Pros: It's never too busy to get your order in. You feel good about supporting a local business, and this the neighborhood you love. There's a lot of neat extras being sold by the front if you keep your eye open. This Carman drugs is located in probably the nicest strip mall in Long Island, I dare say this because the recent parking lot renovations are awesome. Cons: Hours are a little limited, check store hours to plan your visit. The automated stuff will need work, meaning no web portal, but when does that ever work (even for the bigger chain pharmacies). The text messaging seems inconsistent for me, not sure if I set it up right with them- that's a minor issue. read more

I recently switched to this drugstore because of my Sons recommendation. I can't say enough great things about this pharmacy. They are fast, friendly. I never had to wait like other places. They remember faces. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I especially love Jordan. Carman Drugs is great! I've come here for years for both my prescriptions, as well as my dog's! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Very welcoming. Also has an old-school feel. It's not large by any means but it's great for pickup or delivery of prescriptions without the corporate mess that is some larger pharmacies. We recently came here for out booster and were in and out. Lady at the front took our information and the nurse sat us right down, gave us the shot, and we were on our way. 10% off any purchase in the store after your vaccine! They have a well-oiled machine here for vaccines and I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I was going to corporate pharmacies forever (ie CVS). They drove me nuts with constantly messing up prescriptions, not giving me the proper dosage amounts so on and so forth. This pharmacy is absolutely the best! My wife and I started going here probably about six years ago, and from the moment we enter the doors these people have been nothing but constantly helpful and always looking to help us out at every turn. I will never go back to a corporate pharmacy as long as I live here. I just know that when I do eventually move, I am going to miss these guys so much! Best business in town. I often think they should be the focus of a Norman Rockwell painting! It is always a pleasure to shop here for scripts, OTC meds, or even for gifts or clothing. Anytime a doctor has said to me "I'd like you to take this medication, but, it's really hard to get so I may have to put you on a different med that is "almost" as good", my response is "Don't Worry! If it's available, at all, Carman Drugs will not only be able to get it, but, they'll have it tomorrow!" They also ALWAYS go out of their way to ensure that if their is a coupon or discount available, it is applied. If this isn't your local pharmacy, you should ask yourself " why not"?... Great, friendly serve. Staff will literally go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy and well cared for. If your child is sick and you don't want to take them out of the car, they will come out to the car. They deliver. Both my mom and I received our 1st and 2nd Covid vaccinations at Carman Drugs, what a phenomenal experience. The entire staff was super organized, polite, and, efficient. The day following my 2nd vaccine I had a concern and emailed the pharmacist. Less than 30 minutes after the email was sent, I received a phone call addresssing my questions professionally and courteously. The pharmacy also offers a wide range of childrens gifts, adult gloves, scented candles, and so much more. They call me to let me know I have a new prescription and ask of I would like them to deliver it. I have my credit card on file and they use it and bring me my medication quickly. If they cannot answer your question right away, they will get back to you ASAP. And with a smile. I have used Carman Drugs for several years and have always found the staff to be so accommodating and helpful. A special shout-out needs to be given to Rob and Tom as well as their staff during the pandemic. I received my first of two vaccines last Wednesday and from the time I walked into the pharmacy until I was given my vaccine was three minutes. I know people who have waited in line (with appointments) for two and a half hours! Carman Drugs has this process so well organized and have people constantly checking on you for the 15 minutes you wait after you have the vaccine. I will never use another pharmacy. read more

Local strip mall pharmacy in the area. Decent amount of stock and fills prescrptions. Employees are pretty friendly. They are a licensed eye test center for the DMV and only a few blocks away from where I work so that was super convenient. Luckily I came by when they weren't too busy. I completed the test and was out in a matter of minutes. The guy conduction the test was actually impressed with my eyesight and didn't expect me to read the tiniest letters but I could with ease. Passed with flying colors. Hopefully I won't have to come back for another several years but when it's time to take the test again I would definitely come back here. It's much quicker than waiting at the optometrists office. read more
