That said, it still feels like a gathering spot for many unhoused individuals. I understand public libraries are meant to be welcoming community spaces, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that, but it does make me a little hesitant to bring my kids here. Today was an exception because they completed the summer reading challenge and earned free fair tickets. The children's area is a huge positive. It's separated from the main library, feels safe, and the staff working there during our visit were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, because of its location, you'll still occasionally see people walking through from the main library. Parking is another challenge. No matter what time I've visited during the week, finding a spot has always been difficult. The front desk staff came across as less welcoming than I'd hoped, while the children's staff completely made up for it with their excellent customer service. I'm a strong supporter of public libraries and the resources they provide to the community. My rating reflects the value of those services rather than the behavior of other patrons or the customer service experience alone. Despite a few drawbacks, I'm grateful our community has access to a resource like this.

Being harsh, and always wants everything to be perfect. She stresses out students and makes students lives more exhausting than they need to be. She'll make students late to lunch almost everyday cause we aren't being 'quiet' enough. If the line isn't perfect, or someone whispers, someone maybe even steps too loud, we get sent back to the classroom. The latest Ive been late to lunch was 15 minutes, leaving only 5 minutes left for lunch. The aces name is Ms. Delacruz. Only 2 breaks throughout the day. My last year at springs wasn't good either, I got harassed at this school for 3 straight months, my teachers, and principal was aware of it all, plus my parent went in with me to the school to talk to the principle about it. Nothing was done. Non stop bullying, and I felt alone. Faculty does nothing to help students. Don't send your kids to springs.

My son has been tutored at Mathnasium of Oceanside North for over a year now. He enjoys the tutoring sessions and we have seen wonderful progress during this time. The manager, John, is helpful and responsive. The tutors are patient and instruct in ways the kids understand. The owner, Nita, is very personable and involved in her business, so we see her there often. We have been very happy with them and highly recommend!

I went to Mathnasium and she got a free assessment to see where she was struggling. I signed her up and it has helped her and given her so much more confidence in math. She actually enjoys going and likes her tutors very much. Her grades on homework and tests have improved so much. The director Nita is very accommodating to homework help and studying for a test. She also checks in and asks how things are going to make sure everything is going ok with her school work. With COVID and online school schedules she has also been very accommodating. The hilltop location is the pride of all the schools in the city. Oceanside High may have the beach down the street, but this is the best. With a open field park behind and 7 foot basketball courts I always felt this place less of a prison feel than most schools. I had so many memories of this place growing up, my entire youth basically. I definitely spent more time here than the average kid because of after school basketball. First fight, first kiss, first time doing illegal substances (relax, this was in the summertime and just me and my friends, nothing to do with school) I absolutely had the best teachers around, many of which i still keep in contact with 20+ years later. If your reading this you are probably looking to place your kids here and the game has changed so much there are probably better resources to decide with. Bounce it, bounce it. Whether you need help with your research (see a librarian), help with writing a paper (see the writing center), help with your math homework (see the math learning center), or help with any other class (see the tutoring and academic support center), you can WALK RIGHT IN and get HELP!!!!! Between the 2 floors of the fairly new building are hundreds of computers including giant iMacs!!!! The computers are loaded with so much software, it's no wonder they don't EXPLODE! Seriously, they have the Adobe CS5 software on every single computer. Tell me what other college around hooks you up like that!!!!

They remodeled the reference desk and moved it to a different spot. It looks so modern now! I think the rest of the project was behind the scenes because everything else looks the same.
