Cabinets were delivered 8 weeks late (16 -20 weeks after ordering. Which delayed the job 3-4 months. The cabinets were built wrong, had missing pieces, were damaged, rude installer, and when 1 package of the missing pieces arrived, the owner told me she wasn't going to have another installer come finish the job. I had to find and pay another installer to buy the raw material, sand it, stain it, cut it, and install it. It took me 11 months to have the job completed and paid an additional $8,000 to have the job completed. WORST Cabinet company EVER! DO NOT DO business with them, unless you want to get ripped off.

I'm glad we will be remodeling our kitchen with another company, after the runaround just trying to get a quote I would hate to experience actually working with them on a project. What a nightmare of a customer experience!

I assumed that they were just busy. There were errors that affected the outcome of the kitchen that could have been prevented with better communication. But the big problem was the installer, I will refer to him as A. He was rude and destructive. During the tear out of the old kitchen, he did not put down anything to protect our hardwood floors.They are now dented and scratched, from the kitchen through the living room and out the front door. He carelessly dumped all of the debris on our front porch, heavily scratching the floor and front of our house. Both need to be repainted now. He needed a reliable helper. The one he had rarely showed up. Because A was doing the heavy lifting alone, our new cabinets got beat up. I had to touch up the damage with paint that I purchased. If you look closely you can see where. And lastly, A did not clean up at the end of the day as the owner promised. I did it myself every evening. Then to top it all off, A spent much of the day fielding phone calls from his girlfriend who would call to report the issues of her day. When he was not on the phone with the girlfriend, A would ramble on to me about his personal life. Way too much information! I waited a year to write this to make sure I wasn't over-reacting. Nope. It was the worst home improvement experience I've ever had.

Poor oversight of subcontractor work, resulting in constant revisions once we pointed out errors and refused to accept substandard work for custom luxury home. Constant conflict over quality of work. Builder used basic building code as standard of excellence. Midway through project builder attempted to change terms of contract because profit was not what he would have liked; all secondary to poor planning on his part from start of the project. Builder demanded final payment prior to completion of work- we refused and paid once work was completed. Builder did not honor One Year Walk Through and Warranty. Attempt to contact builder at one year mark for walk through and builder did not respond to our communications for two months. He then asked for our list of items for corrections. Upon receiving list builder said it was past the one year mark and he would not be doing the contractual walk through nor honor his warranty; despite the fact it was his negligence in ignoring our communications. At that point he stated it was best if we went our separate ways. I am now in the process of personally fixing nail pops, incorrect HVAC install, incorrect plumbing install, completing basic things like weathstripping that was never completed, remediating drainage swales that were not correctly done, etc. Save yourself the headache and money and choose another builder for your next home purchase.

Unfortunately, I had to wait weeks for the install, since I called at the absolute busiest time of the season! But, it was well worth the wait. Foothills Fireplace & Stove employees Maverick and Taylor arrived on time to install our new fireplace woodstove insert. They are a great team that worked together efficiently and expertly to assure an quality installation. Maverick took extra care and time to fit the most appropriate chimney cap configuration in place. He made certain to not damage the roof television antenna that was positioned close by and above the chimney area. Taylor's expertise was evident when he assembled and placed the woodstove insert into the fireplace. They demonstrated best practices for starting the fire and using the stove. Compared to my previous insert stove, the draft moving up the chimney was excellent. Both men were careful not to damage the floor and left everything clean. Maverick went the extra mile and mixed up some mortar repair for several areas. He repaired both the hearth and outside brick mortar joints on his own. I was not even aware of faulty mortar on the chimney outside. It was impressive that they were not rushing to finish this job. It was important to them that the completed work was 100% accurate and as it should be. I will definitely be reaching out to them in the future for any chimney inspections and cleanings. I thought maybe it was a mistake, as I could not understand, after comparing his quote with the other quotes, how his could be so much less for the same work??? I called maybe six of his 20 or more references and they all were very positive, and said they would use him again; some were business references and they said they use Foothills on a regular basis. I then called Brook and asked if he did veterans, law-enforcement, and or senior discounts, which he did give me an additional 2%. I booked them, they came out on time, Brook introduced me to his crew who were doing the work, and by the end of the day they were done. I was pleased, and my HVAC company, pest control company, engineer, and others who have since gone into my crawlspace, have said what a great job Foothills did. They returned earlier this year to do an annual inspection.
