Lots of empty ones but there'll probably have more coming in as they are newly opened. It seems they are intending to be more of a fresh seafood shop. Which is great! Saw some clams and made a mental note to myself to pop in here the next time I would like some. The gentleman busily working in the tank area, and also loading items from a truck outside, was very, very friendly. This looks like the perfect place for a quick run to grab a couple of items when you don't want to meander through the bigger shops and fight your way through checkout. Nice clean store.

These are the house made cheeses we're talking about here, not some prepackaged brand name which is sitting in the cases easy to grab. No, these cheeses are not accessible to customers without asking a staff member, interestingly enough. One must go all the way to the back of the store to the meat counter and ask the butcher for the house made queso fresco or queso crema. It's a plus if you speak Spanish, or befriend a fellow customer who may be able to help you. The queso crema tastes homemade. It has that fresh cheese smell. It's great with chips, on enchiladas, tacos, nachos, on a spoon (not kidding), it's great on everything. The queso fresco has a wet salty bite, but not too salty and its the perfect accompaniment to whatever Mexican inspired meal your cooking up in the kitchen. From now on, I'll be measuring all future queso to the standard set here. The bar is high. Come to this store for the queso. They also have a nice small store selection of other common items. The butcher shop is great too. Commonly we'll hit up the meat and cheese here and grab a few veggies, as needed for dinner that night. It's an easy place to run in and grab a few things. It's more of a meat shop meets bodega kinda place. Do your regular weekly shopping elsewhere. Shop here for just handful of specialty items. I'd recommend shopping here in the daylight hours.
