Friendly, professional, honest and hardworking. Really appreciated the upfront work they did on researching item values and setting good prices. They also proved their marketing skills, as our sale had a long line outside on Day 1. Also appreciated how they continued to move items around and highlight different items to help merchandise them over the two day sale. Ultimately, our net proceeds were much higher than expected and we owe this to the team at Action Estate Sales PGH. Our family is very happy we chose them for this project. We highly recommend them.

Twice I've taken a clearly marked item through the register and they've increased the price once I've stood in line and am ready to check out. Additionally, the items are always grossly overpriced so, even if they go half off, they're not worth the return trip. Yesterday was our final trip (Allison Park) to anything remotely linked to Action Estate Sales. They need a lesson in manners and common courtesy to patrons. Never again.

Three story house with Four bed, two bath, plus basement. He was good to his word. The job took two days, two forty foot bins, and 2 truckloads of donations. In addition a king size water bed (thanks for taking one for the team, but don't do that again). I wish I had taken photos of the crew. They were so helpful. We were so emotionally attached to my moms things. Bob and Crew were sympathetic and kind. Bob and team Help me and my family get through a rough time. ELS is not cheap. Very bad business practices and rude to boot. To preface, I create a list each week of sales that I…read morepost online on various social media platforms. I go almost every week to a sale or two, and like to take photos and videos of the stuff I find. I post some of those videos online and always give the liquidator credit, free advertising ya know? Fawn's sales used to always be at the top of my list, but that ship has sailed. She reached out to me directly and told me I was no longer welcome at her sales because of a video she found online that wasn't even mine. She explained that In the video, the person recording was heard disparaging the home and complaining about the prices. After consulting with a lawyer, she said it was a liability to allow me in. What was gross was how fake pleasant she was over the phone, patronising and condescending. Well it didn't stop there. She proceeded to reach out to every other reputable estate sale liquidator in the area, encouraging them to do the same. One followed suit, good riddance. Whats funny is, some time later, another liquidator approached me during one of their sales to say how ridiculous Fawn was being. This liquidator responded to Fawn's call by posting signs at their sales encouraging a social media presence and asking to be tagged in photos and videos. Needless to say I do not advertise Sydney B Moore sales on my list, and I wouldn't be caught dead at her sales.

I had always heard of people in my department saying that they would "check surplus" before…read morepurchasing things like office furniture elsewhere. I finally understand how and why when I took a field trip to surplus myself. Essentially, it's a warehouse of furniture, electronics, cars, antiques, and other random things like faux plants that are no longer in use by the university. Once removed from university grounds, they are taken to this warehouse in Point Breeze and sold for cheap or auctioned off to the general public or university personnel. When I went there, there were several types of chairs including theatre chairs, tables, and more. I recently bought a 19" Dell monitor for $25.00. I was told to just bring the monitor back if I had any issues and they'd just replace. The monitor works perfectly. Office chairs ranged from about $20-60. Larger items like old university cars are auctioned off. It's a really cool place and you'd be really surprised by what you find especially the price! Once I move into my new apartment, I plan to go back to surplus to see what I can find. Because why break the bank with all new furnishings?!?!

This is a great place to shop. They carry so many things. The sale prices are beyond amazing…read more Lowe's might sell a little cheaper but you're dealing with a big conglomerate who doesn't care about you compared to a neighbor owned store where employees will help find everything and you know you're supporting a local business. No self checkout to deal with. All of that matters to me.

Stanford Home Center in Plum, PA is our go to store! Not only do they have everything you need for…read moreyour home, but they do a lot for the community. The owner and staff members are friendly and helpful. They put on a great Christmas event for kids, bringing Santa in and letting the kids talk with him and get a photo. We love that this store is right down the road and we like to support locally owned businesses like Stanford.
