We ride here often, not sure if this place will be around in the long term. They have booked and cancelled the Field & Stream musical festival two years in a row. Leading up to that, we have seen some improvement to some of the trails but not all of them. Some of the trails are pretty much impassable at this point and could be closed. For this past Halloween duck hunt event, it was publicized as including an after ride party with live music. There was no live music either night, and the bar was not open. No liquor license renewed, so no bar. For some in our group, this was a major disappointment. They are currently looking at other options for holiday bookings for our riding group where more amenities will be consistently available. read more

I would have rated this place five stars, but the second day we were there. There was several miles long of traffic and they were not directing people appropriately, from what I would have thought. The day before they told us we could go to the left side to pass everyone since we already had our passes. I believe the weekends they have the night ride is when it's super crowded like this. We had a lot of fun and there were thousands of people there. The only thing I did not like was like I said the traffic. They should've had a dedicated lane for people who already had passes although we rode past everyone as soon as we get off the highway on a two-lane road and we're able to get in after about 15 minutes there were people that had been in line for three hours that we actually knew that did not do what we did. So that's one downside. Another was ordering the food was quick, but it took 15 minutes for an order of fries to come out. There was only one line so that was another thing where they should've had it split and had two people on the register if possible, but other than that, it was an overall great experience. I would definitely go back, but maybe not during a weekend there is a night ride because it was so crowded. We decided to leave and not do the night ride which was the whole reason we actually had went Unfortunately, someone actually lost their life this past weekend while we were there. I'm not sure all of the details but I did see their body laying on the ground, which was a bit disturbing so I will not go into details out of respect for the person in their family. Another thing I noticed was that all of the other ATV places we've gone to there is a rule if you are on a four wheeler or dirtbike you have to have a helmet. Apparently this rule is not enforced here because there were several people who were on four wheelers and dirt bikes, and no one had on helmets! And the side-by-side or ATVs of course it's not required, but I would imagine being on a four wheeler or a dirtbike it's strictly enforced whether you're on a trail or on the road in the parking lot. Full, Thorough Review ! Read it all. We booked our stay at CAW for the weekend of Thanksgiving. We came in on Wednesday 11/27/24 and checked out Sunday 12/1/24. Here are a few things you should know if you've never been here before. The cabins: We rented Frog Haven and Beaver Shack cabins, as shown in the photos, and boy were we surprised. First, we came in at night and couldn't find them because we were searching for single cabins and they are shared with another cabin. No one informed us. So we were just driving around. I finally had to stop and ask another renter who ended up being our cabin neighbor. These are not "private" stays. It's basically two separate rooms in one building (which seems to be a shed turned into a cabin, so you can hear your neighbors at times). So, know this when booking. You're not renting an entire private cabin. We did not see this advertised ANYWHERE during our booking process. We only found out upon arrival. We would have chosen differently had we been informed. Thankfully we had very nice neighbors the entire time and that was a blessing. But if we had terrible neighbors it would have been awful ! The trails : Trails were great ! We enjoyed them for sure. Rode every single one, and even tried their "black diamond" trail - which was definitely an increased difficulty but we made it through. We spent 3 days riding. I'd say if you ride hard, you can ride this place in a day. If we ever come back, we will only do 2 days max. 3 days had us riding the same trails repeatedly. But, we did get to know the park really well. So for our first run, it was still really good. The only downside to the trails is the amount of trash in some places. This is no fault of the park, as it's the riders who trash the place. But, I really really hate that. And it's evident the park doesn't go out and clean it up. So that's disappointing. The maps: ehhh... the map wasn't entirely accurate but we managed to navigate. That's where those 3 days helped us out. We finally figured it all out ourselves. But, I did love the color marks and clear trail markers as you're driving. Florida could take notes in this area. The Amenities: ok, so here's the thing. When booking- You pay for your room ONLY. Nothing else. This includes the ability to WASH OFF YOUR EQUIPMENT!!!! They literally charge you extra for water, and firewood is $1 a stick. So, come prepared. We asked someone who was washing his 4wheeler and he said that it was $1 but that only turned on the water for about 1 minute ! So, $1/1min for washing time !?! That's ridiculous. Also, there is a bar/restaurant on the property- this part was laughable. We were told that it's "open till 5pm" and had read online that it was open every single day. Well, I went in at lunch time, and some kid was in the kitchen area but no one was at the bar. Noted. After a long ride, my guys wanted to go have a drink and I said I'd just order something from the kitchen. It was 4:16pm. The blonde at the "service desk" informed us that the kitchen had actually closed at 4pm (nice- no idea they weren't open till 5:00 as advertised) and that the bar doesn't open until Friday (we went in on Thursday) and Saturday nights at 6pm because they "give everyone time to get off of the trails"- while I totally understand this concept. Why do you tell people it's open till 5:00 and open every day, when none of this is true. This place just didn't have very clear info on how this works and they seem to just open and close at a whim or whenever there are enough people. That's aggravating when you're wanting to come in and relax for a minute, have a drink and chill out. We never went back and wasted our money. We also didn't pay for water. But, we did buy a bit of firewood because I wasn't lugging 4 nights worth of it all the way from Florida. Finally, The Staff: If I was basing this off of the maintenance guy, 5 stars ! That guy is amazing. The blonde girl inside the bar/welcome center left much to be desired in her approaches to anything. And the check after hours in shack was good when we came through but totally missed/ignored my cousin when he came in, which left him sitting at the gate for a few moments at 10pm because no one came out to help him. We went up there to meet him and find the check in guy. Basically, the staff was ok. Not overly helpful or decent. If they could have everyone be trained by the maintenance guy on how to engage customers, this staff would be AMAZING. Over all- we had a wonderful time. Would we come back ? Sure. But, we will stay for a shorter stay and now we know which cabins to avoid. If you're looking for a family friendly place to hang out, ride, and get away -this is a really nice park to go to. read more

