After thoroughly checking my muscle pain and mobility, he thought it most likely to be a muscle strain issue. He did an adjustment, trigger point therapy, and we talked about some exercises I could do at home that would help. Within about a week and a few more adjustments, my pain was gone. My lower back issue was creating deferral pain down my leg and obviously the back was aching. After each session there was dramatic improvement. Especially after the second. My only complaint is that he doesn't take insurance. But I have been to other chiropractors that do, and their treatment wasn't nearly as effective. Then, when I found myself with lower back pain I decided to try him despite the fact that he has limited hours and doesn't play the insurance game (can't blame him). I was first impressed with this virtual receptionist. You just logon to his website and choose your appointment right there. I had an appoint scheduled for 3 hours later and showed up. He was a very personable person and seemed to know his stuff. He didn't have a huge staff nor claim that adjustments would cure colds or itchy feet. A big part of his treatment is soft tissue massage before your adjustment. Never one to turn down a great massage I welcomed the treatment. He has very strong hands and fingers and will warn you to tell him about pressure. Dr. Steve is very up to date on technology. You can even pay with Apple Pay and he will email you the receipt, which you sign on his iPad. Good experience.

Luckily I made a mistake! Dr. Cook practices Active Release Technique where he pinpoints the problem area and works the issue out by having you move your arms, neck, or related body part, in a way that works the muscle to help release the built-up problem. He's clearly very knowledgeable in what he does and doesn't just crack your back like some chiropractors will. He's really eager to explain to you what he thinks is wrong and thinks it's important for the patient to know what is making them feel the way they do. I really enjoyed my visit, learned a lot, and already feel better.
