Their website was not working properly, so I was unable to view available options or pricing and instead placed my order over the phone. During that conversation, the person taking my order did not clearly disclose the total price or explain the additional charges/add-ons that would be included. When my card was charged $216, I was extremely surprised by the total. I immediately called back and requested that the order be canceled because I was uncomfortable proceeding with the transaction. Rather than handling my concern professionally, the merchant began yelling at me and told me that it was my fault because I had not asked better questions. I found that response completely inappropriate. Businesses have a responsibility to clearly communicate pricing and charges before processing a customer's payment--not blame the customer afterward for failing to ask enough questions. During that same call, I was told the order would be canceled and my money would be refunded. That refund has not been issued, and my phone number has since been blocked, leaving me unable to contact the business regarding the money I was told would be returned. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before providing payment information to this business. The lack of transparency regarding pricing, the way my cancellation request was handled, the failure to provide the promised refund, and subsequently blocking my number are deeply concerning business practices. I had the worst experience ever with Beau Soleil Weddings(Ravin Sessions). My first wedding date…read morewas 7 September 2019 in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Prior to my wedding, Hurricane Doran was due to hit South Carolina at any day. The forecast for Hurricane Doran(30 August-6 September) became worst and the Governor of SC declared a state of emergency not allowing anyone to enter Myrtle Beach. The venue cancelled the day prior to my wedding and offered me my money back. Every vendor involved with my wedding except Beau Soleil Wedding(Ravin Sessions) refunded my money back. I was told there were no refunds and I could reschedule. Not reading the contract, we rescheduled for April 11, 2020. Fast forward 30 March 2020, Covid-19 hit. Again, the governor of SC declared a state of emergency for Covid-19. Everything had been shut down by 6 April. The venue cancelled again and offered me my money back. Again, every vendor involved in my wedding refunded my money except Beau Soleil Wedding(Ravin Sessions). Looking through the contract this time, I found out that the "no refund" part was not true. The cancellation policy stated that any issue with fulfilling service, Beau Soleil will make every effort to contact the Bride and Groom. "Beau Soleil Wedding reserve the right to substitute another vendor or outsource accordingly to fulfill the order in their absence. If unable to render service or unable to find a replacement vendor to render service, the Bride will receive a full refund for all pre-paid services. I contacted Beau Soleil (Ravin Sessions) alone with the venue. I asked about the refund, no response. Two weeks later, Beau Soleil Weddings(Ravin Sessions), said they were forwarding their contract to a lawyer to see if they could refund the money because the money had already been spent. About a month later, I called with no response. Later on that day I received an email from Beau Soleil Weddings(Ravin Sessions) stating that I had two options. First option was no refund and reschedule. The second option was to be refunded half of what I paid in 30 days. I refused and wanted all my money back. Where it was suppose to be one of the happiest days of my life, became one of the worst days and experience of my life. I don't know how I was suppose to get around two natural disaster to have my wedding and on top of that, no refund of my money due to again two natural disasters. I will never see the decorations for my wedding. They will be reuse over and over with money that was stolen from me. Just a warning for anyone who decide to do business with Beau Soleil Wedding(Ravin Sessions). Any natural disasters occur, due to no fault of yours or is out of your control, look forward to not getting your money back and being screwed.