READ ENTIRE REVIEW!! We booked several months out from Thanksgiving weekend 2024, to be safe. Great idea, place was packed all weekend. We rented Frog Haven cabin and Beaver Shack cabin, which on their map show individual cabins. They are not!! Each of these cabins are a split wall design, meaning they have a dividing wall with another cabin. You can literally hear the "neighbors" in the other cabin talking. NOT AS ADVERTISED to say the least. Frog Haven also has a terrible thumping noise from the plumbing due to the lift station being so close to the cabin. The cabins were clean, none-the-less, but there isn't much room in these 4 cabins, so renters be-ware. Comfortable for 2 people, but not more than that IMO. Pay the extra $$ for a private cabin (only $25 on several cabins) and have plenty of room and privacy. The maintenance man was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable and kind. The young blonde at the welcome center has the personality of a fence post. I'm sure she was the same one I spoke to on the phone several times. She would not have a job if I owned the business!! The other staff members were fairly pleasant, but I wouldn't say they are informed or educated on the park rules or any ongoings, other than their particular job. 2nd rate staff if I'm being honest! This place also charges you for everything. From firewood, to water to rinse off your buggy at the end of the day. After paying for a cabin plus ride fees every day, they should, at minimum, allow you to clean your buggy for free. That is quite ridiculous IMO. TRAILS: The trails were reasonable and marked appropriately, however, the paper map they provide is not accurate at all. I spoke with folks using several different mapping resources (on-x and live-maps), and they were just as confused as I was when asking questions on the trails. If you are a go-fast rider, plan for one day. You can see every trail in 1 day. If you are a slower rider, 2 days will be fine. We went for 3 days and rode almost every trail twice, sometimes 3 times, and this was with lunch breaks and after breakfast which happened at 8:30-9. The green trails and blue trails will accommodate almost any stock machine. There are a few blue trails that can be tricky, but are manageable. The double black diamond trails, which are only 3, are just that. Advanced riding only. Service roads are fantastic and get you through the park at a good pace, and are good scenery also. They are all 2-way roads, all other trails are 1-way, which is fantastic. Would we go back? YES we would, but we will cut the riding down to 2 days. We would also bring our own firewood, and definitely pay for the private cabin space, although the bed is smaller. AS A NOTE: this was our first out of town ride. We plan to visit other places for comparison. So take this info and review as such. We enjoyed it very much with limited experience, even with the aggravating nuances. We rented Frog Haven from 3/1/23 to 3/5/23 4 nights price $777.00 I never saw any cleaning person during our whole 4 day stay!! Our linens had gross stains all on them and bottom mattress cover looks like it has never been washed at all between cabin stays of different people !! I brought my own pillow !! Bring your own linen!! Just has fitted sheet no top cover sheet !! They have a sign that says you have to pay for anything missing from cabins !! Highway robbery!! I took pictures of what we were given to use ! 6 washcloths, one hand towel,5 towels !! I tried to call the desk at least 5 times but wouldn't go through !! Bring coffee filters or share with others because we had no coffee filters to make coffee in our cabin! 777.00 was a bit steep but they got u and can make up any price they want!! RIP OFF will we go again !! No and we warn others not to bother !! Plenty of cheaper more affordable places to stay !! They take a picture of your credit card and say they will charge it if anything missing ! Other cabin didn't have a plunger and told them !! As we checked out I told the woman who actually was very pleasant what our linens had ! No list of what linens were given to us to use just a long list of what they change if anything missing but I only had one hand towel so the 5 shower towels was one supposed to be the 2nd hand towel !! I left everything there that was in room when we entered !! They also have a sign that says leave trailers in parking lot and not allowed in camping area !! Right next to us was a guy who parked his trailer right next to my cabin!! I called the gate was told to call another number told them . Was told ok trailer still there in am !! They won't enforce the rules !! March 4 2023 they said their will be a night ride night club which just means anyone can ride from 7pm to 11pm. Deceiving !!! Bone fire was with green pine trees ! They kept trying to light it but wouldn't ignite due to wrong trees ! We finally gave up and left !! Will not be returning ever!! read more

