This year I started trying to golf. Well as one would expect I was terrible. I went out quite a few times and couldn't really hit the ball very well. Someone I know asked if I wanted to go to a driving lesson. It was only a couple hours and it was affordable so I went. I literally learned how to hit the ball with my driver in that one class. I was so impressed with how much I learned that I paid for two more women's lessons. I'm good enough now that I'm actually going to sign up for a real lesson. Amazing!!! Took a one hour lesson with video session and learned A LOT! Dan was able to diagnose my main problem(s) and offer advice and drills to help improve my game. I shot my lowest round of the year a week after my first lesson. I've since gone back for additional lessons for short game, and again - learned many helpful drills to cut a few strokes per 9. Dan took the time to diagnose my swing and make gentle corrections to it, to bring it back in line, so my shots went straight! I've sliced miserable about my whole life... to see it go straight was just incredible. Dan provided me different exercises to practice which will straighten out my trouble areas. Even after making a terrible shot (hosel rocket) on the tee, he was able to break down what happen without condescension. I know I'm not a great player, but his positive attitude about improving my game just shows how passionate he is about helping people get more from their time on the driving range/course. Started playing golf last year and Dan just took it to the next level. As one who never likes classes or being told what to do, Dan was very helpful, insightful and knowledgeable and an all around excellent teacher. Very patient and explains techniques in a way that make sense to a beginner with little knowledge of the sport, and then are easily turned to practice that make me feel like a pro (or at least look like I know what I'm doing, which now I do). In one lesson I've already improved my long drive and chip game. Can't wait to learn more. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn or improve their skills! read more

Just bought new irons and I was having a hard time hitting them straight and consistantly. I've been a golfer for more than a decade and have had some very good rounds. After I switched over I felt as if I took 5 steps backwards and it was very frustrating. After going to one lesson with Dan he helped me figure out how to hit them even longer and straighter and what I can work on at home to teach my body the right ways to move my hips. I will definitely be going back to work on other parts of my game. Highly recommend to anyone who is wanting to improve there golf shot. read more

I can't recommend Lock Golf Academy enough. Very professional and helpful. In only a few 30 minute sessions, Dan Lock helped me completely reform my swing and improve my game. He was the first person able to get me to slow down my swing. They have quite a few different lesson packages, so something for everyone. Had my first lesson with Dan. He work hard to fix the part of my game that I wanted him to work on. He used video recording to show me what I was doing wrong, and then show me drills to fix. Dan spent 15 minutes over the hour I paid for. read more

I have only had one lesson in my golf career and it was at Lock Golf Academy. Last summer before I met with Dan I was consistently shooting 97 and up (just hoping to break 100). After working through some kinks in my swing, I can now say that I am consistently shooting 90 and below. Dan has shaved 7 strokes off of my game.
