The food was truly amazing!! The zingers were hot and crispy, the poppers were to die for, and the wings were bursting with flavor!! The sauces that were included were great as well!! I've been to all of their locations in the boros and have to say that this location by far is my fave and always consistent in quality, service, portion and taste. My favorite are the chabibi eggrolls, spicy double beef burrito and the smoked brisket tacos. Their menu is expansive and so it's not hard for anyone to find something to their liking here. Eating in is a pleasant experience and they're also open late for a great take out option too. read more

I created a yelp account just to post a review for this location. Ridiculous policy of not taking orders unless a card is given over the phone. I left my card in my car and they REFUSED to take my order unless I went out in the rain TWICE- once to pay them and another to actually leave 15 minutes later to get my food. Complete joke for a restaurant. I've been going there for 7-8 years- stopped going because of the manager's disgusting temper and foul mouth but decided to give it another shot recently and literally got turned off again right away. They literally give you every reason to not order food from them. Then wonder why their sales have declined and no one orders from there like they used to. What a joke. read more

Went to purchase some items on January 11, 2024 for a family member. They had me wait for 35 minutes onsite. At that point, I asked if they had placed my order and they responded no, at which point I left. The toilet did not work; it was unable to be flushed and thus full. ok when you need the KOSHER meat ...this place serves of burritos and such. They have plenty of seats since they moved. It has a nice theme to it. its counter service pick up not wait staff but that is ok, though it can be choppy serving when you have a big order. so you sit and relax. No toilet seat in the men's room. Thank goodness I didn't need one. That alone warrants a one star. No cold water handle in the men's room. Only hot water. No paper towels or dryer of any kind in the bathroom. Why am I harping on the bathroom? Because it's indicative of the quality of the place. Had to search the place for a clean table. Everything in the place is greasy. I had Gabby's Favorite sandwich. It consisted of toasted bread, greasy but unflavored mushrooms and onions (maybe salt them, guys?), and some type of sliced meat. The meat was OK but the overall sandwich was flavorless without adding sauce. The fries were thin commercial fries and seemed to be unsalted. As a kid, I would have liked this place. I have been eating here for over 5 years and just love the variety and selection available. If I want wraps, sandwiches, a salad or burrito - they have it. The ambiance is laid back with a tex mex flair, you can be dressed casual or in a suit and you'll fit right in. I personally like salads and the Philly cheesesteak roll, but the best is the panini burger - they can't them any better. Really the best burger I've had in a while. Like any food service establishment they get slammed on weekends and I place a order for pickup, but lunch time you can spread out and enjoy a quieter atmosphere. read more

Three strikes...you're out! I ordered from this establishment several times in the past, and was never really enthralled with the food. Their food is mediocre at best, fairly overpriced, but kosher take out food is like that in general, and yeah I'm Jewish. Let's get straight to the point they're Mexican food is OK, but I would not recommend any of their deli sandwiches especially steak or turkey I found it to be really dry and tuff on more than one occasion. My latest order arrived and was disappointing - very unappetizing, both in appearance and taste. I'm not trying to be harsh, just honest. I felt as though I was eating someone's leftovers from last week, from the back of the refrigerator...and not in a good way. Dudes do you realize someone actually paid for this crap and wanted to eat it? Also, I specified that I needed plasticware, none was included, nor was there any ketchup for the fries, or any napkins. While we're at it, let's talk about the way the food was packaged, really sub par with no logos, or customized napkins or cups. Thanks for ruining my lunch C&G's! read more

Worst customer service i've ever heard while placing a phone order in my life. The lady on the phone was so incredibly cold and uninviting, her attitude was inexcusable and made me not even want to come pick up my order. The cauliflower we took to go was so soggy we could not even eat it: Overall the customer service foreshadowed our disappointing meal and don't believe people like that should be working in customer service. I love this place! I order it at least once a week! Amazing food for kids with an in-house ICEE machine! Totally recommend for families.

First of all, the prices on their website are "at least 2 or 3 years old," as Cashier Rob has told me. He attempted to charge me about $3-4 more (including tax) than what the bill should have been going by the prices on the website. After some deliberation, he reluctantly "honored" the price, but said it was a "one time thing" and that next time I would have to pay the increased price, despite the website (which I used for reference to make my order) still saying the lower prices. That aside, the food is mediocre, at best. The burger patties are barely seasoned and if you're looking for flavor, look elsewhere. The bun was pretty good, but it was made all soggy from whatever that sauce is that they put on it... And don't bother asking for your burgers to be cooked to any particular temperature, apparently they will just cook them to medium-well, anyway. I also asked for my fries to be cooked extra crispy, but they were mostly soggy and sad with only the slightest bit of crispiness on some of the tips. I definitely won't be going back, for the awful combination of service and quality. The only reason this place is even getting a second star is because they eventually did honor the "old" prices, and some of my coworkers do enjoy food from here. read more

