This business is closed they should take it off the yelp. When it was open it was too loud and noisy and way too expense by the buck.

TLDR; Penny pinching in every way. Waste of time. Not great food. Poor service. Wouldn't go back. 1) Weak drinks. A Long Island iced tea made correctly can't possibly be weak. And people who drink order more. So why be cheap like that? 2) A small portion of cauliflower for that price? It's not an expensive vegetable. You can be a bit more generous. 3) Most egregious: I've never been a respectable sit-down restaurant that doesn't ask how the food is and would gladly take back any order which was reasonably not as expected. At Mur, we tried to ask them to cancel a main which had not even arrived yet and we were told we could not. That's bad enough. The reason why...? Answer: Because "no one else would order it." I asked "what's so horrible about the dish that no one else is ordering it!" - and explained that we definitely wouldn't want to eat something so bad that no one else orders it. They refused to cancel the food and charged the full over $40 for a small piece of salmon. Two stars because the food arrived quickly and wasn't terrible. read more

Not very promising. The menu was only 1/2 avail. no seafood, no chicken. was forced to order duck or steak. portions are small & priced VERY high. service was slow & could do large improvements. food taste wasn't to keen and left inconsistent when the same order was placed few minutes apart. improvements that can help would be to clean the grill, the off-taste from item to item on the same grill could be tasted off the duck to the loin eye. chef can do better with cooking medium/rare to medium/well.. careful with the drinks and dry ice (smoke-effect) causes some glasses to cracked while trying to enjoy the drink. read more

MuR nyc it's located in the five towns if you're looking for a kosher restaurant to celebrate or just grab dinner. The food was phenomenal and the ambience and atmosphere was really nice too. I love the energy and I had fun here. They play really great music too. If you're into Middle Eastern/Mediterranean style dinners then this is definitely the place for you. The one thing that really bothered me was that when I first walked in with my party of friends, the place smelled really really bad and they had the front door and the back door open to air out the place. The manager said it was because they just mopped, which means that the mop is filthy because it smells really really bad in there. Another thing that smelled really bad was the restroom. It smelled like urine I had to turn on the vent and open a window in the bathroom just to air it out. I was very nervous about eating at this place at first. Also, the service was not up to par as well. They kept on forgetting to bring things to the table or taking too long to bring things to the table. we had to ask for things to be brought over several times before we got what we wanted. Otherwise I'm going to keep the five stars on this restaurant because the food was great and I loved the music. read more

This is our fifth visit to the restaurant and it was incredible yet again. The Baloan lamb ribs are spectacular and the desserts are superb. Kudos to the owners for changing it up and keeping it fresh exciting and different every time we go!! read more

I really like the vibe in this place as soon as I walked in was greeted very nicely by the hostess. The service is extremely professional. food was delish !! if I can give this place 10starts I would probably do so - and on top of it all its KOSHER - def recommend this place - for those that are looking for a cool new place. Delicious delicious delicious. We tried every app and most mains and loved it all, including the artsy serving dishes. The turkey wrapped dates and rib fettuccine were out of this world. The decor is also special. The ceiling and walls in particular. Some curtains on the windows and tablecloths would add to the lux feel and removing some of the tables or reorganizing the floor plan so it's not as crowded. read more

Went there last night, food was great! Service was was great as well! We really enjoyed the Carmel Market Arayes as a starter.

Hands down, worst dining experience that I have ever had. We arrived at 8:40. Nobody came to take our order for 30 minutes. Appetizers came out cold- served by a busboy. Drinks came out after an additional 15 minutes- served by a different busboy. The MUR reservation cocktail was a mix of sugary syrup and sugar, almost no alcohol. We then sat without a waiter coming to check up on us for an additional hour. A different disgruntled waitress came to complain to us about her colleague who was incompetent. My burger came out half raw and half over done. I sent the burger back with our waiter. The disgruntled waitress then came back to trash our waiter some more. It is now 10:30. All I ate was 2 pieces of cold and chewy artichoke. The manager came over to our table to give my husband his phone number and offer us "good service" next time we come. I told him about our experience and he then began to tell me that it's a restaurant and these things happen. When I explained to him that in all of my life this has never happened to me, the manager then aggressively argued with me and explained how he worked in other kosher restaurants before, such as Reserve Cut and this is how it is. Aside from the fact that this service would never happen at Reserve Cut, is it assumed that because it is a kosher restaurant we should just expect awful service for overpriced food? At 10:45 I was still sitting without any food to eat. My husband stayed to pay the bill while I went across the street to get a delicious fresh roll of sushi from "Sushi Tokyo." read more

Been here 5 times. Service and food quality is very hit or miss. At its best, everything is excellent and at its worst you can walk out because they are short on wait staff who do not have time to give you the check. Every time we go the menu is different and not everything is available (a red flag according to Gordon Ramsay). Last time we went, they were offering a $400 gold flake steak (not grass fed or wagyu). Gold flake sheets cost anywhere from $8 to $200 for an entire pack of gold sheets according to google, so dont get fooled or impressed by it. Food sometimes comes out cold or extremely salty on the worst days. Also not enough chicken options. Beef options would be healthy if they were grass fed. The wait staff isnt very prepared and they come across as stupid and forgetful, even on their best days. Not going back to see what's happening with this place until spring (maybe) cuz last time we went they didnt turn the heat on in the middle of january, very inconsiderate of the owner. The owner was also dining that night with his guests and they were short staffed and he acted like it's not his fault that the food was coming out bad or things took too long. If youre short staffed you dont have to be open for business, and yes it's 100% your fault for bad service. read more
