Such a nice winery. I love all the little details they have around this place like the corkscrew door handles and the corks in the tables. We stopped by on a Saturday and isn't too packed. Lots of places to sit. We ordered a 4th of July themed drink called Strawberry Sparkler. It was a nice fruity drink. You order with the cashier then they give you a little recipe card that you take to the other end of the bar for some else to make. They have a really nice gift shop to checkout while you wait. Overall super cute winery. They have a brewery, pizza place as well & another bar on the patio. All the places had different names but all on the same land.

This is a really fun place to go if you're in the Alexandria area. Wine is pretty good, and for Minnesota wine, I'd say it's very good! Just know you're not exactly in wine country. The flights are amazing and I highly recommend the guided flight since you can choose 4 and then get a souvenir glass. The service is great and attentive. The setting is beautiful and very picturesque. I'll certainly be back!

Loved our time at the winery! A few friends and I all tried the wine flight! The ladies working the bar were very helpful and guided us through some great options! Their outdoor patio area is beautiful! They even had live music which was an added bonus! Would love to come back to try more of their wide variety of wines!

Great place for our group to spend the day and experience! Bruce was very informative and so patient with our First Wines Club!

Carlos Creek holds a special place in our hearts. We visited back in May over Mother's Day weekend. They had live music inside and open seating outside. We've watched it transform over the years, and we make sure to visit whenever we're in Alexandria. There's something special about sitting in Adirondack chairs around a fire pit with a glass of wine in hand. We've tried several types of wine, and the sangria is a new favorite. For those who prefer beer over wine - there is also a brewery on the property, so everyone can have what they prefer. If you visit in early September, you can join their annual grape stomp celebration!

I had an absolutely wonderful time here! We went in the winter, so most everything outside was closed, but we'll definitely be back in the summer to enjoy everything they have to offer! Even in the winter the grounds were still pretty though! I did a wine tasting of five wines that I got to choose. The team working behind the bar was incredibly fun, knowledgeable, and they were not shy to share their opinions on the wine, which I loved. I really enjoyed all five of the wines I selected and even bought three bottles! I purchased a bottle of the Wobegon White, Hot Dish Red, and Blueberry. Highly recommend all three of those. The winery itself was super spacious and featured an enormous selection of wine. They also had a ton of merch and really cute trinkets/gifts you could purchase. We sat at a table and enjoyed the live music, which really set a relaxing mood for the entire space. It was a touch loud, but not too loud. My only complaint is that the parking lot was relatively far away from the winery itself, but not too far. I could see it being hard for older customers to walk that distance though, especially when it's super icy.

Stopped by during vacation at the lake house and I was blown away. My partner and a few friends were the first few people in and the staff were all so kind explaining everything to us. We got 3 flights to try out and we found a number of wine and cider that we enjoyed. The best part was the wood fire pizza that was next door. All of the pizza was spectacular! There's also a brewery another door over but we didn't try that. We then went on a wine tour and that was so much fun to see the vineyard and the space. Bruce, our tour guide was amazing! There's plenty of outside space to sit, live music and a few games to play with friends. Highly recommend for anyone coming through.

Great spot to check out if you're in the area or passing through! The wines were great and the outdoor scenery was so pleasant. They also had a brewery on property too, so if you would prefer beer over wine there were plenty of options! The wait staff so friendly, they came around frequently to clear our tables. There was also a food truck when we went, which is great to have as an option in case you're hungry. We struggled a little to find a parking spot, but for the most part people made their own spots in the parking lot lol overall would recommend stopping by!

So many wines!

Absolutely loved my trip to Carlos Creek Winery! Came here in late summer and it was still absolutely gorgeous! The winery is huge and there's plenty of seating and parking. The Saturday afternoon we came it was really packed though so we did have to wait a few minutes for something to open up! There was also live music and a lot to explore. I ordered the MN Nice Wines flight. Their wine flights are a great deal and come with a souvenir glass! It was called MN Nice Wines because it included Minnescato, Wobegon, You Betcha Blush, and Hot Dish Red! I loved the Minnescato so much and liked the bottle design, I decided to grab one on the way out! I've also purchased it at liquor stores since then too! Can't wait to come back to Carlos Creek!

