We're moving and needed to get rid of my 2002 Saturn Vue I did an online appraisal and called into their hotline after to see if they had any appointments available the same day. Adeline was the phone agent who helped me and was courteous and professional, managing to squeeze me in a half hour from my call for the local CarMax. When we arrived, there was about a 20 minute wait. Cameron, the Customer Specialist who assisted us with our sale, was friendly, personable, and we truly enjoyed our interaction with him today. I also wanted to add on the fact that a Carmax employee told me that when they receive used cars from sellers, all they do is clean the cars and reset the battery. They don't actually do service on these cars before selling them to people...they just reset the battery so the warning lights on the dashboard don't come on when you first get the car. They don't disclose these issues at all and they will make it seem as if you're purchasing a car in perfect condition. This explains why my battery light turned on as soon as I drove out of the lot....not to mention the fact that within the first few weeks of having it, I had to constantly take it back to Carmax to get it serviced. Thank God they have that warranty that allows you to get free repairs for a certain amount of time (arguably the ONLY good thing they have going on), but even then, every time I took my car to get serviced, another issue arose. Issues that I had to deal with up until I got rid of the car. Engine stalling, battery issues immediately after they "put in a new battery," seat motor wasn't working....all within the FIRST WEEK of having the car (and I KNOW how to take care of cars as I've had cars in the past with no issues, so it definitely wasn't user error). I'm extremely disappointed. I regret ever purchasing a car from them. This car has given me hell since I got it. read more

Carmax/Warner Robins needs to hire more customer service reps. Went in to inquire about a car, and no one even asked if they could help me or that they would be with me shortly. Even a nice hello would have been better than nothing. Made me feel they did not want my business. So, I left. Have purchased 2 cars from them in previous years, and it was a different experience. If they cannot even acknowledge a customer, I will buy elsewhere. read more

Bought a 2017 Dodge Charger from carmax in Warner Robins car was doing a little shaking when I slowed down. Brought it to the Repair shop at car max and Mr. Will Smith took very good care of me. My appt was at 9:00 a.m. he brought my vehicle back at 8:50. Very good customer service had me in and out in no time. Solicited for an appointment to sell them my car, showed up at the appointment time they gave me and was told that I am "checked in" and will be called in a few minutes. Waited over 30 min before leaving. When they eventually called I was asked if I wanted to come back, when I said no, they just said okay bye. Great customer service. If you like being harassed by phone for months to come in, and then ignored when you show up in person, they can't be beat. Went down the road to Five Star and left with a check in less time than it took to get a rude call back from Carmax. read more

I wouldn't waste your time with this place. Not only are the cars they have not clean and smell on the inside but you can only test drive two cars per visit. We drove all the way from Andersonville, Georgia to purchase one of the cars we saw on line. I guess $20,000 is nothing to these people, but with the times the way they are these days, test driving in order to make such a purchase is an absolute necessity to my family and I. We will never do business with CarMax. Our time is way too valuable. Customer service sucks. No one went out of their way to look up the other cars that we were interested in. Had a car transferred to the WR location for me to test drive which took about two weeks (I was told this when the transfer was requested so this was fine). From start to finish the entire process was smooth and the sales team I worked with was friendly and knowledgeable. Zero pressure was put on me to buy a car at any point. They let me know what my financing options were in my budget without making a dramatic show like car dealerships usually do nor had me waiting around for hours on end. Came home with a car I loved! Just purchased our second vehicle from CarMax in Warner Robins yesterday. Andrew and Clair once again went out of their way to make the process as painless as possible (including fixing something that we had goofed up) from getting the car shipped in to test driving it to finishing up the purchase/paperwork phase. So, now the wife is the happy owner of a new (for her) Mini Cooper. Again, if you detest the vehicle shopping/purchasing experience that you usually have to go through at regular auto dealerships, you really ought to give CarMax a try. It's pretty much completely unlike the experience at your average car dealership...and that's a GOOD thing, IMHO. read more

Appointments are more of a suggestion at best. When you come 15 min prior so that you are on time, you are told that it will be an hour to an hour and a half before they might be able to get to you. Other Carmax locations from which I have purchased seem more tightly run. read more
