This dynamic is welcomed to most people because they get to socialize and buy more then just fresh fruits and veggies. The only thing I am critical about is the organization of the booth space that allows the flow of people in better safety and comfort. I assume there was some store front push back that wanted 100% of there sidewalk available and clear surfing the market but what that has done has jammed too many people in what is obviously a "narrow space" to walk. It would be a fair and SAFE compromise to use 50% of the sidewalks on each side and adjust back the venders booths giving people 5 feet more in the middle to walk around. It would be easier to do this rather then assume or ask people to not stand around creating bottlenecks or be considerate of others and move like a car on a road. Expect to drive around for parking if you are not local enough to walk to the event and crowding due to the popular area it is in, live music, fresh foods and drinks as well as plenty of unique crafts and clothing.

Tons of booths of various artists and companies, a ton of swag, and an entire area for just food! Parking is a bit of a pain if you show up later in the day, but there is a bus that will take you for the far reaches of the area, which is where we ended up parking. It was a nice day though, so we did enjoy the long walk. One of the things i enjoy about these types of festivals is meeting new people. There usually aren't enough tables for everyone to eat so sharing a table is very common. You almost always meet someone with a great story or life to share, or they might think you're that person with the great story or life to share. So don't be afraid to have someone join you and start up a conversation. It's all part of the fun.

It's super easy to get there on the sprinter- don't even bother trying to drive down there and find parking. It's a total madhouse. There's something for everyone here. Crafts, jewelry, even a psychic reader.... A lot of people confuse this with the Farmer's Market- that's on Thursday morning. I haven't been there in years! This is called Sunset Market because it's in the evening! We've been there so many times that we know where out favorite food stands are. My oldest son loves the birria mac and cheese tacos while my youngest son loves a certain french fry stand. My partner and I love finding new food stands and trying them. They're often overlooked...and that's a shame! There's a fun kiddo area if you're bringing little ones- I've seen bounce houses there. Pro-tip- there's a line of portable restrooms by the kid bounce house section. There's also live music with local bands and a few high tops there. They go very quickly. Lots of people just grab a seat on the curb and eat. Every year, it get more and more crowded- people, strollers, dogs...it's nearly impossible to walk down certain food heavy streets to see what's down there. So, we try to time our trips to arrive as soon as the market starts and then leave when the crowds really start flowing in. And every year, it gets more and more expensive...so be prepared. Cash is king there, unless you don't mind paying service fees on credit cards and even venmo).

I was surprised when I saw carnival rides for those who may dare. I have to say, I really enjoyed myself. The locals were very friendly and high spirits. All the vendor were very cool, except for a few pushy ones trying to promote their products. I say many people buying clothes, sweets, and some jewelery. I focused on the food vendors. We came early so there was plenty of parking still, but it can be hard navigating with all of the people trying to get in and out. Next time I think I will park in the church and take the shuttle bus and see if that is better. I like that this Renaissance Fair is big but not too big. Sometimes too big can get overwhelming, and you don't get to see everything. This one is a really good size and there are a lot of things to see and do, and tons of vendors. I will say a lot of the booths were very expensive for their Wares. However I don't have much to compare it to, so this may be standard for Renaissance Fair merchants and goods. I will say I have seen some very beautiful items, some of which definitely look like they have put a lot of work into. There were several places inside for food, and surprisingly the prices weren't extremely terrible, and the food was pretty good. I had Carnitas fries, and fried zucchini, both of which were pretty good. I loved seeing everyone dressed up, and putting so much effort into these elaborate costumes. There are activities and entertainment as well. The actors really get into character, and we got to see the procession with the queen in tow. Since it was my first time I didn't do a lot of the activities, but they did have some games, archery, Etc. We did stop inside the Beer Garden, which had some entertainment that was very funny. It definitely was more adult-oriented in there, which makes sense. They had people singing funny songs, and they held two contests while we were there, one for the men and one for the women. We were there for several hours, and if you do a lot of the activities I could see you easily spending the whole day here. It's a lot of walking so we're comfortable shoes. I enjoyed myself, and think I would do this again, as be participate in more of the activities.

If you attend enough events here you get a lay of the land and learn what there is to do.. We don't go for the games, food or rides. There is something here for everyone.
