I was scammed in 2019. She's been in the news for her bad business practices. Buyer beware.

This person is a complete scam artist stay far away! It's too bad because she could be a great medium if she ran her business correctly. Long story short....booked and paid in full $200.00 for a 30 min phone reading. Reading was a year wait. Year came and she cancelled. Told another year. That was 6 years ago. Despite repeated attempts to get my money back, I'm still out. She gives a credit only for items for sale on her website or says to keep waiting for my reading, now at least 10 more years since she only does 3 readings a week, and I'm number 1138 or some crazy thing on the list. Yes. 1100 people ahead of me, still waiting for THEIR paid in full readings. I recently reached out to see where I was in the list. They responded immediately, saying my reading still years out, but if I want I can give her yet another $200 and she had all kinds of reading offerings I could get. Um what??? i replied, said I just want my money back, and no response. If you have several other offerings of readings, why not just GIVE ME MY READING??? And funny how quiet it got on their end..... no more fishy on the line..... read more

If I could give negative stars, I would! I booked an appointment May 5, 2015 and was given a reading date of September 21, 2016 10:00 AM. That appointment was cancelled by Carmel's office and I was given another reading date of June 19, 2018. That appointment was cancelled by Carmel's office the day before and then I was given a number .......#243. I just followed up today, July 24, 2019 to see where they are at with the numbers and I was told they are at low 100!!! I have been waiting more than 4 years for this reading. They took full payment for the reading at the time that I booked it - $750. Based on their new and improved numbering system - it will likely be another 4 years. They refuse to provide a refund and say I can use store credit! I wanted a reading not store credit. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this organization! They are exploiting people who are grieving and desperate to connect with passed loved ones. read more

She maybe good at what she does, but I am so totally disappointed with her follow through on the reading that was booked. I have reached out to her (and her staff) many many times, and was unable to rebook, refund was not offered, no reading after years of waiting for my number to come up again on your wait list..... just the run around and bs excuses. If I could give 0 out of 5 I would. I booked a reading in Dec 2015 that was supposed to take place in May 2018. They cancelled it. According to their terms, they have up to one year to reschedule. They did not. In Jan 2019, I was sent an email putting me on a waiting list where my number is 1112. 1112!!!! According to their email: "Please do not let your number scare you, when Carmel is healthy, she reads 2 - 4 clients a day and will be working through the numbers as quickly as possible. " So according to that, if she is healthy and reads and average of 3 clients a day, 3 days a week, I will get my reading that was scheduled for May 2018 in about 2.5 years....May 2021. Oh, and no refunds...even though it is their fault you are waiting. So unless you want years of irritation and frustration, stay away!!!! read more

I'm bummed out to see that she has such a low rating. I do however understand the frustration many are feeling waiting on their full readings for a very long time now. I was lucky enough to get her mini reading with a photo. I was skeptical at first, but this blew my mind. She is the real deal, as there are things that were said that wouldn't be known to anyone except my immediate family. I hope she is able to catch up on the readings soon, as I would love one myself and I certainly hope to come across more mini reading sessions. read more

She is excellent. One of the best I've been to. Unfortunately, she is now priced out of my range. It now also takes a year to get in to see her and you have to pay at the time of the booking and not the actual reading. She has the right to postpone at any time and can change the reading from in-person to on-the-phone at her whim. She is good - but there are others out there that are more cost effective and only expect payment at the time of the reading. read more

Do NOT book with Carmel. I paid up front and I was rescheduled numerous times by Carmel's office staff due to Carmel's personal problems. It took me 2 years of being rescheduled before she gave me a reading over the phone. The reading that I paid for was to be in person not via phone. The reading was vague and not impressive. My friend also had the same problem with Carmel rescheduling. There is something seriously wrong with her ability to deliver what is promised within a reasonable amount if time. If she's that over booked or has so many personal problems, then she needs to stop taking people's money upfront and making them wait years for a reading. read more

Please refer to BBB or search Facebook for the multiple clients whom have booked appointments, prepaid and been rescheduled multiple times. When attempting to get a refund for services not rendered expect a run around and a 60 day or more processing time for refund. Think twice before you make a full payment online and book with her. Do your research. Check the better business bureau. Ask around and check her reputation. Be careful where your invest your hard earned money because some people are crooks. read more

There should be a "no star" for the review of this woman. Reading reviews below I see that many people are being fraudulently dealt with by this business - exactly as I have been. I have been waiting 2 1/2 years for a reading that was paid in full when scheduled originally and was rescheduled 3 times because of her personal reasons. Now I am waiting for a refund - which if I'm correct is probably not going to appear as promised by her staff. This review is not about her abilities to read spirits - it is about her dishonest management of clients. The BBB has now given her poor ratings for these very facts. Wow. The other reviewers mention she is booked years out and keeps pushing further out or canceling. Apparently she can't keep up with monthly subscriptions either. Her helpers are unresponsive too. It's a bad landslide of taking money from too many people for too many services. Even shortening the messages or using pre-recorded messages doesn't seem to help her. Maybe cut down on lists of products and go back to quality. read more