First time here- came because Busco was closed. The place itself is cool- lots of trails, lots of miles. The restaurant, well, you better just bring your own food because we were here Th-Mo and they seemed to be open only twice, and once only selling frozen pizzas. And the hours--- are a unknown. Some of the staff, like the lady just now at the check in shack- she's a b*txh, and the lady inside the never-open restaurant is also a b*txh. The other staff, like the night time guy Troy or tray --? Not sure was so easy to talk to, he had useful information and did not give any "fat woman attitude" like the others. read more

"Absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced. After waiting about 45 minutes just to check in, and over paying to rent an ATV I was informed that the rental is only until 4pm. On top of renting you have to pay to enter the park. Overall for 6 hours it's about $300. Then you sign your life away and basically they can "claim" damages. Of course I get a call and the manager states that the bumper was damaged during my 6 hour ride and it'll be an additional $295 charge. For $600 I would've put down a down payment on my own ATV. I will be disputing with my credit card company." After 7 days of back and forth I did receive my refund from Carolina adventure world. The first manager I spoke with was rude and disrespectful, but eventually I was put in touch with Katie- she handled the situation with poise and after showing the before pictures to their mechanic, I received my refund. Overall I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars- ALWAYS TAKE PHOTOS. I do suggest this establishment should change their policy from automatically charging a customer to asking for pictures; that would've saved some hassle on both ends. read more

We've now visited Carolina Adventure World six times over the years. This is a fun place, and if you can come, plan on a couple days, because you can't ride all the trails in a single day. They have campsites, a yurt (see photo), and several cabins. Most of our visits have involved a 2 night cabin rental. So why only 3 stars, you ask? Well, I'm glad you asked.. So I arrived on a Sunday afternoon to check in to my cabin, which I rented online. (Very convenient). I'm greeted by two young ladies at the front counter. A few signatures, about $300 on the credit card, another $500 damage deposit, here's your keys, I'm all set. By the way, no trailers in the camping area, they said. No problem, but I'm going to unload all my ATV's, coolers, and equipment off the trailer at the cabin, I said, and I'll make sure my trailer is parked in the designated area. "You can't take that trailer in the camping area!" says one of the girls. Well, every other time I've been here, I've done the same thing, and not once has anyone here had a problem, I said. Well, from that moment, it was on! No sooner did I pull my trailer to that cabin did little Miss Priss send her Macho Camping Area Patrol guy to tell me the lady up front wanted him to tell me to "Get that trailer out of here!" I told him that I am going to finish unloading my trailer, and I'd be right up to speak with the young lady. So I did. And she even got herself a backup diva lady manager to point out how I wasn't supposed to be doing what I just did. Wow. I really was steamed. I just paid them over $800 in damage deposits, rental fees, and trail passes, and they insist on enforcing some boneheaded no trailer policy? Complete BS. I just said send your manager to my cabin if he or she had a problem, and we'd discuss it. No one ever showed up, of course. So the few times I needed to go in and spend even more money on supplies, etc in their store, I held my tongue, and even tried to be as friendly as possible. Well not once was there a even a hint of an apology from anyone. Worse, not even a thank you. Cold, bitter, rude service. I mean, I thought a business should at least remotely appreciate their customers. Even with all this Jerry Springer style drama with their employees, we still had a fun weekend. There was lots of mud on the trails, and I took plenty of it home. If you come here, my advice is ignore the staff and just ride. The riding is what we go for anyway. read more

