I went here for undergrad and I had such a great experience, minus 2 of the roommates I had who became sudden haters overnight. Well, that means I did something right ;) This university is very diverse for one that is in the south. Yes, I said it. There were always events going on, the apartments on campus are really nice, convenience stores the best on campus ones I've seen, the financial aid office was top notch, and the teachers I had were personable and I was able to talk to them and they didn't have a God complex when they had Ph.D's. I have nothing but 85% good memories about college & made great friends I will have for life. The city of Greensboro itself? Meh. VERY little nightlife, eateries, and events compared to NYC. But if you're with people who you can have fun with regardless, the surrounding area is an added bonus OR an obstacle that you will tackle. The End.