Definitely my choice lunch location when I happen to be in the area. Carlos and Gabbys is a far cry from a Mexican restaurant, while they have some items on the menu, I was never too impressed with the quality. The real gem lies in their chicken and steak sandwiches. The bread they use is great, the portions are large and the free nachos with homemade salsa are a plus (thank God they got rid of those blue and red food colored chips) The lunch special says half a sandwich and fries but every time I have gone they gave me a full sandwich. Their menu is a bit large and can be confusing to first time customers, but overall a good cheap place to eat. I love Carlos and Gabby's! This is my office's favorite lunch spot and we usually order a ton of food. Service is great and loads of selections for the picky kosher eater. Mexican choices are not too shabby and the sandwiches they have are huge! Definitely try the nacho grande- it is to die for! Great for breakfast lunch, dinner, brunch, a funeral, a reunion, a birthday, a wake(they cater), a midnight snack, munchies, airplane, graduation, lunch meeting, dinner meeting, breakfast meeting(you guys know what I'm talking about), pre-game, post-game, holiday party, thanksgiving, kwanza, or a casual wedding. I am from a city where Mexican food is superb. I also lived in Texas. So I know Tex-mex. I have no clue what this is. The food is mediocre at best. The service is not great. It's sort of like super expensive fast food. You leave wishing you hadn't ever gone through the door. I wish they'd serve real Mexican food. SO BAD MANNERED WHAT A CHARACTER! i experienced him being very snappy with his employees and almost senile. second of all i had got an order of fries that were soggy and asked for a new order and he proceeded to go to the back and get me a new order of fries only for me to be let down! they were cold. this man is ridiculous. And on top of all that from the other few times i've been there he seems like a pervert, calling his young workers "hotties" and telling them to dress a certain way to work extremely gross. i can bet that those young girls had to be at most 16 years of age. this man has got to GO. 10/10 don't recommend this restaurant and their greasy tasteless food take your money elsewhere folks. read more

The food is great. No complaints there. My issue is the manager, Robbie. You'll never meet a ruder/nastier person in restaurant management than this clown. I've spent ten thousand dollars plus at this place, order from there every week and I've never once had a positive encounter with him. He's always nasty, always speaks to customers with a temper, has no manners or etiquette and has/will continue to cost this restaurant a ton of business. He's yelled at me for standing to the side and waiting for my order dozens of times, told me to my face I'm a waste of time and told the employees there not to waste their time and to take other orders when every employee there knows my order by heart. I've spoken to many people in the community who had similar experiences and his employees have never had a nice thing to say about him to me. The guy needs to go. He's a joke. read more

What a nightmare. I showed up for dinner with my 2 kids who enjoy the food and hot sauce selection. First, none of the tables were cleaned. I attempted to give my order to the manager who instructed me to give the order to a new cashier. I gave him a complete order and had him read it back. I tried to change part of the order and then all hell broke lose. Once I began to go through the order with the manager, I was told that I omitted 1/3 of my order, which I did. This increased my order by $12.00. Then when I asked where my fries were...I was told I needed to pay yet more money. Well, then I started to raise my voice, I got my fries. Did I mention all three meals were served separately? The poor cashier did not know what he was doing. The manager gives does not know the meaning of customer service, but my kids liked the food. Consistently rude. Once put meat in something I ordered vegetarian and was not sympathetic when I called to say something and asked me what they wanted them to do about it - uh, apologize?. Wasn't even looking for my money back, was just looking to inform them just to be more careful next time. This time, he complains we're on the phone too long. You're the one who puts me on hold when I'm in the middle of speaking! I could have placed the order in a minute, but I am allowed to ask questions about the food I'm ordering. THEY DO NOT DELIVER, DESPITE SAYING SO ON YELP! My fiancé and I were visiting the city and made an order through their website. I received an email confirming the order for delivery. I entered in our hotel address and everything. Spent over $60 and waited over an hour... No delivery. I called the restaurant and they told me they don't deliver on Tuesdays. When I explained that his website said differently, he asked where I was, (3 miles away) and said he didn't deliver THERE. Then offered to deliver it, for $40. We had no way of picking it up without taking a cab since we were simply visiting and this was a huge inconvenience. Since I wouldn't be getting the food I had ordered (and already paid for as they charged my card) I asked for a refund. He said he would refund it and asked me to hold only to hang up on me. I've called back only to be hung up on again!! No refund has been issued and we never got our food and the man I spoke to was incredibly unprofessional, yelled at me, called me names and said I was crazy, despite me having screen shots of their site saying they did deliver and the email confirmation for delivery. I will never order from them again and would highly recommend that no one else do business with these scam artists either!! read more

Definitely my "go to" place when I just don't know what I want. Great appetizers, especially the chicken zingers. I love the taste of their chicken wings but I can't deal with the little feathers. Why can't they be cleaned better? A more recent addition, the fried wontons, while not winning any AMA awards, is spicy & delicious. And EVERYTHING tastes better with the avocado ranch dressing. Their burgers are delicious. I really like the magic mushroom burger, though it's preparation is inconsistent, sometimes lots of sauce, sometimes almost none. I think they're best known for their sandwiches and wraps. The pollo del sol is my favorite and i have it in a whole wheat wrap. It's really out of this world! Their soups and salads are very popular, too. On the downside, it gets real loud when it's crowded. If you're craving C&G during peak time, you'd be better off calling for take-out. I don't recommend this place. It is aesthetically pleasing but upon a closer look, it was dirty. I know there is no waitressing staff but clean the tables and the counters. Everything was sticky and grimy. Upon our better judgment our party of 5 decided to stay and ordered different things from the menu (burritos, tacos, nachos, spicy fries, jalapeno poppers). Wonderful decor and very family friendly. I'm in love with the hot sauce options, and they have Louisiana brand. They've improved an tweaked their food over the years so give another try if it's been a couple years. A lot of the food is good BUT be aware it's their own concoctions 'tex-mex style'. If you've never eaten in a real Taquria, aren't from Texas, and don't know what a enchilada vs Tostada is go here. If you're in a flexible mood on your definition of those foods go for it. read more

The individuals of the counter very pleasant. The food however I had a lot to be desired. The buffalo wings were dry not much me and Frankly they were pathetic. The tacos all the ingredients except for the meat was great however tasted like it had been cooking since the early morning.
