It's kind of a mix between monkey bread and a muffin, soft, sticky, and packed with fresh blueberries and blackberries. So good. The blueberry almond croissant is also insane. Flaky, rich, and just done perfectly. Honestly, everything here is top tier. Their quiche is also very good if you're looking for something more savory. The staff is so friendly, and even when there's a line, it moves quickly which makes it easy to grab something without waiting too long. I ordered the seasonal latte with coconut syrup and oat milk, and it was delicious. The coconut flavor was subtle and complemented the espresso perfectly. I also tried the smoked salmon croissant. The croissant itself was flaky and flavorful, although I could have done without the poached egg, especially since it was served cold. The pastries were a highlight! The citrus tart was fantastic and reminded me of a key lime pie with its bright, tangy flavor and beautiful designs. I even brought a few pastries home, and they were just as enjoyable later. One of my favorite parts of the visit was enjoying breakfast on the patio while people watching in Kingfield. I also had no trouble finding free street parking right across from the patisserie, which was a nice bonus. You should definitely try it before you buy one (they do sell single slices) because not everybody likes it-- kind of a wet, spongy cake that is rich and sweet but very different from the dry, fluffy American style cakes that we are used to. They always look incredible with the ripe glazed fruit on top and are delicious to eat. I also really like this location because you can see the bakers at work. Once I saw the owner frosting a wedding cake and once I saw him decorating a few tres leches cakes at one time. Had to sample the pumpkin and key lime. I get pie all over the cities so in comparison the pieces are smaller here. The taste was all there on both. They sprinkle coffee beans around the edge of the pumpkin. He told me that you have to order a whole pie a week in advance so they know if they have that one or not. It appears they really like to mix it up and offer seasonal ones. I like how you can order pie crusts year round. I bet these would even be good in a quiche. Now that I think of it, I have had the pastries at Nina's and really enjoyed them.