AWESOME!!! Went June 17, 18,19 of 2016. Rented a SBS and two quads for the weekend. Equipment was awesome. We bent a few items and it cost a little bit to repair but not bad. The repair costs in my opinion were very reasonable. The staff, Margret, Amy, the other girls at the counter, the guys from the shop...they were all really great. I'll definitely go back but will wait until I have my own equipment. ** A couple points to note especially if you plan to take kids. - The 10 mph speed limit in the parking lots and around the buildings, not really adhered to nor seemingly enforced. - The 11:00 "quiet time" also not adhered to or enforced. Friday night people were riding in from the trails at 2am. I rented the Turtle Creek Cabin (very nice by the way) and we sat on the porch and watched people ride in from the trails up until 2am. Saturday night they did a "night ride" until midnight. But here again people were out until almost 3am. Didn't bother us but just something to note. - The rules say alcohol is not to leave the camping areas. However, we saw people drinking all day out on the trails Saturday. I'm not exactly sure how they could prevent it, but here again, me being a dad, it would concern me that there were so many intoxicated operators out there while my kids were riding. Or anyone really, but definitely made me nervous for kids. - The cabin was SO worth it. Beds were clean and comfortable, AC got the place so cold we could've hung meat. And overall just a clean nice way to enjoy the weekend. All in all I gave it 5 stars because I had a great time and the staff was just great. It's definitely "where to ride" read more

After reading the online reviews we approached Carolina Adventure World cautiously. Visitor reaction was decidedly more mixed than for other riding parks. And yes, it is expensive - $40 vs $25. Would it be 60% better? Up the paved drive, to the ticket booth, onto the welcome centre, to the huge parking areas, it was obvious that a ton of money has been invested. And the riding area access roads are as good, or better, then most local side roads. All very impressive, and a cut above other parks, but what about the riding? At the entrance we were informed that the low-lying areas were flooded and to avoid certain trails and zones. Carolina Adventure World is muddy and hilly! Fun if that's what you like, but on two wheels it was tough going on the ATV trails (which made up most of the riding area) and we were in the dry zone! We turned off before the flood zone and tried a side trail. Every spot that could hold water...did. Dry it would've been tons of fun, and likely dusty. Today? Well today at least there was no dust. Tiring of the ATV trails we headed for the bike-only section. It was in a separate area.... a different forest altogether! And it was the best riding of the day - winding through the hill sides and dipping down into the valleys. So, was CAW worth $40?? No. The parking lot was filled with 4 wheelers, not 2 - a telling sign if you like dirt biking. There was little attention paid to the single track. The arrowing was missing in some spots and hard to decipher in others. We rode one section backwards! There were no arrows/signs at the beginning. And, curiously, we never saw another bike on the single track. There were MX tracks, but like the trail sections, 4 wheeling seems to be the focus. The online comments reflected our feelings too. My husband and I had an awesome time. We came on a Monday so we were practically the only ones there! Well groomed trails.. although I was disappointed in the amount of beer cans littering the entire park. It makes me scared to ride during any other time than when the park is empty-- I'm not trying to ride with drunk drivers on ATVs! That's a terrifying thought. Maybe they should check coolers? There's got to be a way to regulate that. We can't wait to return- and hope the wash station for the ATVs is up and running. read more

