Carmen la de Ronda is not your typical touristy overpriced restaurant. Hidden in the middle of Plaza Duquesa next to public garden. Their terrasse faces the Iglesia Mayor de Ronda, beautifuly illuminated at night ! Needless to say that the peaceful atmosphere and huge amount of locals make the dining experience even more memorable !
The food is very flavourful and appetizing. The presentation is nice but nothing out of the ordinary. The duck confit with mascarpone is, in my opinion, heavenly ! The mix of flavour is perfect and you can't seem to get enough in your dish :)
The vol au vent is pretty basic and even for the small price of 3.50€, I would not recommend. There are so many more yummy things on the menu.
As a main, the tuna tartar is a great option. The seasoning is nice with a delicious cabbage salad that gives a fresh touch to the tartar sitting on it. The tenderloin with whisky sauce is also very tasteful. Loved the sweetness of the sauce !
You can't go wrong with this cute little restaurant. The only drawback is the slow service. The waiters are friendly and give good suggestions (even the wines suggested were nice) but being only two, we had to wait quite a while for everything. read more
