Back in December of last year, I came to interview for a job in Van Wert, OH. I had little knowledge of the area, I was born and raised in Miami, FL and I have lived in its county my whole life. I was able to get to Van Wert in an Uber from Fort Wayne... but when I was looking to see the night before I left back to Miami if I could order an Uber to take me back to Fort Wayne Airport, I found out they didn't service the area! They will take you to Van Wert... but they won't pick you up from Van Wert. I started frantically trying to look up taxi companies and couldn't find any online or no one who would call me back. Thankfully the front desk person at the Holiday Inn told me there was a taxi company that came there once and dropped off business cards. I found the card and called. Hallelujah! They agreed to pick me up! It may have been slightly more expensive than an Uber, but it got me where I needed to go! I have since used it a few times as my family currently only owns one car and we need to buy a second. It's definitely become my way to get to Fort Wayne Airport. Being able to get a taxi company to come pick you up in Van Wert at 4:00 am especially is not easy! So I am thankful this taxi service does the job!

Didn't know if Uber would be a option at 5:00am in Fort Wayne. They were on time and the guy was nice. Although the cab was the nastiest car I have ever rode in and I'm now sitting at the airport smelling like a ashtray. I travel a lot for work and this was hands down the worst car ever. They aslo charge me a flat rate of $35 for a 20 minute ride when I could have got a Uber at the time for $16. Looking back I should have just cancelled upon seeing and smelling the car but didn't want to be rude. They couldn't even pay me $35 to ride in the car now. I'm embarrassed to even sit next to anyone at the airport and I feel sorry for whoever has to sit next to me on the plane. Also the receipt that was emailed to me showed up as gemgirl30@gmail.com and says nothing about a taxi service. Should be fun trying to get this expensed for work.

I have a great fondness for this town. Imagine my even deeper satisfaction when I discovered this bed and breakfast and booked it for two nights so I could celebrate my last surviving aunt's 80th birthday. My room was clean and comfortable, even having its own separate bathroom. Wifi was available as well as my own door key to the house so that I could come and go as I pleased. Breakfast was made personally by the hostess, an engaging and lively person with a story of her own regarding her connection to the town. I had a most pleasant stay in this charming house and the frosting on the cake was the reasonable price of the room. This is a place I would return to in a heartbeat.

The other hotel chain in the area was booked for the night, so I hadn't planned on staying here originally, but I look forward to returning. For a few dollars more a night I was able to get a king size bed, a little living room, and a kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge and freezer. Wifi was free - and fast. I was able to download a season of Mad Men while on skype and checking email. It isn't the most modern place as decorations go, but it has definitely been freshly painted and is well kept. Food recommendations were perfect. You can't beat the price. The staff are very friendly and are willing to go above and beyond for you. I went out to dinner and had a few drinks so I walked home -- the manager offered to let the local police know where my car was so it wouldn't get towed!