Terribly disappointment in management. On 8/27/22 I drove over 3 hours to come to Carolina Adventure World for the third time in 2 weeks, because I enjoy this park that much! I had even inquired about season passes and had all intentions of purchasing them that day . My brother recently purchased a side by side and we were excited to have a nice family day riding together. This unfortunately this did not go as planned. I prepaid and we signed our waivers ahead of time. While I was in line the last employee checking me in told him me I was good to go. After we parked and were getting prepared to ride, a woman with 2 men pulled up yelling, "Don't even unload! I'm kicking you all out!" She accused me of speeding at the gate and almost hitting an employee. I obviously was very confused due to following another person in the gate all the way to the parking lot . My brother asked if we could at least have a refund considering all three of us drove separately. I even asked if I could apologize to the employee. The woman was very rude and refused either. She called the sheriff and we were told unfortunately since this is private property we had to leave and we're not allowed back. My brother and girlfriend explained They were in different vehicles, but was told since they was part of "my" party they were also . This was extremely upsetting considering this is a place We frequently go to with family. He did explain he usually dealt with a different employee who was pretty reasonable when compared to this particular woman.We have tried contacting the operations manager and Vice President regarding the situation, but unfortunately have not gotten a response. I feel this is very unfair considering I was accused of something and have asked several file to see the "video proof" but nothing . I also feel that someone in power should be able to handle their emotions more levelheaded. Yelling and cursing at customers is absolutely uncalled for and I am very disappointed. Even had a large group of friends come several hours later that had mentioned they knew of the situation I had gone through earlier and the employee had acted like they weren't gonna let them in bc they "knew me and probably were trouble " as well . read more

The wood they sell will not burn, it is to wet better to bring your own wood but their website says you can not bring your own wood yet people that work there say you can bring your own wood!!! Took over 4 hrs to get wood to start to burn and even then it did not want to burn waste of money on their wood. read more

If I could give this place less than one star after today, I absolutely would. To start with, my husband, myself, and our friends have had great times at CAW for a few years now. Today, their indisputable greed lost them our business. Yesterday, my husband and two of his friends took our side by side down to CAW for the day. As luck would have it, shortly before 2:00 (this is important to know for later), a drive belt broke and they were stranded on a pretty muddy trail. In an attempt to save $200 (yes, $200 per CAW) to be towed back to the trailer, they called another friend to come and try to pull them out. Unfortunately, his ATV was not enough to get them out and they realized the belt would have to be replaced. At that point, they were told that CAW stops towing at 2:00-mind you, they stay open until 6:00 during the Winter months. I guess people don't get stuck after 2:00-oh wait, yes they do. Anyway, my husband unsuccessfully tried many other possible solutions before finally deciding that he would have to go home for the day and come back tomorrow with a belt. As he was pulling out, he told the person at the entrance about his situation and that he would be returning tomorrow. He also inquired about having to pay again just to come in, put on the belt, and drive his ranger home. He was told that he shouldn't have to pay and when he returned, to ask to speak with Vinny. Fast forward to this morning-my husband pulls in and speaks to the young lady at the fence, telling her that his side by side is located on their property and that he and his friend are simply there to get to it, fix it, and take it home. He also had his four wheeler with him as his ranger was located on one of the farthest trails possible and he needed a way to get to it. He mentions that he was told to ask for Vinny in regards to not having to pay another drive/ride fee. The young girl calls Vinny, who then shows up in his truck but never comes to speak to my husband himself. He tells the cashier that he will go speak to Lisa and call her back to let her know. After waiting a few minutes, the young girl takes a phone call in which Lisa tells her that my husband does have to pay again as a driver and that his friend, who is there to help him-after working all night, trust me, he wasn't there to play-would have to pay as a rider. They then changed to say that his friend would have to pay as a driver as well since he would be driving the four wheeler back to the truck after the ranger was repaired. Neither of the adults in this situation had the backbone to actually talk to my husband and tell him this in person. Instead, they put a 16 year old (at most) girl on their front line to be the messenger-can we say cowards? So, $80 later, my husband was able to go in and retrieve his ranger and bring it home. I'm going to assume that Lisa made the final call on whether or not he would have to pay, since Vinny made it seem like she had the final say-shame on you, Lisa. Your greed for your business or the business you manage lost longtime and faithful customers. That's poor business and that's being a poor example of a human. My husband was already frustrated at the loss of his day yesterday because of a broken belt, then on top of that, he had to spend an unexpected $225 on a belt, and then you just kicked him when he was down and made him shell out $80 more, for what? Do ya'll need the money that bad? Well, honestly, you may if that's how you treat your customers. I'm a firm believer of having to pay to play and trust me, my husband and I do not own things we can't afford to take care of in emergencies. But that $80 fee today was unnecessary. For those who have stuck with me and read all of this, I would highly encourage you to look for another place in which to give your money. This business is greedy, selfish, and does not care about their customers as evidenced today. I hear The Broken Nut in Kershaw, SC is just as fun, $10 a day, and, if I had to guess, cares more about customer service than these guys. Had a great time riding dirt bikes at Carolina Adventure World. There is 2600 acres of riding area. 110 miles of trails, 10 dedicated to dirt bike only. Lots of hills through the wood. So I've been going here several years now usually at least twice a year. The trail quality has gone progressively downhill. We used to have so much fun riding these trails. We went today and it has gotten to the point of almost miserable. The price has increased to $40 per rider and the trails have massive ruts (some 4-5 feet!) and the amount of mud is crazy. A moderate level blue trail (ex trail #4) has so much mud no one was able to cross the bottom of the hill without getting stuck and bogged down in 4 feet of red mud in the consistency of an icee. You will get stuck so often you're spend 2 hours trying to get back off the trail to a service road. Our ATVs and clothes were completely covered in red mud, pounds of red mud stuck to the ATVs. If I wanted to go to a mud fest I wouldn't have spent 40 bucks. Now if the trails were the same quality as when they opened they could probably get away with that price but for me and my wife this may have been the last visit. Worst customer service ever! Teenagers trying to figure out paperwork they can't even count to 20. We only went because we had free passes from the dealership. Well since the dealership didnt give us a bill of sale we had to pay to ride. The people at the gate are rude as heck. We wont return. Oh and they were talking smack about us to our friends in front of us until our friends told them we were corrected. read more

