    Nissan Frontier for sale at CarMax of Elliott City, Maryland.

    I had a great experience selling my used vehicle at CarMax of Ellicott City, Maryland. I had shopped around for a replacement vehicle but I decided at this time to just sell my used vehicle due to the current high values in the used car market. I did an online appraisal with CarMax. I then set up and appointment time, drove my vehicle in. The professionals at CarMax inspected the car and then gave me my in person offer (which matched the online offer price). I signed some paperwork and the sale of the vehicle was completed. This all only took a few hours of time. I could not be more pleased with the experience of selling a used vehicle here. I had shopped around for prices and CarMax gave me the best offer. CarMax is professional and courteous. Great experience! I also shopped for a new car at CarMax even though I decided not to buy at this time. The photo is a Nissan Frontier that I test drove. Shopping at CarMax is also a great experience but because of the high values of used cars currently I decided to wait to purchase. Fortunately we already have multiple cars in our household to make this possible. The cars at CarMax are all great choices and they all are in great condition from my experience. The Nissan truck that I test drove was beautiful. The sales people were friendly and courteous professionals. Again a great experience. I recommend CarMax of Ellicott City, Maryland for used car shopping. When I do purchase a car here I will update my review with that information.

    I had a positive experience buying a vehicle through CarMax Ellicott City, however there has been no follow up since I purchased the car. There is a small issue that we noticed before I purchased the car. Pete Mack, our sales associate, assured me it would be addressed in a timely manner at no charge. No one has returned my calls or emails and I haven't heard anything from the service department or sales consultant in the several months since I bought the car. I did appreciate the no pressure environment and the opportunity to test drive various makes, but this is so frustrating. I do not feel CarMax cares about customer relations. As soon as the check cleared, it has been radio silence. I hate to resort to negative reviews to get assistance, but here we are. Will update review if anyone returns my emails or the parts show up.

    Awesome car buying experience of 2019!!! My daughter bought her very first car at CarMax Ellicott City and it was truly an awesome experience for my teenager. Her salesman was Tomas W. and he was excellent. From the time she spoke to him on the phone about the car, he had it delivered in less time than expected. He was very professional and stayed with her every step of the way. This by far was the fastest car buying experience I have ever witnessed. We were truly in and out with all paperwork, deposit, test drive and cleaned in 2 1/2 hours and no more!!! If you are looking for that new car, give CarMax Ellicott City a visit. You won't regret it.

Great deal honestly and they put me on hold since I was young for almost 30 minutes. And I had to call again since I had no hope they were going to take me off of hold. So so called again and got a different person/representative . So I asked I want to purchase this car all over again and Idk if he got overwhelmed or I said something wrong put on hold again and he said "hold,hold" and I was on hold for 10 minutes and I gave up. So I asked my brother (18) if he can help me and he decided to be the speaker for me and my brother and the same person matched and they got along and the confirmed a date for the 20th so the day after. But it only took 5-8 minutes instead of 40? I think the guys name was Jonathan I forgot. Then the 20th rolls around and me and my uncle were talking and he brings up that he found another car from bmw of Annapolis and I was sold and I'm like wow! automatic parking since it had the parking package And it was 30-35 k so 10,000 thousand dollars over my uncles budget and I'm like oh well. But then I went to school and came back and I was going to relax but then I hear a car and I liked outside and saw the x5 So I ran outside and I was so happy and it had everything so was so happy. I initially came here to get a repair quote to take my car to another shop however after talking with Sue I made an appointment to have my car repaired here. They had my car for about three weeks, They kept me informed of the work that's was being performed. When the repairs where done I noticed that my pin stripes didnt match and chuck the shop manager at the time gave me the run around about correcting the pin stripes. Then came Fred the new shop GM and he took care of getting the correct Hyundai H for my pin stripe and it took him about 5 minutes to put it on. Although I had that small hiccup I still gave the five stars because my experience was still amazing. And if I ever need repairs done again I would definitely come here. Side note. Someone my say that the pin stripes not matching it not that big of deal however it was to me.

Since we live two hours away, we requested assistance with transportation; however, the experience from the beginning was rude and unprofessional. We felt judged when discussing a loaner's vehicle, as if assumptions were being made about our ability to pay. Because we were denied a loner, we had to spend over $200 on Uber transportation just to get home. We asked multiple times whether our vehicle would be charged for pickup on Tuesday, and we were assured it would be. Unfortunately, our pickup experience was just as disappointing. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of our patience, and no professionalism shown. While waiting in the service area, we overheard the staff discussing whether the car had been charged. They confirmed it had not, and one employee casually said, "Oh well." At that time, they didn't notify us about the charge status; they merely said our car was ready and parked it outside the service bay area. The overall atmosphere made us feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I attempted to follow up several times with management, leaving at least five messages, emails, and messages through staff for Mr. Miller over the course of three weeks. Unfortunately, none of my calls or emails were returned. We were not looking for compensation--only a sincere apology and acknowledgment of how poorly we were treated. Instead, we were ignored. No customer should feel disrespected, judged, or treated differently based on appearance or assumptions. This was one of the worst dealership service experiences we have ever encountered, especially as a Cadillac customer who has made multiple purchases.

I explained what I wanted and the desired payments and he made sure he did everything in his power to grant my requests. I traded in my 2019 Altima and drove off in a 2022 Rogue. I even got to ring the bell. I am a Nissan girl, so if and when I decide to buy in the future, I hope Shuja is still around to assist! Still today, I continue to return to have my car serviced. The service team is equally amazing. The cashier is very friendly, in fact the entire team is and they are all very accommodating. You can either opt to be called or texted during your service for progress updates. You can also pay for your service online and pick-up your keys from the sales team if you are unable to retrieve your car when the service department closes.

    In February, this dealership sold me a car at a new-car price while advertising it as having "0"…read moremiles. In reality, the vehicle had nearly 600 miles, was missing a second key, and was in a condition that was far from new. On March 2, 2026, the salesperson confirmed by email that the car had been used. Despite 18 contacts with dealership staff, they were unable to locate or provide the missing second key. My experience was disappointing due to the inaccurate advertising, the condition of the vehicle, and the lack of resolution regarding the missing key.
