Gorgeous works of art can be found throughout the gallery. So many unique pieces that will add style and class to your home or office. No sales pressure and no cheesy or ultra sophisticated conversation needed to shop. I love the many African American pieces of work. The owner and staff are cool, relaxed and friendly. The gallery also allows you to bring in your own photographs which they will make into artwork for you. Prices seem a little steep to me but then again I don't know much about art. After today, I understand why so many people say it has gone downhill. My husband called in advance to confirm their buy/sell practices before we ever drove over. Because paying spot price for gold and silver is not typical, he explicitly questioned it and confirmed it multiple times over the phone to make sure there was no mistake. Each time, he was told they pay spot price. Only after receiving that confirmation did we load our family into the car and drive out of our way to do business there. Once inside, the story suddenly changed. Instead of apologizing for the misinformation given by their own employee, the staff responded with dismissiveness, mockery, and open disrespect. While I stepped out briefly to retrieve items we had forgotten, my husband was treated as if he were wasting their time or trying to pull something dishonest, despite the fact that he had done exactly what a responsible customer should do by confirming details ahead of time. What stood out most was not just the misinformation, but the attitude: condescending, unprofessional, and openly hostile. No accountability. No attempt to resolve the situation. Just defensiveness and ridicule. Businesses that deal in valuables rely on trust. When staff are poorly trained, contradict one another, and then humiliate customers for relying on information they themselves provided, that trust is gone instantly. This experience was embarrassing, frustrating, and completely avoidable. The empty parking lot speaks for itself. If you value professionalism, transparency, and basic respect, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I know we will -- permanently.

Local artisans gather together to offer various handcrafted goods, and there's something for everyone! There are: basketry, candles, ceramics, gourd art, hand-spun yarns, jewelry, knitting, lampwork beads, ornaments, painting, pencil drawings, photography, pottery, sculptures, shell art, stained glass, tapestry bags, weaving, wood arts, and even handmade soap! Some of my favorites were: Jeanne Hammett's beautiful silkscreen prints, Lisa Tettimer's mixed metal jewelry, and Marta Kelsey's gourds. This year, the show was set up at Calvert High School, where all the vendors had their own 'booth' area set-up, and there was plenty of room to roam around, peruse to your heart's content, and speak with the various artists. There is also a raffle drawing every half an hour or so, with door prizes and such. We happened upon this mid-sized shop on our way to some farms. Once inside, we were surprised at…read morethe space and it was filled with unique and charming items for all ages. The owner and operator was most inviting and helpful. I only spent about 30 minutes inside but observed so many items that were inviting and worthy of another trip. I was able to purchase some items for upcoming events and admired several others. The shop even has sensory toys for children that could benefit from sensory toys. The shop has a set of handcrafted items by young artist as well as teas by an organization called Skirted Soldier - which is a female Veteran Owned company. I cannot wait to try the Cold Weather Gear tea (gingerbread house black tea). This bag of loose tea includes tea bags. Nice touch! I enjoy shopping and supporting local and/or small businesses. This house contains quite an extensive collection of things from food items, vintage to handmade goods. It's like as if Etsy did a pop-up here. On the ground level, you can find local ice cream, meats from a local farm and other homemade goods like jams and sauces. Browsing in there makes it fun too as the items are displayed in the different rooms throughout. Every corner you turn there is something new! I saw some really beautiful items, some funny ones too. I'm going to be honest, I zoomed by this spot at first and had to turn around. When I approached…read moreagain, I wasn't sure where to park and pulled right into the front of the building on the gravel...I then moved my vehicle to the small lot to the side of the building. Even though I zoomed by this place at first, this ended up being my favorite place to browse. It is a multilevel building with many rooms that you can go through and peek at all the items. I took my time in each room/stall area to look everything over. There were pieces here that looked great, but didn't fit my need for the time being. I was about to exit when the owner saw my frustrated look. He asked me if you could help me find anything. I described what I was looking for and he started guiding me around the space. Pointing out items, but he knew that it wasn't what I was looking for. He even stated that they just sold something that might have filled that void for me. When I was about to head out he actually gave me suggestions on where else I should look. This is a great business and one that shares brochures for other antiquing businesses. He told me about other shops around and we ended up talking about cats. We also ended up showing each other pictures of our cats. It was and odd, but greatly appreciated experience.

It's worth stopping in just to enjoy the architecture and see the old building. There are a lot of antiques, especially China sets for sale as well as artwork. There's also a fair amount of antique items on display that are not for sale. The proprietors are extremely friendly.