After reading Elena's review, I don't think I can add much to it. My Sister and her family took me camping here when I was visiting recently. I must say I had a blast!! They have trails for the novice to the most experienced. A very helpful staff(helped us fix our booboo from mud bogging) and just miles and miles of fun! Sick! Maybe it's cuz i'm a city boy, but the "great outdoors", combined with TPT-styled ATV riding (for the record, TPT stands for 'trailer park trash' aka shirtless, regular shoes, and zero armor (minus helmet)) made for a most-excellent adventure. I'd go again, but this time I'd suit up some more. I highly recommend gloves as the second most item after the helmet. I highly recommend it as a good way to break some bones in your body... especially if you survive a few tough trails without a scratch! Really amps you up! read more

If I could give NO STARS it would be too many. They charge you a "spectator" pass and all you are able to spectate are the RV's in the campground. Management and employees were not friendly or accommodating. They charge you to ride even if you arrive late in the day and are not riding. Not even in the same class as Durhamtown plantation. If your a Dirtbike rider and love riding trails/mx tracks I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! read more

We went to Carolina Adventure World to ride ATV's We had to rent a ATV because we only had 1 at the time. I think if you rent for $250 bucks that you should not also be charges a ride fee on top! Why is that not in the cost of the rental?!?! The trails seemed to be well maintained for many people riding them. Good size mud puddles to get everyone dirty. When we checked in was they told us trails clearly marked, but at time you came out of into the big area with multiple wagon wheel spokes and you had to pull out a map and try to figure out where the heck you are, get frustrated because it is your first time and you don't have a clue! This was in multiple spots so you just pick one and hope you are going in the correct direction. All in all we had a fun day and I would go back after I get another ATV with power steering as theirs did not and yes it does make a difference for riding long hours. read more

Do not recommend this place. First time here and excited to see what South Carolina has to offer. If you have an RV with 50 amp service, for get about having reliable power. When we arrived our RV didn't have power at the post because the breaker kept popping with just one Ac running. The rest of the spots also had the same problem. We had to use our generator for several hours. Took them over an hour to replace the breaker at the main box. Had the same issues the next day. The maintenance guy said they've had low amperage power and breakers since 2007 and were planning to upgrade at some point. As much as they charge to ride here, this should've been fixed a long time ago. read more

Great place to enjoy the summer on the water. They have all the thing you could hope for. I think the most important to me and my wife is how considerate the staff is from the owner, to the guys that put your boat in the water. I found the lake to be much bigger, and cleaner also. I can't say enough for the stall all of them have gone the extra mile to help us while there at the marina and out on the water. Very glad we moved our boat after almost 12 years at another marina. Looking forward to this years boating season. I see a commet about winterizing a boat. That includes draining the water out of it and filling it with drinkijng safe anti freeze, for winter, then checking everything out in the spring and have it ready to go. They us to charge you two times, once in the winter and once in the summer. They just put it together to save them time and money, and it helps you also. read more

