When we arrived, we were greeted promptly by several employees. They asked us to head to one of the counters in the back and they would assist us shortly. They were so enthusiastic about the Gameboy games my fiancé had. It was nice to see them get excited about games that were popular in the 90's and 2000's. We overheard them saying that they typically match whatever GameStop is currently offering in store credit. To our surprise, they gave my fiancé more than GameStop would have if we would've gone there. This is why it matters to support small businesses. We were happy with the level of service we received here and will definitely be back.

We were visiting from Northern Virginia (where gamestops monopolize the gaming community) and needed to do some shopping. I was thrilled to be able to pick up Fallout: New Vegas for only 14.44 as every where else I've been, it's around 20 bucks. With the buy 2 get one free, we ended up leaving the store 50 dollars and 7 games in hand. The employee (I think he was co-owner) was even kind enough to clean one of the games for us that he wouldn't normally clean because it was from the bargain bin! It went in dirty and came out looking awesome! He mainly did this so if the game was bad we wouldn't have to return, would be quite a trip lol. Awesome service, great prices. Northern Virginia needs places like this to break the monopolies!

And Game Trader is one of those fabulous finds! The games and equipment are up to 30% cheaper than at EB Games or Game Stop! The staff is very friendly and are willing to share their gaming and platform knowledge. The store is small, but it's not that crowded and the prices are right! The store also has a generous policy on returns - for both used and new merchandise - that puts other gaming stores to shame. If you want some reasonably priced games, quick service, and a huge selection - head underground to Game Trader 9th and Market!

But credit where credit is due: the place is fairly gigantic, with a rigorous focus on DVDs. Other adult shops diversify: lube, toys, magazines. There's a smidgeon of that here, but really it's an epic array of movies, helpfully organized by focus/fetish. Selection ranges widely, though a rainbow flag outside isn't really earned, given the meager gay male section. Still, from classic hetero-smut to Elegant Angel to a curious series called Handjobs Across America, Risque has both breadth and depth. Because it's apparently lost its lease, all DVDs are ten bucks as of this review. No idea whether that's just a facile come-on or the place is really slated for extinction, but I'd rank this over most Center City sleaze joints at the moment.
