This facility is has everything any golfer could want or need. The selection of clubs, clothing, balls, bags, and so much more will keep you busy for hours. What I like best is the range to test your equipment before you buy. I was lucky to work with Bradly Dolski. Bradly did a good job of making suggestions on clubs and supplying me with complimentary balls to try out my clubs on the range. The selection of clubs seemed endless but I found the set I liked and my son found his club choice as well. The prices are reasonable and you can get your some clubs adjusted to your swing style. Great service and amazing selection of everything golf will keep me coming back. Give Carls a chance and you'll be happy you did. read more

She has made the game much more enjoyable now. She is very patient in her lessons and makes sure you understand what she is showing you. Came into Carl's today to get my putter worked on, there was something loose in the shaft of it and I wanted it removed. initially I took it up to the counter and spoke to the same gentlemen that regripped my putter the week prior and explained to him my issue. He took my putter and just tapped the head on the ground a few times and got whatever was in there stuck. So now I'm upset cause I could have done that at home and it was not the resolution I had driven up there for. BUT while leaving (visibly not happy) another employee (i think it's Jake maybe Jared I'm horrible with names) stopped me on my way out and asked me what was up. He immediately went to work helping me with my concerns and that's where my experience turned around. Him and another man (I think he was the manager) took my club and did what I originally wanted and took my grip off and went looking for the previously mentioned debris. But it didn't stop there, they explained to me what they thought was happening and even fixed the problem and regripped my putter at no cost which was so nice of them! I'd like to thank them for going above and beyond to make sure I left there happy. They made a customer for life out of me right there. Thanks so much guys! Hope you see this! read more

95% of the people that are parking outside The store are walking over to Doyle's bar at St. John's and there's nowhere to park if you want to go to the driving range or go buy some clothes or some clubs. Very nice golf course. Generally a good facility. It's neat that it once was a Catholic seminary, and was able to be repurposed. The chapel is a neat place to pray and a unique setup. Worth visiting and good value. Stop in. read more

Needed new shoes for my husband and I and my husband needed a new driver. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and my only complaint with staff is we had to wait quite a while after trying the clubs to get the drivers license back. It was pretty busy as it was Friday evening. Some of the items (clothing) was pretty expensive and the selection was limited, for women. For a higher end store, they layout was not great and to me was not attractive. I have worked in retail before and I think the displays need some work. It seemed jumbled together and if I was looking for something specific, for example, gloves, I wouldn't have intuitively found them. The had a great selection of shoes and clubs and we were able to find what we needed. read more

I came here for my sons 9th birthday, I thought with being trapped in the house for so long and COVID keeping us in. All this little boy has done is virtual schooling, video games and played with legos. So I thought why not a set of golf clubs and lessons.... mommy needs a golf buddy this summer... what better way to get outside, exercise and bond. Today I visited Carl's to get my 5 wood re-gripped and buy some 4 inch tees. In less than 10 minutes I was in and out. Amazing!

The store is very small with limited section of golf gear, but if you want to hit the driving range steer clear from this place. The driving ranges bays were closed and we had to hit off of the grass and if you like hitting from divots and dirt then this is the place for you. After waiting for 10 minutes to get a spot we had to hit from spots that were full of divots and the app to track your balls wasn't even working. Horrible driving range and store! read more

I bought two nice polo shirts here and they turned out to be one size too big. When I came back in to do an exchange Liz could not have been more helpful. She exchanged one of the shirts but one didn't have my size. Liz located one at the other location and had it here in no time. This has turned out to be such an enjoyable golf course, I go back time and again. The fairways are a bit narrow, so make sure you hit it straight. It is a course where you rarely see the other golfers and the scenery is beautiful. I played there last week (just before Halloween). The greens were still true and nice. My biggest disappointment was that the restaurant closed in September. I recommend it for a quiet, yet challenging golf outing. read more

I once lived in Redford, MI and would frequently visit Carl's and either purchased something or hit some balls at there magnificent practice facility. I recently moved to Texas and needed a T300 gap wedge to complete my set of irons. Titleist indicated that it could take up-to 3 to 4 weeks and the PGA Superstore stated the same. I ordered the wedge from Carl's on Aug. 16 and it arrived on Aug 18 in time for by round on Saturday. I previously thought you guys were amazing now I feel that you guys are "Phenomenal" in my book. Their knowledgeable staff is a great resource for novice golfers like me, and they will let you try out the clubs on their driving range. They also have a large selection of golf shoes for men & women. Be sure to check out the sale racks for great deals on last year's apparel & shoe fashions. Besides the retail store and driving range, they offer golf lessons. I took the beginner class two years ago which really helped my game...writing this makes me think I could use a refresher! Saw titliest 4plus bag pga store but decided to order from Carl's golf land website. The bag arrives and the strap that came with it was incorrect. Contacted customer service they explain 2021 version came with new straps. They were amazing enough to contact titliest and get the right strap I wanted. Few days later I got the strap I wanted. This is an extension of the best golf shoppe in the Detroit area. Their main branch is on Telegraph. You get a good selection of all the current golf supplies and clothing and shoes on the market. Had a great customer service experience here. After managing to damage a brand new driver while using it for the first time, I called Callaway to see about getting it replaced. They told me that Carl's would be able to swap it out much faster than if I sent it back to Callaway in the mail. So I drove to Carl's, the the gentleman helping me out (Mike), thought the damage was borderline to what Callaway would cover under warranty. I was a little bummed out, but he said he'd check in the back to see if they even had any more of the club in stock (I am a lefty). A few minutes later, he came back out and handed me a brand new club with no more questions asked. Totally made my day! Will definitely purchase from Carl's again. read more

Carls is by far the nicest golf shop in Michigan. Their practice facilities are top notch, and there is plenty of room to spread out and practice chipping, putting, sand shots, plus the range. Inside they have the biggest selection of clubs, bags and clothes I have ever seen. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Carls for any golfer from beginner to advanced and everyone in between. The only negative I can say is the parking lot is to small and can be a challenge on a nice weather day. read more

The store is clean, organized, and they have a huge selection of clubs, apparel, shoes, bags, rain gear, etc. The range is grass (except when it rains or it's winter - then the tee area is covered and heated). I've raised my 3 children and I now have more time to myself. The team at Carl's has always been great. I decided to write this review because of my last experience. I had some issues with a couple of clubs I bought and I called Carl's thinking that they would not be willing to do anything for me. I was pleasantly surprised. I dealt with a manager by the name of Tom North. Love this guy. He was exceptional in the service he provided me. He also went out of his way to satisfy me. I was 21 when this place opened, and I still dont get good service. seems they work on commission and well if I look young therefore I dont have money. I walked around for 20 minutes looking for a driver a few years back andno one helped me. But when older people walk in they pounce like you are at Art Van,. they are the Art Van of golf. read more

Terrible service, smart ass remarks from staff, poor club work, and terrible supplies to be a golf shop. They are a joke, they don't have a shaft puller, no shaft offerings, limited clubs in stock, and they try to down right rip you off. Will never go there again and I do not reccomend them to anyone. Go to golf tech in novi or miles of golf in Ypsilanti, they will treat you right and have the proper equipment to fit you to your golf clubs. read more

Go see Ed at the Plymouth store! You won't be disappointed. Just did a driver fitting with him. He was knowledgeable, professional and accommodating (he spent two hours working with me). Walked out with a driver that I never would've tried (Nike Vapor) but it felt great and Ed used Trackman analytics to show me how much better that driver performed with my swing.