Very cool setup for riders of all skill levels. Renting a quad was a blast. The dirt bikes are smaller and a bit rough but I don't know anyone that will rent you a KTM so there it is. Cabins were clean nice and convenient. Great weekend for the family or would be an awesome bachelor party spot. read more

Great place to ride and everyone has been very accommodating to me as a disabled rider. Hopefully they will have an ADA cabin soon. They have an accessible Yurt if you don't mind going to the bathhouse. read more

We were here several months ago and visited today which was Tuesday. We were greatly disappointed to here that CAW no longer have 1/2 price Tuesday park fees and we were charged $32 per person. When we asked the staff at the entry gate about it, they had no clue. However, the most astonoshing thing we found was that CAW now charges DOUBLE the ATV rental rate then they did last time we were here. They now charge a whopping $251.45 daily rate and the ATV has to be returned by 4pm! They even put a higher deposit on your credit card for an ATV damage hold to $1,000! When we complained to staff they were oblivious and more concerned about talking on their cell phones. The staff is all compromised of teenaged kids who are oblivious. The funny thing is they have the same "rat" rental ATV's and same ungroomed trails. You get nothing for their astronomical increase in fees. Our two families of 8 riders, my brother and I, just said good bye to CAW due to their unaffordable fee hikes! Congratulations CAW we'll take our business elsewhere! read more

If your over the age of 10 this is the most boring riding in the country. It says over 100 miles of trails but within being here for 2 hrs I rode everything here. There's nothing challenging about the whole place. For what you pay it's not worth it. I can go to West Virginia and ride hard for three days on 300 miles of trails and never cross one I've already rode. Here I cross the same trail every 10min. They don't have but maybe 20miles of trails and I'd bet the farm on that. Do yourself a favor ride in your acre back yard for free. You can have just as much fun. read more

Just a heads up...if you are staying Fri. and Sat. with Sun. checkout be warned....you will have to pay for a 3 day riding pass and obtain a refund of that third day when you leave. We used to ride CAW a couple of times a month, until the new ownership took over and started the price gouging! It's the closest park to us but now we will drive double the distance to ride Sunnyside in GA or Durhamtown. Hopefully the new owners will sell this place so it can be run efficiently again. I can't say enough good things about this place! This is Disneyland for the young at heart! My 15 yr old son and I had a BLAST adventuring through all the trails, climbing rock-filled paths, and seeing just how much mud we could collect on our helmets. We rented the Fox Den cabin and two Grizzly 350's for our 4 day stay. Nice, clean cabin and facility. Very friendly and helpful staff -- especially the mechanic shop guys who kept our machines running great. We stayed Sunday night through Wednesday night and pretty much had the entire park to ourselves. (We heard from a few folks which said the weekends were packed!) Would we go back?? ABSOLUTELY!! Already planning the next long weekend when we can drive the 7 hours back to SC from South Alabama. Go make some memories we your kids!! I certainly did!! read more

Some friends and I came here expecting something which turned out to be quite different. According to their website, they have a motocross track and trails. Well, they definitely have trails, some of which were fun, some were so rutted out by erosion that they were almost unrideable. I can live with that because I understand that trails are hard to maintain. The real issue I have is that they advertise a motocross track and trust me... what they have is NOT an MX track. It was the worst "track" I have ever been on. I don't think it's been groomed in at least 20 years. The dirt was so hard packed (no exaggeration... it was as hard as concrete) with baseball to bowling ball sized rocks scattered about. Some erosion ruts were two feet deep. It was unbelievable. They need to remove any mention of an MX track from their advertisements because they don't have one. I will say though, that the amenities they have there are great. Air conditioned showers and bathrooms, full RV hook ups, power wash station (that you have to pay for), etc. read more

Don't plan to rent an ATV here! The park is great, but the ATVs are junk. The staff don't care and the management is rude. If you come from a long way away, stay there, pay the trail fees, and they dont have a working ATV to rent that you reserved, you are out o' luck. At least there is a lot to do there otherwise - oh, wait - NOT! Find somewhere else to go that is a full-service destination and gives a hoot about its guests. read more
