in the sky designed to resemble the northern lights... it turns colors in the sun. It is awesome! If you buy 2 shirts you will receive a free color changing tote bag! These bags are great. I use them all of the time! They make a great souvenir or a gift! The T-shirt's are all made well & they will last forever! The variety of gifts you can find in this store is endless. Don't forget to pick up a color changing ring for the toddler in your life! We had contacted this thrift shop prior to coming to Alaska to make sure they would be open on the…read moreday we would be there, and they said they would. Even their website said they are open on Sunday. Imagine our disappointment when we paid the $10.00 fee to ride the bus into town only to find out they were closed. Their shop was the only one we were interested in seeing. Such a shame, when they could have easily posted on their website that they were going to be closed that day.

Limited open hours currently only three days a week but if they get more volunteers they can increase the days they're open. They have some free bins of stuff outside so if you come on a day they're closed and need something, you might get lucky and find what you need. I wish they had a drop off box for donations.

Legos, pokemon, coloring books, stuffies, board games, barbies, pet toys.... Like so much cool things. A Mr. Potato Head toy for $9.99. Scented fruit bubbles for $2.49 Deck of cards for just $4.65!! There were a few chairs inside the door (and possibly a couple outside as well) for the spouses that have little interest in perusing a crowded shop. It was cute.
