    Chocolate drizzle waffle with fruit

Hole in the wall place tucked away on Central Avenue. Loved all the desserts here - definitely a great place if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth! I tried several items here - Pistachio Chimney Cake, lotus biscoff kanafeh, pistachio crepe, and waffle with fruit and chocolate sauce. We also had a small baklava bite and Turkish coffee. All the desserts were so delicious, creamy, and sweet ! The ice cream in the Chimney Cake had great flavor too. My favorite items were the chimney cake crepe, and baklava. The Turkish coffee was very strong for my taste but I'm usually not a fan of black coffee overall. I think next time I'll have to try the iced lattes. Service was good - the staff member gave some suggestions and gave me a heads up of how long some items would take. I liked that we got a warning since the crepe took about 20 mins but it was sooo worth the wait. The napkins are small and utensils are kind of flimsy so they are hard to use to cut more dense items like the waffle or chimney cake, but they worked to cut the crepe. I would bring some Wet Ones / larger napkins since there isn't a sink available for customer use and eating the desserts can get a bit messy.

Stopped by Chimney House after dinner with a friend since we were in the area and craving something desserty. We've seen this place all over Instagram and TikTok for sometime, so we were pretty excited to finally try it. We did come about 45 minutes before closing, which may have impacted the experience a bit, but overall the entire experience felt a little weird in my opinion. It felt like they were closed, yet open. When we walked in, no one was in the store then he came walking through the front door. After looking at the menu and having a tiny conversation with him, we ordered the chocolate chimney cake with chocolate ice cream, and the pistachio chimney cake with vanilla ice cream. Something we also noticed was gloves were worn, but he also using a cellphone while making our order.....eeeekkkk! I really tried my hardest to not think about it and just do my best to enjoy the chimney cake, but I couldn't help it. Review on chimney cake....Both were... just okay. It tasted kinda burnt (the pastry) and my icecream was a bit freezer burnt. Not terrible, but not something I'd go out of my way for again, especially given the prices. I wasn't wow'd. The customer service also felt pretty transactional which I thought the overall vibe of the entire experience was like that. Glad I tried it once, but it's probably a one-and-done for me.

I had a craving for something sweet and remembered seeing this store on Instagram. They are open pretty late, store is nice and bright. Sweet desserts laid out on the counter when you enter. I ordered the chimney cake to try. They also offer waffles, crepes, coffees, and slushy.

We always see this place when visiting Hazel's across the street and think we should come back…read moreacross the street at dinner time. So glad we did. We came for an anniversary dinner and chose to be seated at the bar that overlooked the kitchen. I know I've said before, but I love this look into the kitchen, watching everything being cooked, seeing all the orders, it's just so fun. We started with cocktails and the Silesian dumplings. Both were excellent. Hubs got the duck two ways and I got the duck burger for our meals. I told him we couldn't go to a place that specializes in duck and not get duck. Both dishes were perfect. The duck confit sauce was delicious and the burger was out of this world. We couldn't turn down a couple of paczeks for dessert too. Service was great and sitting next to the kitchen, got to talk to some of the cooks as well. Overall, great experience at Black Duck.

American Polish and Mexican fusion. An interesting combination, but actually quite tasty…read more Our waitress was punctual and friendly, even though she was attending to another large group behind us, and the ambience at the chefs counter was very controlled and well expedited on a busy Friday night. The exterior is a little unassuming with the patio kind of looks like a family style restaurant but inside it's upscale dark and gold modern chic. THE FOOD Pierogis - 5/5 so pillowy Doused in a butter sauce, delicious potato goodness. A little steep for $19 for 4 pieces, but definitely a highlight of the night. Silesian pierogis - 5/5 the Parmesan leek sauce was a great compliment to the almost mochi, textured potato dumplings. Definitely different than the normal pierogies, but in my opinion, the sauce really stood out for this dish and was well balanced with the pickled cabbage. Pork dish 4/5 - the pork was cooked PERFECTLY, nice char on the outside with a juicy inside, not dry by any means. The sauerkraut plus the mustard sauce was a perfect bite. However, I do feel the mustard sauce is quite overpowering at times so if you don't like mustard do not get this. It does look like a large portion, but I did eat all of it with a little bit of help. I do wish there was some sort of starch on the plate, but better portioning the most pork chops restaurants that I have had. Flat iron steak 3/5 - I was most looking forward to this one after seeing it on Instagram however, the dish somewhat fell short for $40. The steak was cooked beautifully, and the potato pavee was exciting since this is quite rare where to find in the Twin Cities restaurant scene. There was not much sauce on this dish. The small bit of sauce provided, being quite buttery and did not add much to the flavor. The potato pavees were very crispy and a nice inside texture but for me a little bit oversalted, but there was just nowhere to go in the dish for sauce/punchy flavor. I wish there was an aioli/chimichurri to go with the potato pavee and some other type of seasoning like a Mexican seasoning on the potatoes. It's seems the entrees were not very vegetable forward however I feel like for $40 the pork and the steak could have used maybe a few pieces of brussels sprouts or asparagus to balance out their richness. Overall, a very lovely experience. I feel like anything on their menu is worth a try. The waitress mentioned that they do have rotating seasonal items. You won't be disappointed!

Stopped by on a lovely Sunday for some lunch and ice cream…read more No parking at the location, you have to park in the neighborhood near by. Walking in it is a bit small. But the customer service was amazing and lucky for us the food came out so fast. I got a cheeseburger. It was a little salty, I would have loved some tomatoes and lettuce but it was good. The bread was fab. I hubby loved the hotdog and the French fries were fresh! We got a great little table out front in the shade. I will say it is right on a road, so I was a bit nervous with my daughter, but it all worked out. After eating we got ice cream. I cannot tell you how incredible the young man at the counter was trying to help my girl pick a flavor. Awesome staff. Good food.
