Things took a turn when my parents were trying to contact her for help for the final payment, well in advance of the due date. She did not respond to our emails, not call us back. Then a couple days after the due date sent an email saying now we owe a late fee and a rush delivery fee. I called her again, she didn't pick up, then emailed expressing that we had been trying to get ahold of her with the receipts, and she did not remove the additional fees. Then in our final call reviewing the design, our conversation felt really negative. She talked down to me almost, and I left the call hoping that all the money we paid would be the worth, and not the off interactions. Sadly I was wrong. The day of, after many photos had already been taken pre ceremony, she came up to us and said do you want your bouquet? It's been in the room the whole time. In a condescending way, which I just imagined would not be on me to figure out the day of my wedding. The amount of flowers on our tables was less than we had discussed as well. Then the thing that truly I could not stop talking about is that the hurricanes for the taper candles which we paid for the rentals of were not put out, due to wind which isn't her fault, but I think what would have been good customer service and care for us on a day we paid her a significant amount of money is to either refund us the cost of the rentals for the candles that we didn't get to actually use, or to have brought alternatives so that candles were lit on our tables. It has been one week and that's the only thing I am still very disappointed about. She also left with the hurricanes so that when the wind died down, we couldn't put them up. Sorry for the saga, maybe it was me, but I really think they need to improve their customer service and care for their clients.

One company we'd used for bouquets and arrangements in the past took weeks to get back with us when we contacted them, and basically wanted to change everything about our vision for the wedding, including placement of flowers and other decor we were providing, and even changing some color schemes. That really wasn't what we wanted. Another company we really liked got back to us, but their minimums to provide flowers for even a Sunday wedding during the off season were way out of line..Nearly 1/2 the cost of what we were spending on the (upscale resort) venue, food and beverages combined! We then found Miami Centerpieces. Miami Centerpieces' website was basic and a bit unassuming, but when we looked them up on Instagram, we really liked their designs and the colors they used. A few days later I called and left a message, and Erika called me back within 10 minutes. We discussed what we wanted, I sent some "floral inspiration" photos to her via e-mail, and that same day I had a quote already..And the photos reflected exactly what we wanted! OMG, a dream! After a brief conversation with Erika, we signed the contract and paid our deposit. We really liked her designs and ideas, she seemed to be willing to work with OUR vision for what we wanted our wedding to be (as mentioned, that wasn't the case with all the florists we contacted), and she was able to make some modifications here and there to make the floral package fit within our budgets, without impacting the overall look or design. We met with Erika at her home studio a few weeks before the big day, when she even offered to supply hurricane glasses for our unity candle ceremony and take care of renting/supplying some pedestals for a few of the arrangements she'd designed for us! When we arrived at the venue about 2 1/2 hours before our ceremony, she and her staff were already hard at work, and everything they did was absolutely perfect and just what we'd hoped for. Even weeks later, guests are still raving about how perfect everything was and how beautiful the designs were. We'd highly recommend Miami Centerpieces to others!