What a beautiful setting for this fantastic find. Located on a scenic piece of property that offers so much for so many. Not just a winery; it's also a brewery, a pizza place, gift shop and an event center; oh, and they have live music as well. They also have grape-stomping at harvest. The wine-tasting was specialized and led by the service-staff that was well versed on the specific wines. This is a must-stop if you're in the area!

We enjoyed this winery! I have seen the moose labeled wines around the MN wine sections at many liquor stores, but had never tried them. There is really something for everyone here. They even have a brewery next door and a cute gift shop inside. If you check in with Yelp app, you get a free sample of wine. (1 per person). My hubby and I shared a flight and each got an extra free sample each. A flight of 5 samples is $11, but we got 7! Sweet deal. We ended up really liking and ended up purchasing 3 bottles. They have a few wines that are only available at Carlos Creek. Of course our favorite (Frontenac Gris) was one of them! We don't make it up by Alexandria often. We also purchased the white Zinfandel (reminded us of another MN winery favorite that stopped making one like this) and the Ruby Port. (These 2 were also only available at CC). We had some nice conversations with the staff and overall a great time. We will be back to buy more wine one day. Also, what a gorgeous space for a wedding! They have their own event hall and saw an event happening while we were there.

Great place to enjoy some local beer, music and wine . We ordered the pretzel . Great flavor being cooked wildfire . Definitely a place to check out in Alexandria.

Outdoor area

Wine, beer, food, live entertainment with indoor and outdoor seating. Busy little place on summer weekends. Plenty of outdoor seating and enough shade provided. Something to drink for everyone. Snacks available. A food truck has been there the last couple summers we went. Once it's cooler there is definitely less indoor space so may have to think about planning before arriving around busier times. Been multiple times and always a positive experience. We will keep going back.

Pizza was cold when it reached the table, wine was ok. Atmosphere was very country, not impresive.

Visiting from Montana. House red wine was great! The atmosphere had a nice cozy and friendly vibe,…read moreespecially since the owner came to our table and offered us a tour. Very impressed with the customer service, owner who is very personable and of course the wine. Definitely recommend!

I'm truly sorry about the low rating, but I'm so pissed off after stopping at the winery today…read more Even though there was no event on the back patio, the owners had decided that the patio would be closed because it was "too hot and the air quality wasn't too good." We've been stopping at Dennis Drummond for years (in the summer only) and never had this problem in the past, although once we were told that they didn't want the staff going out to wait on us on the patio (no problem, since we grabbed our wine, glasses, and pretzels inside, paid for everything, and we didn't need anyone to wait on us). First, today's air quality was better than it has been earlier in the week (wildfires in Canada caused very smoky conditions for the previous two days). Second, we noticed two people sitting at a table outside in FRONT of the establishment--was the heat and air quality any better in front than in back? Third, in Minnesota, many of us LIVE for warm weather when we don't have to wear coats, boots, hats, etc. Fourth, this is a resort area, and we don't know of any other establishments with outdoor seating that won't allow patrons to sit outdoors, a fact we proved when we stopped at two other places after our disappointing stop at Dennis Drummond. Fifth, this place has NEVER been very busy when we've stopped there--can they really afford to turn away local business, or do they rely on people renting the place for events like weddings? For those of you familiar with the Brainerd Lakes area, can you imagine Ernie's, Zorbaz (both on Gull Lake), or Moonlight Bay (on Crosslake) refusing to allow guests to sit outdoors in the summer? That would NEVER happen. We had a gift certificate we were going to use, but now I don't know when we would ever use it. I'm still so mad I could spit.
