On my last visit I got a balayage, toner, cut and style by the owner Malina who did such a phenomenal job on my hair that I can't stop staring at it 24/7. Just take a look at the photos I've attached for visual proof. The ladies at Gamme understand what it takes to make a salon experience fantastic - they take their time to get it right and make sure your hair stays healthy after the treatments so you stay looking fabulous between appointments. I can't say enough good things about this place... It is run but an ambitious, dedicated, inspiring lady boss (Malina) who has a hardcore loyal clientele (no wonder!) and is in my opinion a visionary and avant-garde leader for the Montreal hair scene. If you feel that $70 (+tip!) warrants customer service that goes above and beyond and offers flexibility to your 9-5 working schedule **without charging a "no-show" fee after you call to say you're late and get the answering machine** then you might want to look elsewhere. Booking an appointment was easy and a smooth process. They booked me in for the time slot I was free and told me I would get Sacha. Got there for my haircut and met Sacha. We discussed the photos I had saved and the look I was going for at length and he was very patient and responsive! We agreed on a style and he gave me exactly the same look I was going for!!! I was very nervous, as my hair is complicated to cut. I have always had very thick, curly and long hair and was worried going in, but he promised that was his favourite type to cut. Clearly that's true because he did a great job!! Took his time with the cut, gave me a great blow dry and then straightened my hair!!
