There were significant issues with the website which the Empire team acknowledged were internal technical issues. This delayed ordering to a two-hour process (when it should take minutes) ! Plus a timely response to Empire about a vintage question was not acknowledged without calls back to Empire thus delaying delivery to multiple days where we had to be available to accept delivery. We had respectfully requested waiving of the shipping charge (which was a relatively small amount compared to the order) as a basic courtesy but our email requests were either not answered or later met with abrupt responses telling us No, margins are small . We believe professional and common sense treatment of customers should come first and that this situation should have been handled differently!

For a relatively small space, it's amazing how much they carry and just how well organized it is. The wines dominate the middle aisles. On the right, you have some New York State wines, and you've also got Asian selections, including a large variety of Sake. On the left, you have your liquors, and these are competitively priced. Plus, given how close it is to my home, it's very convenient for me.