I booked and paid for a session with Carmel in April 2015 and got an appointment for October 2016. Just before that visit was to happen, my appointment was changed to October 2017. Again just before that visit was to happen I received a message saying due to health issues I would be put on a waiting list for sometime in the future. I was given the option of a reading from Carmel's daughter or I could get a refund. I have now been waiting almost 6 months for the refund. I keep asking and receiving the reply that the accountant is behind and to be patient! Sorry but my patience is gone and I want my refund!! read more

Do not book any readings or buy tickets to Carmel's events. She does not keep her appointments. I had a reading booked for November that was canceled and still have not heard from anyone on when my reading is being rebooked. I have also been trying to get a refund for tickets to an event she had scheduled in July, 2016. A year and a half later this event still has not taken place and it has been a nightmare trying to get a refund. I was also charged on my credit card for a monthly reading last July that I did not receive. That money has yet to be returned to me as well. Carmel is not a reputable Medium. I regret booking anything with her and I caution anyone else thinking about buying any of her products or services. read more

Wow! I thought I was the only person who paid for a reading, had Carmel's office reschedule twice over a 2-year period before she cancelled my appointment. She didn't even let me know the appointment was cancelled. I found out when I emailed her office to find out where I should meet her for my reading. Her office agreed to refund me the $500 I paid (plus GST). That was months ago!!!! My repeated emails to her office always result in the same response - "We appreciate your patience and are working to get your refund processed as quickly as possible." Bulls**t! She has no intention of refunding my money that SHE agreed to pay back. Do NOT pay her a nickel up front because the chances of you receiving what you paid for are slim to none! read more

In Feb/2014 I paid $500 for an in person reading and had a scheduled appointment for a year later. Over the 5 years since - I have been rebooked several times and always cancelled. At one point I really had hope as a numbering system was attached to receiving a PHONE READING! Please note I paid for an in-person reading and that was the experience she was selling at the time and -I bought it! In more ways than one. Being now downgraded to a telephone reading was not something I actually BELIEVED in and I felt this is not what I paid for. It's now 5 years. I've been told I have a credit for any of the other services she offers or "they would be happy to have me wait for my reading". What?? I would like a refund. Carmel is simply not who I paid for. Paying for an in-person reading is not the same as a telephone reading and I feel I should be reimbursed. It's not what I paid for. Plus as this much time has gone by along with all the excuses I don't even know who she is as a person. Her commitment to her business should have been to look after her already paid customers first BEFORE taking money for new services that would take place SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE-just like me! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Carmel, her daughter Mellissa, and their business practices as a whole, are abominable. After paying in full for an in-person reading with Carmel several years ago and being rescheduled NUMEROUS times, I was FINALLY to receive my reading today. I booked the day off work (using hard earned vacation hours) and travelled 3 hours from Calgary to see her. Upon arriving at River Lane Ranch and finding that no one would answer the door (although lights were on in the house as well as people out in the fields feeding the horses - and dropping f'bombs refusing to acknowledge me), I called the office for assistance. I was told there had been a scheduling error and my reading wasn't in their system and, in fact, Carmel is no longer doing in-person readings - only phone readings. SAY WHAT?!! Of course apologies were provided, as they have been in the past, as well as a promise to get back to me with a solution. 6 hours have passed and still no one has reached out to me. Carmel has had to cancel and reschedule my reading several times in the past for various reasons, but mostly stating personal health concerns. Yet, somehow, Carmel always manages to find energy to divert to other things such as: building event centres, hosting events (online, at her house), hosting Facebook dance parties, creating haunted houses, building web courses, hosting mediumship classes, and doing a smattering of other money grab readings (pulling an angel card, past life card, etc. for people) - but, when it comes to readings, her health is used as an excuse to NOT fulfill her commitments to clients (who, by the way, may very well have health concerns of their own but manage to come up with hundreds - sometimes over a thousand dollars - for a reading and part with that money before services are rendered). I am an absolute advocate for alternative therapies and healing methods that don't necessarily fall within the parameters of traditional medicine - most people come to psychics to assist with such healing. I also speak highly of practitioners in these fields who deliver what they promise and do so with grace and regard to their clients. However, in this case, after years of being the understanding and empathetic client here, I feel I have to post my experiences as Carmel does not treat her client base with the same respect and understanding she asks of us. As Carmel amasses her fortunes by taking peoples money and not providing services as promised, there are those of us who struggle with issues, but manage to keep our commitments (or stop taking others on before fufilling those we've committed to). Carmel, her daughter Melissa, and her office as a whole, don't work this way. I don't doubt Carmel has a gift, but her business practices are so shady and unacceptable that it colours those gifts in a negative way. I hope this review will give you a sense of what you're getting into when booking with her - BUYER (of something you're unlikely to ever receive) BEWARE!!!!
