On Google you'll find both "Westmere Wine & Liquor" and "Westmere Liquor Store," and here on Yelp, it's also "Westmere Liquor Store." But they're all the same place, at 1810 Western Avenue. For a relatively small space, it's amazing how much they carry and just how well organized it is. The wines dominate the middle aisles. On the right, you have some New York State wines, and you've also got Asian selections, including a large variety of Sake. On the left, you have your liquors, and these are competitively priced. Plus, given how close it is to my home, it's very convenient for me.

And that you should be able to get very good wine for much less. Wine stores do not generally tend to agree with me on this. Most stores only sell rot-gut for under $10. Not this place. In fact, they have an entire wall dedicated to highly regarded and reviewed, inexpensive wines under $10. This puts them on my short list of places to buy wine out here. If you want rot-gut, well, they have that too. But seriously, pony up the extra $2 and get something that's actually good.
