My dog had peed on a throw rug.. so while I was at it, I wanted my stairs freshened up. The guy gave me quotes.. which was fine. But when he got here he added extra for this, extra for that. The price doubled! 3 days later the rug begun to smell again, even though I had blocked off that room. The stairs? came out really bad (maybe even worse than they were).. I left a message for the guy and just didn't want to hear his bull. Cleaning an 8x10 rug cost me more than the rug itself. I could have gotten a new one. I was scheduled for a carpet re stretching and cleaning at 8:30 am today. It took a LOT of preparation. Nobody showed up. I made many calls to company and owner's cell. No response until 10:00 at which time I was told their truck was broken and they wouldn't be able to provide service for A WEEK! My whole house is ready including having to empty a large china cabinet! I suspect they just failed to schedule my appointment (it was arranged 2 weeks ago) as the person I talked to was out of town at the time. I notice there are no reviews since 10 months ago. I just had the carpeting and rugs cleaned. This is the 4th time I have utilized the services of Carlson Carpet. Mark Carlson hires family who are invested in quality work. Each time I am please as punch with the unmitigated value. After my mother in law moved out of the back house I needed to clean the carpeting. I was worried I would not be able to relieve the carpeting of the smell and markings left by five years of accidents by two small, old dogs. Mark did the job and did it well. The carpeting is a cream-oatmeal and looked new again. He cleaned a few area rugs and was done. The price was fair and he did not try to sell me on upgrading the work like all these fly by night companies. Then a few weeks later, I received a thank you card that he had signed letting me know he appreciated our business. I called him again when I was ready to have the rest of the house cleaned. Mark was available that week. There is one piece of furniture that couldn't be moved by my request. He cleaned all around and underneath it, leaving no halos of dust around the legs of the piece and no chemicals on the legs of the furniture! My carpeting looks incredible. He also used a Teflon spray like they do when the carpet was manufactured to protect against future stains, which was an added cost we had discussed before hand. My biggest surprise relates to a stain I made about 30 years ago when I moved in. I had some friends over, sitting on the floor of the den, because I didn't have furniture yet. I spilled a bottle of red wine that left a stain larger than a dinner plate. I have had many cleanings since then and the stain has lingered until now. I keep waiting for it to pop up again, but it is gone. I get an allergic response to chemicals, both cleaning and perfumes. There are no chemical smells. It smells clean and fresh. We had all the area rugs cleaned again. Mark charges much less then the dry cleaners. As before, the cost was very reasonable. read more

Had a really bad carpet smell and tried everything I could to clean the smell out . Was tired of that mil dew smell so a friend recommended me to Mark. Mark was so helpful and walk me through why the smell wasn't coming out and what things I could do to prevent future mishaps .Luckily it only took him a short amount of time for him to not only get the smell out of the carpet but it was very smooth . First off -- I never do this -- I never do surveys and I never write reviews. I was so impressed by the service provided by Carlson's Carpet Care owner, I had to come in and write this review. I was not there when the service was provided as my wife was home. We've been in this house in Temecula for 28 years and have been getting our carpets cleaned all these years. This is the best our carpets have been cleaned by far!! He came, then took his time and cleaned amazingly! Most are all about production -- and getting in and out quickly -- It is extremely hard to find someone -- anyone that takes pride in their work anymore and is more interested in doing a great job, the way it should be done, and the way they would do it in their own home. This is the way is was done. I couldn't believe it. I will recommend him to all our friends and never use anyone else! I'll be honest -- I did not like that they advertised for a complete house 2000 square feet (which our house is) for $125 then we ended up paying double that $250 after the stair landing, stairs, and spot cleanings -- just a way to upcharge, but..... bottom line the carpets look amazing. Everyone else was $250 anyways. It was well worth it! I've never met these people nor was prompted by them (like a lot do out there) to write this review. Take my advise. Use Carlson's Carpet Care and ask that the Owner clean your carpets. I am sorry to see some bad reviews here. I can only guess that he had some bad eggs working for him and hopefully has fired them. Mark arrived this morning to clean our tile and grout. He texted to let me know that he was on his way. After arriving, he explained to me exactly what he would be doing and the products he would be using. Mark worked diligently for several hours. The end results are amazing!! Price was very reasonable for the amount of work he had to do. This was the first time Mark had done the tiles for me. Our carpet has been peed on by my mothers dog. I have had him come out before about 3-4 years ago to freshen up the carpet. This time around it was bad my sister even complained to my mom how bad the smell was. The carpet before Jim and his son came to clean it was sticky feeling and smelled of urine. He said upfront the only way to get rid of that smell is to change out the pad and of course clean the top carpet and treat it with the enzyme cleaner. No point in paying to replace since she still lives here with me but Jim and his son did an amazing job. Her room smelt so much better, the hallway and he even did the landing on the stairs he must of saw something!! But what a huge difference. It's been about 3 weeks now since he's done it and it still smells clean, my husband and I put thick plastic over the fully dried carpet to hopefully help keep the urine from going through to the carpet padding. I'd been referred to CCC by a friend who had been very happy with their services, and I'm now a fan as well. After a botched do-it-yourself carpet shampooing (who knew it could be difficult?), the berber carpet was left with some truly ugly black areas that I feared were mold. Mark looked at the situation, explained what likely had happened, and said he should be able to make it look good again. And he did it! He also made sure that doorways, furniture and posts were protected from any possible damage from the hose. I'll be using him again for tile floor cleaning. read more

Just had my stairs and upstairs bedroom cleaned by Mark this morning. The carpet looks fantastic! All of the stains that were there are gone now! 3 years ago i had one of the large carpet cleaning businesses clean the same area and they rushed through it and didn't bother to do a spot treatment. When he came to the property on the day of the cleaning, he was prompt, very professional and understanding of our needs.
